Following on from the currently-running technical test, the game's developer has teased an imminent launch for the upcoming action roguelike. Who are the Hades 2 Gods and characters? As you explore the underworld, a compelling cast of colorful characters are waiting to help you on your journey. Some NPCs are there to test you, aid you in mastering your skills, and sell you useful items. Gods, on the other hand, appear at random to give you special items to aid you in combat.

Whenever you start a new crawl through the dungeons of Hades 2, or pass through a gate into the next, you can interact with a randomly allocated Sigil that is usually associated with one of the Greek gods. These Hades 2 Boons grant you a choice of buff to your attack or defense, themed around the God offering their help. Hades 2 Arcana Cards explained

Want to know about the Hades 2 Arcana Cards? The Hades 2 technical test has dropped, giving fans a sneak peek of their favorite roguelike as it returns for a daring sequel. One of the new mechanics are the Arcana Cards, a special set of cards that contain power ups capable of turning Melinoë into a killing machine.

We still don't know how far away the Hades 2 release date is just yet, but we do know that you can sign up to the technical test today to get your hands on the roguelike game. Hades 2 is better than the original in every single way

I'll be the first to admit that my excitement around the announcement of Hades 2, the direct sequel to one of my favorite games of all time, was pierced with apprehension. Supergiant's approach to sequels in the past has been to, well, not make them. Each new game the indie studio puts out features a new world with new characters, challenges, narratives, and gameplay styles. Hades hit differently, though, with its roguelike structure embellished with tales of mythological family and personal struggles. The element of the original Hades that really drew me in, as a queer woman, was the underlying theme of sexuality and gender identity that highlighted the personal lifestyles of us all.
