General
  • Quest 3 Graphics Update! Improved resolution, texture filtering, render distance, detail distance, and real-time shadows.

  • Vive Wand Controller support added.


Starting Island Improvements:
  • Starting Island Keep gates are now open, and players no longer have to climb down. Quests have been updated to match this change.
  • New early-level cloth, leather, and plate gear added.
  • Updated starting island terrain with a new path for easier ascent if a player falls off the bridge.
  • Starting Island waterfalls no longer sound like the gates of hell
Questing
  • Quests: Fixed typos for ‘Entrance Test’, ‘Animal Analysis,’ ‘Care Package,’ ‘Raiding the Ruins,’ ‘Scout Hunting,’ ‘Turn up the Heat’



Additionally, we've laid out our initial road map for the coming months for players to get an idea of what to expect! After reviewing the feedback from our community, our focus is smoothing out current content (Looking at you, Melee combat, character controller, AI, and Servers!) and then shifting into brand new content in the new year!

General
  • Player viewpoint is no longer above your avatar’s head.
  • Remote players should no longer look like they are hunched over or have their hands over their heads.
  • Remote player hands are now rotated correctly.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing mobs in the Eurus region to spawn under the snow.
  • Merchant Amaya has had her shoes of magical levitation taken away and is no longer floating above the ground.


Questing
  • Quest: Misbehaving herbs for 'The Cursed Well' quest should now be harvestable from the Graveyard grounds.
  • Quest 'Stalling Tactics' fixed incorrect mob spawning
  • Quest 'Act of Mercy' fixed incorrect mob spawning
  • Quest 'Travel to Ironhold' waypoint fixed
  • Quests: Typos in 'The Quartermaster's Quest', 'Boarish Behavior', 'Return To Sender' and 'Misplaced Medicine' fixed.




This patch is lighter than usual as the team is now heads down on the larger multi-week work items we discussed in our Tavern Talk Ep.3, including the refactor for Melee Combat, the new Character Controller and updated graphics for Quest 3. We're still a few weeks out from those, but they're in progress!

General

  • Short press on right controller ‘A’ button should now shortcut to open player backpack.
  • Long press on right controller ‘A’ button should now shortcut to open your backpack and wardrobe.
  • Fixed bug with currency that was allowing players to acquire negative coin amounts.
  • Adjusted ratling spawners near Tambria to prevent them from spawning in the ground.


Combat

  • Finally untangled an issue that was preventing mobs from reacting visually to taking damage.
  • Fixed bug where some mobs were playing incorrect animations when moving.
  • The Trogre, Yeti, and Bal’Ramos have had their reaction time and movement adjusted.


Questing

  • Fixed a bug that was causing all quest NPCs to display a quest summary instead their full dialog when offering quests.
  • Fixed quest “Travel to Portus” which prevented several of its quest chains from working correctly.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing several Dominion quests not to be available.
  • Fixed quest “Return to Sender” where the quest description did not indicate where to collect Ceremonial Armor Pieces. The Waydar marker has been updated.
  • Fixed issue where NPC Minius was standing too close to the map board, preventing players from reading dialogue.

  • Fixed a bug that was breaking character skin textures on Quest 3.
  • Applied performance optimizations to reduce texture issues on Quest.
  • Fixed a issue where smooth turning was too slow. Smooth Turn speed increased.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing helmets and hats to clip into players' heads and obstruct the view.
  • Fixed bug where certain items were causing slow movement speed for players.
  • The Ilysia Department of Fish and Wildlife has distributed the correct fish to rivers, lakes, and ponds.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing players to be set to 6 HP when interacting with Imperial tutorial island gravestones.
  • Fixed Ring of Friendship item name.
  • Currency/Vendor update: Fixed a bug that now correctly lets merchants buy items from players.

Questing
  • Fixed quest “The Cursed Well” where herbs were not dropping from skeleton warriors.
  • Fixed quest “The Tomb” where players could not pick up the ritual items and complete the quest.
  • Fixed quest “Something Fishy” where mythical blue anglerfish were not dropping.
  • Fixed quest “The Thing About Igara and Mines” where players were unable to complete quest.
  • Fixed quest “Finding Boreas” where quest dialogue and Waydar took players to the wrong location.
  • Fixed quest “Travel to Fort Ironhold” where the Waydar and quest objective were in the wrong location.


Combat
  • Fixed a bug where Warden serrated arrow was not working. Skill will now activate properly.
  • Fixed a bug where Warden Fire Arrow was not applying DoT
  • Crab type mobs have had their hitbox adjusted
  • Wolf type mobs have had their hitbox adjusted
  • Boar type mobs have had their hitbox adjusted

  • Fixed a bug causing Quest users to crash when loading into the world and showing a blue/green skybox.
  • Added Smooth Turning to comfort options.
  • Consolidated low population servers into highest population servers to condense players for more group play.
  • Fixed a bug that caused users to crash when pressing Refresh Voice setting option in their Codex.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented users from hearing one another when in parties.
  • Added a current news page on Ilysia main menu/login screen.
  • Added race descriptions to character creation menu.

  • Fixed quest “Procuring Potions” where the quest marker was not showing for the correct location.
  • Fixed quest “Something Fishy” and Blue Angler fish are now dropping correctly for the Dominion faction.
  • Fixed quest “Into the Darkness” and marker now takes players to Azabetha NPC.
  • Fixed quest “The Four Seals” and now has players collecting the right amount of seals.
  • Fixed quest “Bumming it Out” Pilferpaws now correctly count towards quest objective.
  • Fixed quest “Travel to Weskellet” and will now be marked as complete when arriving to the town.
  • Fixed quest “Return to Sender” and quest chain now directs you back to Iginus upon completion.
  • Fixed quest “Over and Out” and Extra marker has been removed.
  • Fixed quest “Set Sail/Departure” And quest prompts the right quest chain to get on the boat.
  • Fixed quest “Barefoot In The Night” and boots are not obtainable to complete quest.
  • Fixed quest “Sam Is Waiting For You” where quest name was showing incorrectly.
  • Fixed quest "Running into Raiders" where Attalos was not offering the quest to players correctly.


Combat
  • Fixed a bug where Warden Charge Shot was adding an additional buff and applying an unrelated visual effect.
  • Fixed a bug where Warden pets despawned any time a spell was cast.
  • Fixed an issue where players were receiving damage outside of Bal’Ramos cave.
  • Fixed various mob spawners that were causing mobs to spawn or get stuck inside walls.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Elite mobs in Bal'Ramos from dropping dungeon set boots.
