Have Fallout 4 and New Vegas again, say Bethesda, and also a release date for Fallout 76's Burning Springs

Yesterday was Fallout Day, the date in the series' universe when the bombs dropped and permanently turned a lot of people into those skeletons you grind into dust while tramping about in your power armour. Bethesda awakened Todd Howard from cryo-sleep, and announced some stuff in a broadcast. Fallout 4 and New Vegas are being sold to people again. Also, in admittedly more exciting news, Fallout 76's Burning Springs update got a proper release date.


The upcoming second series of Prime Video's Fallout TV Show was also there, with that and the 76 update set to make December very Walton Gogginsy.

Bethesda has confirmed when we'll be heading to Fallout 76 Burning Springs to take on the Rust King and get buddy-buddy with Walton Goggins as The Ghoul. Creative director Jon Rush and lead Producer Bill LaCost call the Ohio-set expansion F76's "biggest update ever," and one "in complete tonal tandem" with the second season of the Fallout show on Amazon Prime. Dust off your boots, grab your Stimpacks and RadAway, and oil up your Fixer, because it's time to claim some bounties.

  • [p]Overwriting blueprint that causes a duplicate no longer results in crashing.[/p]

  • [p]When inside a shelter, the blueprinted subcategory is no longer available in Build Mode.[/p]

[h3]Gameplay[/h3]
  • [p]Becoming immune to fall damage while not in power armor now always prevents the stagger animation.[/p]
  • [p]All Cryo damage now has a unified effect that slows the target and drains Action Points. This effect scales up the more Cryo damage the target takes and recovers over time when the target isn’t taking Cryo damage. Cryo resistance also plays a role in how quickly the status effect is built up and recovers. Weapons and effects that caused a slowing effect now deal Cryo damage instead.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where applying slow effects to a target could make them move very fast.[/p]
  • [p]RAD damage is no longer recovered to a minimum value when loading into the world. RAD damage is still recovered to a minimum value when respawning. This also applies to Glow for Ghouls.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where damaging auras would not deal any damage in certain cases.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players could be stuck in a state where their AP constantly drains.[/p]
[h3]Perks[/h3]
  • [p]Cryo damage should now correctly trigger the Deal Sealer Perk.[/p]
  • [p]“What Rads” Perk can now only be equipped by Humans.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue on the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. page which displayed "0 unused point" over full categories.[/p]
  • [p]S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadout Manager should now perform better when scrolling.[/p]
  • [p]Blood Sacrifice: AP should no longer continue to drain HP while outside of VATS.[/p]
  • [p]The Cloaked icon should now be displayed for Escape Artist and Chameleon.[/p]
  • [p]Twisted Muscles penalties to VATS accuracy and cone of fire are now reduced by the Class Freak perk card.[/p]
