We are announcing another contest! This time we want you to leave your pimped-out cars behind (no worries, just for a moment!) and reach for the… paint cans. According to the word on the street, there’s a wall in Guntama that’s just calling for a striking, colorful mural that will dazzle the eyes of passing drivers.

The following is a summary of the scope of the competition. If you are interested in participating, please read the COMPETITION RULES.



[h3]RULES[/h3]
To be eligible for the competition, you must:

• Create a graphic design of your Mural in 3840x3840 px resolution in PNG format with no background, using an RGBA color palette. It can be texts, pictures, drawings, doodles, or a mix of all of them.
  

The winning designs, will fill out this wall:

• Once ready, please publish your Mural on our Discord server on the Creative-Hub channel. Please add a “🖌️ Mural” tag to your submission.
  

[h3]Important information:[/h3]

• Your Mural must not contain offensive words, symbols, or sexual innuendos, as well as registered trademarks of other brands or famous people. Designs containing elements of third-party assets (i.e. works by other artists or AI) will be removed from the game if valid claims are filed.
• Please limit yourself to one Mural per participant. If you publish more than one, only the first published Mural will be entered into the competition. Do not delete the message with your first Mural if you want to post more. Such action will result in disqualification.
  
• References to JDM are welcome, but not necessary. We want you to get creative! ;)
  
• Please remember that we’re trying to recreate Japan as realistically as possible, so think about what would work, if you’d be doing a piece on the streets of Tokyo.
  

[h3]PRIZES[/h3]
The 5 best entries will be awarded! Your artwork will be permanently placed in the full version of the game JDM: Japanese Drift Master.

[h3]DEADLINE[/h3]
The contest runs from December 4th, 2024, at 7 AM PDT to January 31st, 2025 at 3 PM PDT.

Results will be announced on February 14th, 2025, at 6 AM PDT via a Steam devlog update and the JDM Discord server.

This Friday, November 29th, we’ll reset the leaderboards for the Grip and Drift challenges. But don’t worry, the nicks of those who secured the top spot until then will be immortalized in our Hall of Fame and rewarded with an exclusive Discord Role to showcase their achievement.

The competition doesn’t end there! With the leaderboards refreshed, you’ll have another shot at glory. We’ll announce new champions at the end of every month! So gear up, hit the track, and make your mark!



There’s still time to make a name for yourself - use the remaining days to climb the leaderboard and secure your spot in the Hall of Fame. The title of JDM Champion is within your reach!

Note that vulgar, discriminating, or otherwise inappropriate nicks will ban you from obtaining the title. We will also not tolerate cheating.

Challenge Mode is a single-player mode in the prologue demo JDM: Rise of the Scorpion where you can test various vehicles on closed tracks. To take your shot at the JDM Champions challenge, simply head to Challenge Mode from the main menu and select your preferred race type. Compete for the top spot on the Drift and Grip leaderboards—new champions will be crowned every month on our dedicated Discord channel!

We’re thrilled by your curiosity, and while some answers will have to wait, we promise there’s a lot to look forward to. Q. When will there be a JDM launch?
A. The game is scheduled to be released in Spring 2025.

Q. Will JDM be available for consoles?
A. At the moment our main focus is on the PC version. For the console release information follow our announcements.

Q. Is it possible to leave the car and move on foot across the map?
A. No. It’s a car driving game only. As much as we would want to provide you with an option to walk around Guntama, it would steer our attention away from what’s really important here - drifting in beautiful cars at scenic Japanese vistas.

Q. How can we get a free key to the game?
A. We’re not offering free keys to the game per say, but we occasionally host various contests in which you can win a key. Follow our social media and join our Discord to never miss your chance to win one. Join the fun! ➡️ JDM LINKTREE

Q. Is there a YouTube or Spotify playlist with music in JDM?
A. We have a playlist available on Spotify. It’s not a full JDM OST yet, but we promise to build it up for launch! ➡️ JDM PLAYLIST

Q. Will there be DLC or updates after the release?
A. Yes, the initial release is only the beginning for JDM. Expect content updates after release. We will share more details closer to the game's launch.



Q. Will there be optimization for Steam Deck?
A. Optimization of the game is extremely important to us, we are constantly working to make our game as accessible as possible for everyone. At this point, we can't promise that yet, because we are still in the production phase, but we will certainly let our players know everything before the release.

Q. Will the players be able to modify the drift physics of the cars?
A. Of course! There will be a robust tuning system in place, where you will be able to tune your car to any needs, be it drift, grip, or even drag. Expect more detailed info on the subject next year.

Q. Is JDM: Rise of the Scorpion and JDM demo the same thing?
A. Yes they are. JDM: Rise of the Scorpion launched as a separate store product, but has been moved since to the main JDM: Japanese Drift Master store page as a demo to avoid player confusion.

Q. Is there a list of steering wheels supported by the game?
A. Not at this time. However, we’ve seen and taken to heart all of your feedback and hardware requests from the JDM: Rise of the Scorpion. We are working on the new binding system and we’re continually adding new devices to the game. We want as many devices as humanly possible to work for the launch of JDM.

Q. Will there be a possibility to set a point wherever you want on the map (to guide you to the place)?
A. Yes, you will be able to mark a spot through an in-game GPS system that will find you the route to your destination, making it easier for you to navigate our open world.

Q. Maybe it's confidential, but will the map be fully explorable, or will you have to unlock the regions one by one?
A. The map will be fully explorable from the beginning. The moment you hit play, you will be able to drive to any of our beautiful landmarks and soak in the Japanese road atmosphere. Note that story events will unlock with your progression and will need to be completed before the next unlocks and becomes visible on your map.
