Like a Dragon Gaiden and Wild Hearts lead Xbox Game Pass for November 2023

Xbox has announced the first batch of Game Pass games for November, and as usual, there's plenty on offer for everyone.

But before we even hit November, Game Pass is adding in three new titles today. First up is Headbangers: Rhythm Royale, a rhythm game battle royale all about pigeons, Jusant, a climbing adventure that plays wonderfully, and Wartales, an open world RPG "in which you lead a group of mercenaries in their search for wealth across a massive mediaeval universe," all of which is coming to console, cloud, and PC. November itself is quite a stacked month too! From pretty much right off the bat on November 2 comes Thirsty Suitors, a "stylish, story-driven adventure that unfolds through turn-based battles, skateboarding, and cooking," on cloud, console, and PC.

Then, a few days later on November 6, Football Manager 2024 (both the console and PC versions) will join the subscription service, letting you live out all of your football managerial dreams once again. After that, there's Dungeons 4 on November 9, which lets you "build a cozy and comfortable Dungeon to suit your creatures’ needs and rule over them, then send them out into the Overworld to kindly remind the good people living there that the Absolute Evil rules over their lands."
Dateable popularity contest
It's time to settle this once and for all. Just who is the most popular dateable character in Coral Island?! We'll make new character wallpaper art (mobile and desktop) featuring the NPC that wins. Here's an example of a character wallpaper art featuring Semeru:

[We love sharks...but Semeru is best shark.]

Every day starting tomorrow, we'll feature one dateable character on our socials. To vote for a character, all you have to do is like the post featuring that character (1 point) or share it (1 point). You can do both for 2 points. For those of you who can't decide, fret not, you can vote on more than one character!

On December 3, 2023, we'll total all the points and announce the most popular character. The character wallpaper art should be ready before the end of the year.

Coral Island 1.0 FAQ

1.0 Launch date

Coral Island will launch into Version 1.0 on November 14, 2023!

1.0 Launch Platforms

At 1.0, Coral Island will be available on Steam/Win10, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

Coral Island is targeting a 2024 launch for Nintendo Switch. We need more time to ensure the playing experience is as best as possible. If you would like to play v1.0 at launch, we can facilitate a change from a Switch key to a Steam key. Key changes between consoles are not feasible. Any changes need to be confirmed by November 1st. Please send an email titled “Request to exchange to a Steam key” to [email protected] so we can assist you with this change.

1.0 Price Adjustment

The suggested retail price of Coral Island will increase to $29.99 USD upon the release of v1.0 to reflect the breadth of content the game will offer.

Early Access Save Reset

Version 1.0 of Coral Island is a significantly different game from what it was at the start of Early Access a year ago, and we’ve made fundamental changes to the content, features, and so much more as a result of Early Access players’ feedback. Because of the scope of these changes, save games created during Early Access will not be compatible with v1.0 of Coral Island.

When you move on to v1.0, players will retain all of the gold you earned during Early Access, which will carry over into the new "New Game Plus” mode (see below). Any cosmetic charity DLC packs you purchased will be able to be reclaimed in Version 1.0, too. Once v1.0 arrives, save games will be compatible with all future updates going forward.

Please note, if a new game is started in v1.0 that overwrites the old save, players will be unable to import gold. Gold will only be imported when reloading the old save and resetting the save.

We appreciate all of the hard work and effort you’ve put into shaping Coral Island—both in building your own in-game islands, and helping us bring v1.0 of the game to life—and we hope you’ll enjoy embarking on a new journey, and experiencing Coral Island in a new way, with the official launch.

Early Access Testing Branch

For Steam players who’d like to check in on the farms they created during Early Access, a pre-v1.0 test branch of the game in its final Early Access state will be available on Steam until February 1, 2024. To access it, follow these steps:

 1. Right-click Coral Island in the left menu of your Steam Library, then select “Properties” from the contextual menu.
 2. In the new window that appears, click the “Betas” menu, enter the password “EarlyAccessTesting” in the field under “Private Betas”, and click “Check code”.
 3. If entered properly, you will now be able to select “Coral Island - Early Access Testing branch” from the drop-down menu above, next to “Beta Participation”. Doing so will install the Early Access Testing version and replace the main version of Coral Island.

There, you’ll be able to continue playing your Early Access farms until February 1, though please note that we won’t be updating this version of the game, and that you will have to select the main version of Coral Island from this same menu to play the v1.0 and up.

Warning: If a new save is created in v1.0 that overwrites the old save, that save can no longer be played on the Early Access Testing branch.

New Game Plus

By continuing with your Early Access save, you will initiate "New Game Plus." This means your character will start anew from the beginning of the game, with everything except your gold resetting.

1.0 Language Support

Coral Island will support the following languages in its 1.0 version:

 • English
 • Bahasa Indonesia
 • Simplified Chinese
 • German
 • Spanish
 • French
 • Japanese
 • Korean (New!)
 • Brazilian Portuguese (New!)

2024 Roadmap

Take a look at the exciting content we have planned for 2024. Coral Island is only going to get better from 1.0 onwards!

Kickstarter Rewards

All Kickstarter rewards, except for the "Character Designer Pack" and “Digital Artbook” will be distributed to Steam users no later than the 1.0 update. Keep an eye out for further details!

KS Console Backers

Key Codes for Kickstarter Console Backers for PS5 and Xbox X and S will be delivered together with the 1.0 launch on November 14th, 2023 via Backerkit. There will be an email from backerkit where you can claim your Console Game code. Please follow the instructions below to redeem:
Thank you
We want to send a big thank you to our awesome backers and the amazing community that's been with us for the past four years of Coral Island's development. Your support, feedback, and all-around enthusiasm have been instrumental in making Coral Island as good as it can be. A special shout-out to the beta testers who've been instrumental in finding bugs and submitting feedback; you've really helped shape the game. You all rock!
