Version 1.6.9.3: Action bar weapon load icon and bug fixes!

Good evening bilge rats.

We've got a small update for you tonight with mainly some bug fixes but also something new. You can now see if your weapons are loaded or not indicated by a green or red icon in your action bar. This should help you reduce the number of times you switch to a weapon, only to awkwardly find out it's empty.

Patch notes:
UI improvements:
• Actionbar now indicates if a weapon is loaded or not (main weapon and side arm)
 • Killcard ship / team name visualization made a bit more clear with a small ship icon and now aligned to the right
Bug fixes:
• Fixed a bug that caused weapons to appear offsetted in first person while jumping
 • Fixed a bug that caused all melee weapons to ignore sprint block when attacking (only the fuse lighter doesn't block sprint while attacking now as intended)
 • Fixed material of Blackbeard beard (the fuses now produce smoke as intended)
 • Fixed fancy wig material (was completely broken)
 • Fixed a bug that caused pirate god title not to be selectable when enabling / disabling curse
 • Auto reverting back to male when disabling the curse while using golden skeleton now works as intended (also auto equips brown shorts now)
 • Fixed an error spam in ship code

The Lord of the Sails: The Return of the Roadmap

Ahoy! It’s high time for another Roadmap Update!

As mentioned in previous announcements, we’ve decided to postpone our full launch. And this, well... because we ain't done yet! There’s still a reasonable amount of stuff to add, explore and polish until we can confidently call our game “done”.

Many of you have been asking about future plans and what we intend to add in the next coming months. Of course, we reflected on this and now feel comfortable to unveil the next steps.

As some of you might remember, we’ve asked you all to fill out a feedback form so that we may get a better understanding of what you pirates think about the current state of the game, what your desires are, etc… We have learned a lot from that! We would like to thank everyone that took the time to give us this valuable feedback!

A lot of you would definitely recommend Blazing Sails in its current state and think we’ve improved the game a lot during Early Access. But generally we do see a need for more polish and more features. Mainly 2 things caught our attention. Many of you would love to see more ship options and more game modes!

We’ll do our very best to fulfill these needs and implement this feedback in the coming updates. This was also the main thing we kept in mind while brainstorming about our Roadmap.

That being said, game development is a costly affair. We needed to find some creative solutions so that we’re able to bridge these extra few months of development time. Therefore we’ll also be adding quite a lot of new awesome DLC cosmetics in the coming time. We’ve got some sweet ideas and are excited to work on these epic and sometimes wacky pirate costumes! Buying DLC is a great way to support our development during Early Access and really helps us to continue working on the features that add a lot of value to the overall game.

Hope you are excited for what we’ve got planned! In the end we want Blazing Sails to be in the best possible state upon full launch so that you and your friends may keep enjoying epic pirate PvP battles for a long time!
Without further ado, our Roadmap:
Check out the high-res here!
