Skinning NPCs. Monthly Changelog #6

We're excited to share the latest update for Zoria: Age of Shattering. Our tiny team has been working non-stop to bring changes and improvements to sweeten your experience. This month we'd like to share what's new regarding NPCs design, new armor, leveling up, localization support, and added content!

So, let's dive right in and see what's new 😁
Technical Enhancements
This month we focused on localization support to prepare Zoria for implementing different languages as the development progresses. We want to make the game more accessible and not meant for English speakers only. Localization is always a complicated topic in game dev, and it's especially laborious and time-consuming in RPG games, where there's plenty of text. We'll keep you updated on that πŸ˜‰ In the meantime, which languages would you like Zoria to be in? Let us know in the comments below!

We've made some changes to the levels at which you gain abilities. You'll be able to access more powerful abilities faster, making gameplay even more fun and engaging.

We've also been working on a major update to our in-house character creator, which we use for NPCs and game characters. This update will allow us to create far more diverse characters than initially planned, making the game world feel even more alive and immersive. We might add some of these changes to the Player Character Creator as well πŸ˜‰
Content Updates
Now, let's talk about some of the new content we've been working on. We've been busy implementing new armor sets for you to discover and equip. Would you like to see some sketches? 😊

Finally, we've been working on the end-game content. Unfortunately, the details must stay secret for now since hinting anything could become a spoiler. πŸ™Š Just know we can't wait for you to experience it! πŸ˜„

That's all for now, but stay tuned for more updates!

Exotic armor, hiding trees, and the Lucky Dog Inn. Monthly Changelog #5

Commanders! βš”οΈ

We're excited to share the latest update for Zoria: Age of Shattering. Our team has been working non-stop to bring you changes and improvements that'll make your gaming experience even better. This month we'd like to share what's new regarding camera & control systems, armor, outpost systems, and more! So, let's dive right in and see what's new 😁
Camera and Controls
The camera will now have a smoother motion and auto-rotation toward the movement direction. Plus, we've added alternative keyboard movement controls for those who prefer this control style to the mouse-click-only control. The camera collision system will work better now, and a new see-through camera obstruction feature will ensure an unobstructed view.

Trees will no longer block your view! They will now disappear and won't block your sight πŸŒ²πŸ‘€
Armor Tweaks
Armor changes will be visible on the 3D models of the main character and followers! We've also categorized current armor sets into Light, Medium, Hardened, and Heavy, as well as by rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Exotic, and Epic. We'll add even more armor designs in future updates.
Outposts System
We've added a couple of new outposts in the game, e.g., the "Lucky Dog Inn" and the "Moon Flower Burrow." The "Lucky Dog Inn" will be your go-to spot for quests and recruiting followers, while the "Moon Flower Burrow" will be perfect for resting and recovering 😊
Difficulty Settings
There's a new system that will let you choose the difficulty of the game. This will affect things like Enemy HP, Enemy stats influencing damage and resistances, and Enemy abilities. We decided on three classic levels of gameplay difficulty: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Pick whichever suits you best!

Additionally, Neles – Zoria's Producer and Quest Writer - is currently representing Tiny Trinket games at the Reboot Develop Blue in Dubrovnik, meeting with other game developers, exchanging experiences, and of course, introducing Zoria to a new public 😊

Keep your fingers crossed for Neles, and as always, follow Zoria on Twitter and Facebook, and join the Discord server to make sure you get all the latest updates and news from the world of Zoria! βš”οΈ
