Warrior Amazons

Ibrahim ibn Jacob lived in early medieval Europe and was a traveller, merchant and chronicler, in addition to being involved in the slave trade. He is believed to have been involved in espionage for the Moors. It is thanks to him that we have information that Amazons lived in the area of Pomerania, between Kolobrzeg and Gdansk. Some have accused Ibrahim of taking these Amazons from literary tradition. Nevertheless, he claimed to have heard about them from Otto I! Over the centuries, scholars have approached this subject differently. Textbooks omit the account of the City of Women, and there is no corresponding source confirming the details of Ibrahim's account, but it is worth knowing about the existence of this story, especially in the light of recent research on warrior women in Europe.



In the game we will have the opportunity to meet these Amazons. Whether or not they were real is unknown. However, the vision was so intriguing that we decided to create our own story based on this legend.
