It's been a while since we released the Japanese Drift Master demo and Halloween update.
In response to your feedback, we came back today with a new update and livestreaming! We hope you enjoy the new features and honor us with your presence during today's stream.



[h2]Device support[/h2]
Now you can take full control of your steering wheel and not worry about compatibility, as we are introducing support for all popular steering wheels today. Controller lovers can use a variety of pads, including Xbox and PlayStation, and fans of classic keyboard gameplay can enjoy the game on any model!

[h2]Key mapping[/h2]
More than one avid gamer will be pleased with this option. Well-configured and properly assigned button functions are the key to satisfying drifting, and now you can customize them to suit your driving style! Your rules, your drift!


[h2]Optimisation[/h2]
We have received countless messages from you asking us to improve the optimization of the game, so this day has come. We've managed to improve the performance of JDM to some extent, but remember that this is a demo version and we're constantly working to give you the best possible experience.

The settings allow you to choose from low, medium, high and ultra presets to adjust your gameplay. If the game is not running properly, we recommend lowering the graphics settings. We hope that this update will greatly enhance your driving experience and enjoyment and that nothing will stand in your way of becoming a true Japanese drift master!

The calendar already shows December, and we are addressing the negative winter atmosphere. We invite you to join us in the excitement of drifting! [h2]What is DriftXmas Fest?[/h2]
DriftXmas Fest is our little event that allows us to get into the holiday spirit together with you, of course with a touch of crazy drifting. We are preparing interesting, thematic posts to brighten up these cold days for you. Various games, puzzles, surprises, and prizes await you, so we encourage active participation on our social media. Keep a close eye on us on Facebook, Twitter, Discord, and Instagram because exciting things will happen. We hope that DriftXmas Fest will become our tradition, and we will continue it every year.

One of the first gifts will be a game update, which will be released on December 7th! It will significantly impact your gaming experience and improve gameplay comfort. It's autumn outside and that means one thing - Halloween is coming! Although the actual holiday falls on the 31st of October, we've been getting into the spirit on Steam since the 26th. From today, you'll also be able to find some spooky elements in Japanese Drift Master. Get ready for skeletons, pumpkins and a dark atmosphere.

It's over... Of course, we're only talking about the Steam Next Fest, because our Japanese Drift Master Demo will be available until the end of January 2024! It's time for a little recap of an intense festival week. We would like to thank you, our wonderful JDM community because without you we couldn't have done it all - you are amazing!


[h2]Steam Next Fest[/h2]
Here are some of the statistics and brilliant numbers we managed to achieve together during the festival.

[h3]Daily active players in demos: Top 1[/h3]
Popular upcoming games: Top 2

We started the race with 12,568 followers on our Steam and finished with above 22 000! In the Top Wishlist category, we started from position 157, but managed to finish in 69! We also reached the Top Peak, which counted as many as 2 105 people playing JDM at the same time. According to the list of demo games most frequently added to the wishlist, we jumped from 12th place to 5th place! Did we mention that we have an amazing community?


[h2]We're not slowing down[/h2]
We are planning to release a new patch soon. As we mentioned in the last devlog, we are focusing on optimizing the game, fixing translation errors, extending the list of supported steering wheels, key mapping and fixing minor bugs. And we are also preparing a music surprise.

Today we have released the first update for the Japanese Drift Master demo! We've managed to fix some of the important issues, which you can read about below. We hope this will help you enjoy the game even more!


[h2]Updates[/h2]

• The pop-up VR window will no longer bother you,
  
• We have added a Fatal Error description below the system requirements, due to optimisation DirectX 11 is no longer supported,
  
• We have added a notification for devices below the minimum requirements that there may be performance issues,
  
• We have fixed a few spots with collisions sent to us by players on Discord,
  
• We have added a petrol station created by the winner of our "Let's Refuel" competition, Utku Gürbüz.
  

In addition to the updates that have been made, we are constantly working on the optimization of the game and support for steering wheels.
