  • Fixed an issue where after saving your gameplay, the game could not detect the save files in the Documents folder
  • Implemented a new setting in the Options under the Graphics tab called 'Precise GPU Shadows'. The setting enabled can improve the shadows in the game
    • Developer comment: When disabled, this setting can tremendously improve the general experience for players who ran into frequent crashes in Knight's Tale, especially those who have an AMD Radeon card

  • Fixed various graphics-related crash issues
  • Fixed a crash issue which occurred if one pressed the Quickload hotkey several times within a short period of time
  • Fixed a crash which rarely occurred when one bought stackable items at the Merchant
  • Fixed a crash related to the Gambler Hero trait
  • Fixed a crash issue which occurred upon game launch
  • Fixed a crash issue related to the Fisher King fight
  • Fixed a crash issue which occurred during certain cutscenes
  • Opening the Journal with the controller sometimes crashed the game. This has been fixed
  • Sacrificing items sometimes caused a crash. This has been fixed
  • Fixed a crash issue which could occur when one loaded their save files for the Red Knight mission
  • Leveling a Hero from other resources than mission XP rewards sometimes crashed the game. This has been fixed
  • A crash could occur sometimes if the selected Hero died in battle. This issue is fixed now

  • Overwatch can be cancelled now in the same turn if one clicks on the button again and the Hero receives back all their spent Aps (Action Point)
  • Added a Quicksave/Quickload option
  • Added an End Turn hotkey (Ctrl+Enter)
  • Now players can disable Film Grain in the Settings
  • Added an Audio Driver selection option in the Settings
  • Now players can deselect a selected skill by clicking once again on the selected skill (deselection still works with ESC as well)
  • Video subtitles are now enabled by default
  • Added a rebind option to Camera rotation
  • Closing the Save window will automatically close the ESC menu too
  • Updated the description of Armour Breaking in the Game mechanics to be more comprehensible
  • Added a short description to Taunt skills that they do not work if the enemy has at least 50% Mental Resistance

  • Fixed the AvaLAN Party PvP achievement which did not unlock properly
  • Fixed a few memory-related issues
  • Fixed the following challenges: Camper, Marksman, Pyromaniac, Carnage Master, Poison Master
  • Fixed the Strong trait
  • Fixed the Healthful trait
  • Fixed Sir Kay's Stubborn trait which procced even if his Vitality was full
  • Fixed the trait-removal Tome which did not work properly
  • Fixed an issue in the Wild Hunt mission where the quest giver NPC could die before you learned about the quest
  • Sometimes, after managing our item in the inventory, some stats were not displayed properly
  • Fixed the Tradesman trait which did not display its effect when one placed Sir Bors into the Merchant
  • Fixed an issue that in certain encounters where enemy units expected reinforcements, the reinforcement group sometimes could not join the fight
  • Fixed an encounter in the Forbidden Keep mission where sometimes not all Heroes were placed into the area of the battle
  • Fixed the Poison Cone skill's effect
  • Removed the difficulty level options from Roguelite as it was accidentally available in this mode
  • Fixed various Endgame missions which could not be finished even if you finished all objectives
  • Sometimes after loading a save file, critters did not move at all. This has been fixed
  • Fixed various voiceovers (including the female voice of the Merchant in Old Monastery which was supposed to be a male voice)
  • Fixed the Tradesman trait which did not display its benefit if we put Sir Bors into the Merchant
  • Fixed an issue where the Minimap could turn completely white if one selected another localization in mission
  • Corrected the description of the Travelling Merchant event to be more comprehensible
  • Skills (like the Unyielding skill of Mordred) which grant HP when hitting or killing enemy units will now work against Lost enemies and objects as well
  • Fixed an issue where players could get the same loot in the first few missions. Now the loot is more randomized
  • The Accept button did not work when one tried to save their progress with a controller. This has been fixed
  • Fixed several typos

  • Fixed Sir Tewelyn's missing unique reactions
  • Fixed an issue where doors and gates didn't have opening sounds
  • Fixed various enemy unit's missing voices
  • Balanced the volume of the footsteps on surfaces
  • Balanced various interface sounds
  • Fixed various cutscenes' sounds

it's been a while since we quite literally kickstarted our journey together back in October 2020. Knight's Tale is finally out, and we're just getting started!

Thanks for all your amazing feedback on Day 1! There's a few things for us to look into now, such as crash issues and a few bugs here and there, but we'd like to assure you all that we're aware of these issues and fixes are in the works. You can expect a hotfix for the most pressing bugs ASAP.

Until then, Avalon and the Round Table are in your hands! We're also going live at 4 PM CEST (in less than 30 minutes) on our Twitch channel for an exciting release stream. Feel free to join the Neocore Round Table, watch us play (and hopefully not lose too many Heroes) - as always, we will be taking questions from chat during the entire stream.

Thanks to our Early Access players who joined us when we took our first steps in Avalon and sent us invaluable feedback during these months to help making Knight's Tale better. Thanks to the Beta testers who provided input on the fights you're yet to fight.   • All 4 Acts of the Campaign are now available
  • Added several new side-story missions with recruitable Heroes
  • 33 Heroes in total waiting for your call into battle
  • Added 20 Endgame missions as well as unique bossfights available after the conclusion of the story campaign
  • New enemy factions:
    • Picts
    • Seelie
    • Unseelie
    • Fomorians
  • A completed, fully unlockable Morality chart
  • A completed, fully unlockable Adventure map with several POIs (Points of Interest)
  • Added a new CGI cinematic to the end of every Act
  • Added Localizations for the following languages:
  • French, German, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Simpl. Chinese, Polish as well as Hungarian
  • Numerous Challenges have been added:
  • Complete challenges to acquire unique, powerful Essences which grant permanent effects to your Heroes
  • Numerous new Events, many of which granting Morality points, have been added
  • Hundreds of new common, uncommon, relic and special items
  • Steam Achievements (50+) unlocked
  • Numerous new soundtracks while many of the Early Access tracks reworked

  • Revised and rebalanced all missions, enemy units and skills of Act1
  • Revised and rebalanced all the traits of the Heroes of Act1
  • Added an English subtitle to the cinematic intro
  • New Consumables (Tomes) with special effects (like "Resets a chosen Hero's skill points" etc.) have been added
  • Events appearing above locations will be available for 3 missions' worth of time. If you don't take any action until then, they will vanish. The remaining turns will be displayed on the event window
  • Heavy injuries received a separate icon to be distinguishable from light injuries
  • If a Hero is sent away in an event while holding a building title in Camelot, they get removed now from the position
  • Traits giving bonuses when a Hero holds a building title were dyed gold to be distinguishable from other type of traits
  • The Heroes' building titles will be displayed in the pop-ups of the Hero portraits on the Adventure Map
  • Added a field of view to the map and the minimap as well which points toward the direction of the camera
  • Revamped the objectives list
  • You can unlock any of the Heroes now on the Morality chart which will spawn a new side-story mission in which the Hero can be recruited
  • Numerous GUI-related improvements
  • Some Heroes received new Preset items
  • Added a Visibility Distance option under the Graphics settings
  • Added a Shader Quality option under the Graphic settings
  • Updated the Tutorials section


[h3]Fixed bugs[/h3]

  • Fixed various crash issues
  • Considerably improved the general performance across all maps
  • Fixed an issue where Loyalty points were not calculated properly
  • Fixed an issue in the Fire with Fire mission where an encounter didn't trigger if we approached the location from a certain position
  • Fixed the Basic Physical Training upgrade which provided only 1 HP instead of 2
  • Fixed various typos and descriptions
  • Fixed an assert in relation with the Scholar trait
  • Fixed a string under the Game Mechanics tab in the Journal
  • Not every trait had their own tooltips. This has been fixed
  • Fixed various skills' missing sound effects
