Patch 1.02.00 Preview

Hello adventurers,

Patch 1.02.00 will bring several additions and refinements to the game, including all outstanding issues reported on the official forums (HERE)

Patch 1.02.00 is due for release next week. For now ... a sneak peek!

[h3]Stability:[/h3]
1) The elevator may descend beyond the stopping point, rapidly fall, or cause the player to bounce in the air and out of bounds.
  • Unexpected objects can change the calculations that govern the speed and travel distance of the elevator. In particular, the location of the player's virtual hands was a major contributor to many of the reported problems. The elevator now comes to a stop if it detects any abnormal behavior and will gracefully resume normal operations once the player has adjusted their position.

[h3]Visual changes:[/h3]
2) Minor adjustments were made to lighting throughout the game.
3) A new effect was added to the camera in The Restored City.


[h3]Gameplay: [/h3]
4) Some players may be unable to release a ladder by returning it to its drop zone.
  • This issue was triggered by climbing too quickly or attempting to move the ladder while climbing. A check was added to the code that prevents this behavior. It seems so obvious in hindsight.

5) Indicators were added to assist players seeking out important items.

[h3]Puzzles:[/h3]
6) The addition of new indicators should reduce the difficulty of midgame puzzles. These indicators are visually subtle. All new indicators can be found following 'The Restored City'.
