And bug fixes, a lot of bug fixes.[/p][p][/p][p]Hopefully everyone will find something that they were waiting for here. Let’s Drift![/p][p][/p]
Patch Notes

New Content

Nissan GTR R35 EBA
[p]Introducing the R35 EBA, a car considered by many as the ‘final form’ of the GTR series. It comes with six bodykits available to be unlocked and costs 4,900,000Y to buy at the dealer. The stock version expands the roster of our grip cars.[/p][p][/p]
New Racing Tracks
[p]Hakome Stadium - a sports arena made into an ultimate race challenge; Takekaze Tōge - a racing track located at the foot of the volcano, hidden within a bamboo forest. You will find both by looking for a trophy cup marker on the map - for the former it’s Ichikara East, for the latter - northern-west side of the volcano. Available from the open world or the Challenge Mode in the Main Menu. [/p][p][/p]
Side Story Campaign - Tiger
[p]Following the path set by the “Rise of the Scorpion” update, which expands the plotline through opponents’ backstories, a new side story campaign is introduced to the game. The Tiger’s campaign follows the tale of Naoto Date - one of the players’ major opponents in JDM, from his childhood dream, through tragedy to a second chance at life. The campaign consists of 9 events, summing to 11 completely new races. After completing Chapter 02, Mission 01 the first part of his campaign will be marked on the map. Completing the whole campaign will reward you with Tiger’s boss car (known from the main campaign). [/p][p][/p]
Wheel and Rims modification
[p]An expanded feature for the already existing Car Setup in the game, allowing for the modification of wheels and rims. This feature will allow players to further visually tune their cars to their hearts’ content. There are up to 7 new settings, depending on the wheel selection, available to modify. The options include rim diameter and width adjustments, as well as offset options. You will be able to change the tire profile between low, medium and high, change the tires’ width and modify spacers. Finally, you will be able to alter the rim lip type. The changes are cosmetic only, so feel free to experiment![/p][p][/p]
Optimization and graphical settings

XeSS 2.0 support
[p]JDM is now running XeSS 2.1.1.1, including Frame Generation and Low Latency technology. Its implementation vastly improves performance on Intel and AMD cards and has been set as default for the owners of said GPUs. [/p][p][/p]
Multi Frame Generation for DLSS
[p]The game now supports Multi Frame Generation times 2 and times 3 for Nvidia RTX 5xxx owners. This feature can be turned off (default) and on from the game’s graphics options menu.[/p][p][/p]
Decreased Loading Times
[p]We are still exploring ways to further decrease the loading times across the entire game but today we have a first batch of changes. Through various optimization processes done across the entire game the loading times should be a little shorter. We have completely removed loading screens when accessing Shops available from the Main Menu of the game - Change Car, Tuning Shop, Car Setup.[/p][p][/p][p]With the amount of changes made to the graphics engine the game may want to redo the Automatic Graphics Settings Configuration on launch.[/p][p][/p]
Handheld Devices Support
[p]We improved the general performance on handheld devices; we improved the UI positioning; we added dedicated graphical presets and balanced the visual optimization. Handheld users, please let us know how the changes improved your performance. [/p][p][/p]
Other
• [p]Mesh optimization for improved performance.[/p]
  • [p]Level streaming improvements.[/p]

It’s communicated through the pop-up screen when driving into the side mission’s marker in the open world. [/p][p]We’ve balanced the races in rainy conditions. [/p][p][/p]
Sushi Delivery
[p]We have removed the Delivery Laurel from side missions (you will still use it in campaign missions), you will now deliver the packages in the car you were driving when interacting with the side mission marker in the open world. [/p][p][/p]
Landmarks
[p]We have fixed the issues with the infamous Kaguchi Valley and Inadani Village landmarks. They should now properly register when taking a photo in their respective spots.[/p][p][/p]
Physics
• [p]Improved AWD (All Wheel Drive) car physics.[/p]
  • [p]Improved collision and force compensation physics.[/p]
  • [p]Resolved physics issues causing undesirable outcomes and unbalanced forces acting on the cars.[/p][p][/p]
Other Changes
• [p]\[audio] Added a new sound effect when the car lands on the ground after a jump.[/p]

  • [p]\[Gameplay] Car telemetry now displays proper values.[/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes
• [p]\[cars] fixed A LOT of bugs connected with car models and car parts. Mentioning every single change here would bore you to death, so please, after the update if you see an issue connected to a car or one of its modifications that has not been fixed, give us a holler.
We’ll make one single exception here, as it was a very commonly requested fix: issues connected with the Yotsuhoshi Revolution have been solved. [/p]
  • [p]\[gameplay] Fixed an issue where, in some instances, resetting the car back on the road would blast the car away.[/p]
  • [p]\[system] Fixed issues, which were causing the game to crash. Minimised the probability of such issues to reappear.[/p]
  • [p]\[UX] Fixed an issue where the smartphone would react to the default input press, even if the key was rebound. [/p]
  • [p]\[UX] The navigation will no longer readjust its path to the Tuner Shop after the “New parts are available” prompt on the screen.[/p]
  • [p]\[UI] The UI will no longer disappear, if the player opens the map right before a race starts.[/p]
  • [p]\[UI] Some on-screen text and notifications have been fixed or adjusted to better reflect the situation in the game. [/p]

Take a look at what else is coming to the game, completely for free:[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Now, let’s break down some of the key features coming to JDM: Japanese Drift Master in Update 1.7.0.[/p][p][/p]
Wheel and Rims Customization

[p]We’ve expanded the Car Setup system to include additional modifications done to tires and rims. You will be able to make changes to front and rear tires separately. The options include rim diameter and width adjustments, as well as offset options. You will be able to change the tire profile between low, medium and high, change the tires’ width and modify spacers. Finally, you will be able to alter the rim lip type.[/p][p][/p][p]Not all options will be available for all of the wheels - only the three-part rims will have every adjustment option unlocked and stock wheels cannot be modified at all.[/p][p][/p][p]These wheel modifications are cosmetic only, so feel free to experiment with the looks of your car to your heart's content. [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
New Car - Nissan GTR R35 EBA

[p]The GTR R35 EBA is a culmination of years of continuous refinement by Nissan’s Engineers. The car debuted in 2017 and is considered to be the ‘final version’ of the R35. With 566 horsepower and 467 lb-ft (652Nm) of torque it’s a true beast on the street.  [/p][p][/p][p]Set-up as a grip racing car with an All Wheel Drive, it expands our roster of racing cars. If you would like to drift with this car, don’t worry, you can make a drivetrain swap in the Tuner Shop to RWD.[/p][p]The R35 will launch with six bodykits available to unlock. [/p][p][/p][p]The Nissan GTR R35 EBA comes to JDM: Japanese Drift Master as a completely free update available for everyone to enjoy![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
A New Side Story Campaign - Tiger

[p]Continuing to expand the backstory of our game, we are introducing the tale of the Tiger, whose humble beginnings lead to a true legend being born, followed by a heartbreaking tragedy. We won’t spoil anything more here, as his story arc is pivotal for the main campaign so feel free to jump into this adventure the next time you load up the game after the patch.[/p][p][/p][p]There are 9 completely new events (11 races in total) awaiting you, complete with new manga panels. You will be able to access the new content through a dedicated marker in the open world, which will unlock after Chapter 02, mission 01. As with the Rise of the Scorpion update, once you finish a side story mission, its next part will become available, until you finish the whole campaign. Oh, and completing the Tiger campaign will reward you with Naoto’s highly customized (livery included!) car![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
New Racing Tracks

[p]We’ve added two, completely new racing tracks to the game:[/p][p][/p][p]The Hakome Stadium[/p][p]Accessible from the back entrance to the Stadium in Ichikara East. It’s a one of a kind arena experience that will test your racing prowess like none other mission available in the game. With a full stadium in attendance, the roars of the fans will keep you sweating to beat your best time, over and over again! [/p][p][/p][p]The Takekaze Tōge[/p][p]A new racing track located at the foot of the volcano, hidden within a bamboo forest. It's accessible from a new road added to the open world (North-Western part of the map). [/p][p][/p][p]Both new racing tracks will be available from the open world or through the Challenge Mode and are a new addition to the game’s leaderboards.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
XeSS 2 Support and further game optimization

[p]XeSS 2, an Intel image upscaling technology, has found its way into the game. JDM is now running XeSS 2.1.1.1, including Frame Generation and Low Latency technology. If you’re rocking an AMD or Intel GPU this will become your default setting now. Our internal testing shows a huge gain in performance and we highly recommend you check the differences for yourselves.[/p][p][/p][p]We’ve also added the Multi Frame Generation technology for Nvidia’s DLSS, compatible with RTX 5xxx generation cards. It’s disabled by default, so if you want to check it out, you will need to manually make the change from the game’s Graphics Options menu. [/p][p][/p][p]We’ve also made another performance pass across the entire game, with the Port and Ichikara locations getting the most attention.[/p][p][/p][p]Finally, we’ve cut down on some loading times for the game. You will no longer see any loading screen when launching any of the stores (Tuning Shop, Car Setup) from the Main Menu of the game.[/p]

[p][/p][p]These are only the most important upcoming changes in the Major Patch 1.7.0. You will be able to read up on additional bug fixes, gameplay improvements and adjustments when the full Patch Notes devlog is published at 7:00 pm CET today.[/p][p]
