Fallout 76 – Special Steam Offers

When Fallout 76’s Wastelanders expansion launches on April 14, the entire game (including Wastelanders) will also be launching on Steam. Of course, many of our PC fans who have played the game through the Bethesda.net Launcher would also like to have the option to play on Steam, so we have a special offer just for you. From now through 11:59pm ET, April 12, if you have already purchased Fallout 76 on Bethesda.net, you have the opportunity to get the game on Steam, including Wastelanders.

All you have to do to get your free Steam copy of Fallout 76 is go here and link your Steam account to your Bethesda.net account before 11:59pm ET, April 12. When the Steam version is available, you will automatically receive your Fallout 76 entitlement.

Please note, you will not be able to transfer your Atoms or Fallout 1st membership balance between Bethesda.net and Steam. Additionally, Atoms you earn are specific to one platform or the other. However, items you have purchased through the Atomic Shop will be available in both Bethesda.net and Steam.

As a reminder, Wastelanders is a free expansion for players who already own the base game and you will not have to make an additional purchase to receive this new content. If you don’t already have the base game, you’ll be able to get the Wastelanders edition on April 14. Get the full breakdown of each available game bundle here.
Fallout Classic Collection
If you haven’t purchased Fallout 76 on Bethesda.net, we still have a surprise for you when you join us on Steam. From April 14 through April 28, if you buy Fallout 76 on Steam (either the standard Fallout 76: Wastelanders version or the Fallout 76: Wastelanders Deluxe Edition), you will receive the Fallout Classic Collection – a bundle that includes Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics – for free! Those who own the game on Bethesda.net and activate their free Steam copy will also receive the Fallout Classic Collection during that two-week post-launch window.
FAQ
We know you may have some other questions relating to this Steam news and we wanted to make sure we covered off on some of the major ones that may pop up.

Does my progress carry over between Steam and Bethesda.net?

All game progress carries. Atoms and Fallout 1st membership entitlements are the only parts which are not integrated due to technical limitations.

Will there be achievements?

Steam has the same achievements that are on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Be mindful that you will need to start a new character if you wish to obtain some of the quest-related or level-related achievements.

If I move to Steam can I still play with my friends on Bethesda.net?

Yep! Your friends list on Bethesda.net is the same as the one on Steam. So, all PC players can play together, regardless of launcher.

Will my Atoms transfer from my Bethesda.net account to my Steam account?

No. Your Atoms will not be transferrable from Bethesda.net to Steam. However, if you use your Atoms to purchase items from the Atomic Shop, these items will carry over to your Steam account if you’re logging in with the same Bethesda.net username.

Can I get a refund or transfer my Atoms from Bethesda.net to Steam, and vice versa?

Unless you would otherwise be entitled to a refund under our Terms of Service, unfortunately, we will not be able to transfer or refund Atoms. We recommend spending your Atoms prior to switching launchers.

What happens when I buy Atomic Shop items using my Steam account and then log into my Bethesda.net account?

All owned items go with you regardless of which PC platform you are using to launch the game. Anything you buy in Bethesda.net will show up in Steam and vice versa.

I have Fallout 76 on PS4 or Xbox. Will I also get access to Wastelanders on Steam?

Only PC players on Bethesda.net will be able receive Fallout 76 on Steam.

Will you transfer my Fallout 1st entitlement from Bethesda.net to Steam?

Due to technical limitations, Fallout 1st memberships and Atoms cannot be transferred automatically from Bethesda.net to Steam. If you currently have a Fallout 1st annual membership, we encourage you to inform our Customer Support team to see what options are available to you.

Do I have to download the game again if I already have it downloaded on the Bethesda.net launcher?

Yes, you will need to download the game via Steam.

If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Customer Support team.
