Flexin' that Rank!

As you play through Iron Meat and build your score, you'll increase your Rank and unlock new Skins!

Note: The results screens show in this post are those seen in the demo currently available. The appearance of the results screen may change in the final game!

On the results screen, you'll find the time it took for you to complete the level, how many enemies you eliminated, how many lives you lost, and the total score you earned. If you played through the game without getting a Game Over, this score will show the total you've accrued across all the levels up until that current point.

You can even earn XP when playing local co-op! That's right! If two players earn separate scores together, their combined score will be converted into XP! So, grab a sibling, grab a friend, or grab somebody in your line of sight and play through Iron Meat's demo!

A Little Bit of This & That!

You’ll be able to earn a host of different Skins in Iron Meat–you can even unlock a handful now in the demo! But we wanted to take a step further and allow players to fully customize their in-game appearance by mixing and matching different parts of the player-character!

When selecting your player-character, the four outer arrows on the left and right will change individual parts, while the two inner arrows will change up the whole Skin to the next one available!

You can swap out the chest, either arm, legs, and the head of your character to any other available Skin you’ve unlocked! Not in the mood to play as Vadim? That’s OK! Change it up with having Franklin legs, a Poochie left arm, an ECIF Soldier right arm, a Power Armor chest, and…well…a Vadim head!

There are so many Skin combinations you’ll be able to come up with as you earn more Skins! Here’s just a few permutations we messed around with ourselves in the demo!
1. Franklin the Armored Fighter!
He came from another dimension to help out against The Meat. Don’t ask questions; just be thankful he’s on our side!
2. They Call Him…The Hunter!
He doesn’t appreciate questions about his tail. Consider him as more of a lone bounty hunter who joined up with the Earth Counter Invasion Force for the money! Give ‘em a gun, and he’ll get the job done!
3. Extra THICCC!
THIIIIICCCCC!!!

Skins, Skins, SKINS!

Skins provide cool-looking, alternate appearances to the player-character, which can make them feel more personal and unique! A lot of them are very in-universe in their design, while others leave for more...humorous possibilities! With Skins, you can choose how YOU want to express your style as you battle against The Meat!

Who says you can't save the Earth while being stylish?!
1. Vadim - The Man, The Soon-To-Be Myth, and The Certified Legend
As the greatest living soldier on Earth, Vadim is equipped with rare blue armor ionized and constructed from stronger materials than standard armor plating found on the common soldiers of the Earth Counter Invasion Force.
2. ECIF Soldier - Don't quote us on this. It may not be final!
Equipped with the standardized green armor plating, these soldiers of the ECIF are specially trained to resist invasions from extraterrestrial adversaries. But nothing sets the bar any higher than the arrival of the ravenous Meat!
3. Power Armor - That fancy armor will digest slower than your flesh.
Special Operations Units are equipped with signature silver finishes in their armor and receive unique helmets to suit their missions. Additional cosmetic upgrades come at the right price, soldier.
4. Franklin - The Meat will not make an exception for reptiles.
One of the irregular additions to the Earth Counter Invasion Force after a mishap within portal prototype, Franklin is dedicated to the cause knowing The Meat will stop at nothing to assimilate anything and everything. Does not breathe fire, sadly, but he can sure dish it out!
5. Poochie the Rockin' Dog - What the dog doin'?
As another irregular ally joining the Earth Counter Invasion Force, Poochie happened upon this version of Earth after arriving from a malfunctioning portal somewhere on the other side of the world. He now devotes his life to exterminating the extraterrestrial trespassers. Don't ask him to do any tricks, though.

These are just a few of the Skins players can look forward to earning in the full game! Stay tuned for more as we continue on with development!

Tell Me the Meaty Details!

When Yuri Markov began secretly experimenting with interdimensional portal research, he came across a strange mound of sentient flesh that he dubbed as, "The Meat." Returning to his lab on the Moon, the scientist studied the extra-dimensional entity, until it forced its way out of confinement. The Meat melded itself onto Yuri's body and they became one being--albeit retaining the appearance of the scientist.

Though Earth forces on the Moon attempted to stop the now Meat-infected Yuri Markov, he killed and infected all of them using his newfound telekinetic powers. Now in possession of Yuri's body, The Meat was able to understand human life and how to consume it. It then gathered its newly formed Meat army--composed of infected soldiers and scientists of the Lunar Base, and evolved, monstrous forms of The Meat--to launch an attack on Earth.

As the rest of the Lunar Base becomes consumed and infected by the original Meat hivemind, Yuri Markov, now under the influence of the specimen he once studied, begins his attack on Earth at the very city where he once studied at the Ministry of Teleportation. Now, the portal at the Ministry building became a staging ground where Yuri's Meat army swarmed out of, spreading like wildfire across the city and into the surrounding regions.

The evolved Meat forms found new hosts in inanimate objects, ranging from cars, trucks, and trains, to buildings, walls, and even tanks! To combat the threat of Yuri Markov and The Meat, the Earth Counter Invasion Force (ECIF) dispatched Vadim--the greatest living soldier on Earth--to stop the spread of the all-consuming flesh plague.

As an experienced fighter of past wars and military operations, Vadim joined other human soldiers--both recruits and seasoned veterans--to battle The Meat and prevent its spread across the globe.

Shortly after he received his briefing on the invasion, Vadim received a distress call from Sasha--a Lunar Base survivor and soldier still fighting against the original Meat entity on the Moon. Sasha informed Vadim of The Meat threat and gave him instructions on reaching the Lunar Base to destroy the Meat hivemind.

Taking up arms with a standard-issue energy rifle, Vadim joined other soldiers of the ECIF and proceeded to his first operation in the Forest sector...

Find Your Perfect Pair of Interdimensional Meat-Destroying Weapons!

We're back with another round of wishful weapon matchmaking! Which of these pairs do you think reigns supreme this time around?
1. (H) Heavy Capsule Launcher + (B) Plasma Arc Blaster
Combining heavy firepower with a rapid fire gun seems like a good balance between bringing the beatdown against bosses and clearing hordes of The Meat! One downside, however, is that if you get hit while using either gun, you'll be stuck with either a slow-firing weapon or one that isn't as potent against bosses!
2. (M) Energy Machine Gun + (U) Ultra-Burst Laser Gun
For those who like being precise with their aiming, this pair might just suit your battlefield tastes! The Energy Machine Gun already provides a steady, straight shot, but its upgraded form allows for even more damage, plus a second row of extra firepower! Combine this with the Ultra-Burst Laser Gun, and all you'll have to do is line your character up to annihilate those weak points on bosses, or clear pesky level obstacles!
3. (S) Shotgun Spreader + (S) Shotgun Spreader
No, there isn't a typo! Yes, you can choose to wield two of the same gun! Both are also able to be fully upgraded with green plasma rounds as usual, too! Now, for this combo, we wanted to pay homage to those of you who just enjoy a good ol' apocalypse armed with nothing more than a trusty SHOTGUN. Double the shotties, double the fun. Just...don't get TOO crazy out there!

Or maybe that's the intent?
