Thank you to everyone who participated in our Beat the Streamer contest! Over the past two weeks, we've watched the leaderboard light up with some incredible laps, and we're thrilled by the skill and dedication shown by the community. From daring drifts to precision racing lines, you’ve truly showcased the best of what JDM: Japanese Drift Master has to offer.

BGS was a huge success, drawing racing fans to the stand by the numbers. Everyone wanted to try their hand at the JDM simulators. The queue was long but for the less patient players we had additional regular PCs with gamepads ready and available. To boost up the fun from the experience we prepared various quests that had to be completed in order to win prizes. The promotion went viral on the show floor, as we handed out over 5,000 commemorative participant cards and over 10,000 people visited our stand in general.

We also hosted some of the biggest names in the world of drifting at our stand, including

• Sanin Play

Apart from sharing their views on the game, they also took part in a competition. The best drifters from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday had the chance to win a 'Day Drift' with João Barion - earning the chance to learn to drift and drive on a real circuit track.

We’re excited to invite players to showcase their drifting and racing skills in a thrilling challenge where you’ll have the chance to surpass the best lap times set by some of our streaming friends. This competition not only offers an opportunity to prove your prowess on the track but also a chance to earn an early access key to the full version of JDM: Japanese Drift Master!

The following is a summary of the scope of the competition. If you are interested in participating, please read the COMPETITION RULES.

[h2]RULES[/h2]
To be eligible for the competition, you must:

1. take part in the Challenge Mode, accessible from the main menu of JDM: Rise of the Scorpion, on the Steam platform.
   
2. upload a screenshot of your score on the leaderboard to the dedicated Discord channel #beat-the-streamer with the following comment depending on the category:
   

• Drift event - "DRIFT.[STEAM NICK]",
  
• Grip event - "GRIP.[STEAM NICK]".
  

Please remember to link your Steam account to Discord, so we can validate your run.

[h2]Important information:[/h2]

• Each Participant may submit one entry per day for Drift and one for Grip challenges. Only the first submission will be considered if more than one entry is submitted in a single day.
  
• The application will be accepted only if the Participant completes the entire race and crosses the finish line.
  
• The Discord account must be linked to the Steam account and match the leaderboard name.
  
• We will be reaching out to the winners after the submission entries are closed, asking for a full video playthrough of the winning run. The inability to provide a full playthrough of the run will disqualify it. In such a situation we will turn to the next best run and reach out to that person with the same request.
  
• The competition is open to users who have reached the age of majority following the laws of their country of residence and accept the terms of these rules.
  

[h2]PRIZES[/h2]
The top 6 scores (3 from Grip and 3 from Drift categories) will receive:

• Early access key to the full version of JDM: Japanese Drift Master. This is a pre-release access that will be announced by us at a later date.
  
• Unique role on Discord: "Drift Beast" and "Grip Beast".
  

All participants will receive a special Discord role: "JDM Challenger".

Please remember that the winners will be subject to additional verification after the competition ends, so it is necessary to have a video of the completed race!

[h2]DEADLINE[/h2]
The contest runs from October 16th, 2024, at 6 AM PDT to October 30th, 2024, at 3 PM PDT.

Results will be announced on November 6th, 2024, at 6 AM PDT via a Steam devlog update and the JDM Discord server.
