Demo Update 0.6.8

A new patch has landed! The team is focused on the world beyond the demo, but we still want to bring new bug fixes and improvements!

  • Added a new tutorial quest
  • Improved several quests
  • Improved map input
  • Improved tooltip texture

[h3]Fixes:[/h3]
  • Fixed several quest-related softlocks
  • Fixed third person movement not acting correctly when no weapon is equipped
  • Fixed certain non-hostile throwing potions not affecting self

[h3]Balance[/h3]
  • Health potions healing slightly decreased and regeneration over time reduced to 5 seconds from 6 seconds.
  • Mana potions increased greatly and regeneration over time reduced to 3 seconds from 6 seconds
  • Stamina potions greatly increased and regeneration over time reduced to 3 seconds from 6 seconds.
  • Slowfall duration greatly decreased.

Patch 0.6.7.3 (Hotfix)

Here is another hotfix, including a handful of major fixes, plus a lot of quest fixes and improvements!

Patch 0.6.7.2 (Hotfix)

Here is the hotfix changelog for the most major issues we found from yesterday's big update, plus some minor fixes as well. The biggest and most important fix relates to npc's sometimes getting into a broken state, not interacting. This patch should fix those save files.

Patch 0.6.7: Demo Release!

Before we go into the patch notes, we just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who tested our softlaunched demo! We got SO much amazing feedback, and tried to apply the most common feedback into the upcoming patch. It’s been a blast interacting with the community, and we very much looking forward to growing it further!

This patch will require new saves due to all of the changes to quests.

  • Better Melee Animations: Now your weapon won't repeat the same swing animation over and over again
  • Input Remapping: You can now remap inputs to whatever keys you desire
  • Steam Achievements: We added a handful of steam achievements! Try to unlock them all :)
  • New Quests: Two new quests, Amphibious Ambassador and Frogs of War

Ardenfall Demo Patch 0.6.6 Changelog

The third patch for Ardenfall's softlaunched demo has arrived! This comes with a handful of small features, and a ton of improvements and fixes.

Features:
  • Added “Custom Map Marker” system
  • Made arrows / throwing knives re-lootable from corpse
  • Added simple clock to quest menu

  • Made “Q” open the Quest Journal, instead of the Map
  • Optimized distance terrain not stripping higher level LODs
