A new hotfix patch is available now to address the latest issues you reported and improve your experience in the lands of Eudros!

[h2]BUGS FIXES/OPTIMIZATIONS[/h2]
  • Fixed issue with Vampire skill tree not letting you unlock skills even if you're the proper Vampire level
  • Fixed issue with Lionsmane Battle always spawning in certain Grassy Plains maps
  • Added map for Hostile Logging Camp (No longer boots you to title screen upon entering)
  • Oak trees now drop the correct logs
  • Prophet's Spear now deals damage correctly
  • Fixed sleep UI not showing the correct name of the day you are on.
  • If you did not receive the Grimclaw companion upon donating all eggs, visit the Grimclaw Burrow again and interact with the basket. If the basket was somehow out of sync with the quest (as in, the quest is completed but the basket is missing eggs), interacting with the basket should give you the companion.
  • Hallowed Earth now consumes mana properly
  • Spear Charge now consumes stamina properly
  • Blood Leech now consumes mana properly
  • Mortar Arrow now works with any bow
  • Mortar Arrow now consumes stamina properly
  • Fixed skillbook tooltips (Text should no longer clip out of the tooltip box)
  • Can no longer lock weaponsmithing UI by clicking "Auto Craft" then clicking "Craft" quickly after
  • Auto craft now grants the proper amount of weaponsmithing EXP
  • Clicking during the weaponsmithing minigame no longer returns control to your character
  • Moonstone Ultrasword now crafts the proper weapon
  • Level 7 Weaponsmithing is no longer unlocked at level 6 (lol)
  • Optimized crafting (Specficially, when quickly clicking the craft button. A slight delay was added to the button after clicking it as well, to further help mitigate issues)
  • Major optimizations to most locations, especially the overworld
  • Optimized achievement screen
  • Fixed issue where items in the "Accessory" slot (ring icon slot) would be destroyed if a new item was equipped before unequipping the item first (for those of you who lost your woodcutting harness this way, type in "AddItem WoodcuttingHarness 1" to the console! (:
  • When using the Vampire skill "Feed", you should get an accurate update to the amount of time you have left until you are blood starved (No longer loops at 1 hour)
  • You should now be able to turn in 3 Goblin Shivs to Shmilmorf during the "Shivs for Shmilmorf" questline
  • Fixed issue where you could spam-click during harvesting to get a ton of mining/woodcutting EXP
  • Mushrooms now grant the proper amount of Foraging EXP
  • Removed old and broken berry bushes
  • Fixed issue with "Focused Shot" consuming 2 bullets at a time. If only 1 bullet is loaded, the amount would go negative, allowing you to fire semi-automatically (funny AND fun, but broken lol)
  • Fixed dead-end dialogue with Prawix if you tell him you don't have the staff he asks you to retrieve
  • Tania's dialogue changes after completing her quest "House Blend", preventing you from being able to accept the quest again
  • "Gilded Coffee" now cures diseases as intended
  • Fixed odd building placement in Elderglen (Upper building near the castle)
  • Fixed bug that wouldn't track when you created a Fletcher's Brew for the Fletcher's Brew questline
  • The Fletcher's Fowl tavernkeeper should now give you the recipe for the Fletcher's Brew. If you didn't get it when you started the quest, returning it to him will allow you to ask for the recipe (if the quest is still active)
  • Fixed issue where custom potions wouldn't show up when the "Potions" filter was selected in your inventory screen
  • Fixed issue that would place removed skills back in the slot you removed them from
  • Fixed issue with shields unequipping themselves when entering the overworld with a spear and shield equipped
  • Set a limit of 60 FPS inside menu pages.
  • Now Unhook doesn't activate Hide mode anymore.
  • Users are now able to bind the 'Throw' action.
  • Fixed some overflowing text inside the building construction interface.

[h2]BALANCES/ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]
  • The game now saves after collecting an Aegis Egg to prevent quest/event misalignment
  • Added missing quest trackers to overworld areas
  • Increased drop rate of Goblin Shivs from Stitch Snitch Goblins by 20%
  • Removed "Feed" skill from the Vampire skill tree since it is an inherent skill of being a Vampire
  • Re-opened segment of Three Sister's Forest
  • Refined harvestable spawns at the Three Sisters Forest
  • For now, custom potions will no longer show up in the trade window. (Will be re-added when the issue with them not selling properly is resolved!)
  • Optimized foliage LODs and culling

  • Added new overworld event: Lionsmane Battle! Join a battle between a group of Lionsmane Mercenaries and Bandits!

[h2]BUG FIXES[/h2]
  • The Verglas Elk now has a proper description and details on the mount selection screen
  • Fixed issue with Vampire skill tree not unlocking vampire skills
  • FIxed issue where companions would sometimes aim their attacks at you when there isn't an enemy nearby to target
  • Fixed random player spawns at grassy plain areas

[h2]BALANCING/ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]
  • WOODCUTTING AND MINING REBALANCE:

    β—‹ Goal: Grant Woodcutting and Mining levels more frequently and allow the player to gather more resources faster, while also incentivising players to harvest resources that are at their Woodcutting or Mining level.
    β—‹ Woodcuttting/Mining Level Progression changes: Shifted all resource level requirements to be higher than before - but also dramatically increased the EXP you gain from harvesting them. The amount of Woodcutting/Mining EXP the resources grant you should be paced much better than before, with higher level resource granting much more EXP!
    β—‹ Resources: You have a base bonus loot chance of 15%. The higher your level relative to the harvestables level increases the bonus chance! For example - if you're level 30 Woodcutting and you chop down a level 1 tree (Pine trees), you have nearly 50% chance to earn bonus loot with each hit! You also now gain between 1-3 extra resources for bonus loot hits. This should help lessen the grind for basic materials, especially if you're a high level in the repective harvesting skill.

  • CALENDAR SYSTEM REWORK:

    β—‹ All dates will now have some form of event happening somewhere in the world.
    β—‹ Changed the way events are selected, allowing for specific areas to recieve unique events (will be usefull when new kingdoms are added!)
    β—‹ Added descriptions to all calendar events

  • Reduced volume of victory fanfare after defeating overworld enemy groups

[h2]ADDITIONS[/h2]
  • FULL KEYBOARD/MOUSE KEYBINDING SUPPORT! (As stated in our last State of Eudros, you'll be able to test control mapping to your liking and, above all... give us feedback. This feature has been tested internally but may not yet be in its final form, which is why your reports will help Milo refine it and promptly address any issues that may arise.)
  • Added Easter-themed questline/event! Visit the Khenmoore Flatlands to recieve a letter from a delivery bird to start the quest.
  • Added new mount: Meadowstrider
  • Added new cave to the Khenmoore Flatlands: The Grimclaw Burrow (Related to the Easter questline!)
  • Added new companion: The Grimclaw
  • Added new woodcutting resource: Oak Trees! (No crafting recipes require oak logs yet!)

The fresh spring air is about to arrive in the lands of Eudros, and while you're hunting or taking a nap in a flowery meadow, there's someone who - hidden in some hole in the ground - judges your deeds... 🐰

You'll soon know what I'm talking about, but first of all, welcome to our usual appointment with the State of Eudros, our monthly summary with the latest news from the world of The Bloodline and glimpses of what's cooking! πŸ₯˜

[h2]IN THE LAST MONTH... [/h2]

As you know, our Milo is tireless, and even in the last month, we released a significant update that added new content, including weapons and events on the calendar, optimizations, and improvements, followed by an inevitable hotfix to promptly respond to your feedback. You're incredible bug hunters, we must admit it!

Speaking of hunting, a mysterious creature in the verdant lands of Eudros demands a favor that you can’t refuse (literally!)

[h2]BRING THE EGGS, OR PAY THE PRICE. πŸ’€ [/h2]

As you may have guessed, a new update is already on its way, and this time it will address one of your most urgent requests: full keybinding for keyboard/mouse is coming! With the next update, you'll be able to test control mapping to your liking and, above all... give us feedback. This feature has been tested internally but may not yet be in its final form, which is why your reports will help Milo refine it and promptly address any issues that may arise.

Along with this, get ready for an Egg Hunt that couldn't possibly be missing from our first Easter event. The Aegis Eggs are scattered all around the Khenmoore Flatlands, and a deadly creature by the name of the Grimclaw Burrower demands that you donate at least one egg if you enter its burrow! If you don't, you'll pay the price. πŸ’€

If you meet the demands, you can acquire the adorable and swift Meadowstrider Mount - capable of jumping really high - and The Grimclaw itself as a companion, a combat-focused companion that leaps at enemies and can dish out some big damage!



[h2]COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS: VALENTINE'S DAY CONTEST & ODD JOBS [/h2]

To celebrate our first Valentine's Day together, we asked the community to find the perfect location for a romantic date in the lands of Eudros, where to pop the most important question: "Will you slay goblins with me forever?" πŸ’˜ The prize? An extra key of The Bloodline to gift to your sweetheart.

All the proposals were top-notch, but you can admire the winning works chosen by the community and Milo below:



Another one of our Community Design Challenges has come to an end, and in this round, we asked players to propose some... Odd Jobs! These are quick and fun assignments that don’t quite fit into specific guilds but would be posted on the city assignment boards instead.

Here are some of the proposals that we particularly liked:
  • Tavern Bouncer by KingYaga The bandits are drunk, causing problems and don't wanna leave....make them.
  • Local Witch Calls in Sick by Spanks Masterson The local witch's coven is gathering for their seasonal potluck but Esmerelda would much prefer to go on a picnic with her boyfriend instead. She can't call in sick AGAIN so she begs you to help. Since the coven needs 13 witches to make a quorum (and she's the 13th) you'll need to put on her creepy hooded cloak and attend in her place. Since the cloak is rather voluminous, they'll never know it isn't her. All you have to do is take a place in the circle for the opening ceremony and then you can leave. Easy money.

    Issue: After the player takes a place in the circle they discover that the witches are summoning an incubus for Becky's bachelorette party. Surprise! Sadly, the player doesn't do their part to help (they have no clue what to do) and as such the witches summon a significantly less friendly demon. The coven decides that the bachelorette party is over and teleports away, leaving the player to deal with the monster.
  • Drinking Competition by Eakagus Drinking contest, pass out from drink & wake up in a cave or something still drunk. Classic.

Of course, the purpose of these challenges is to unleash your imagination: we can't guarantee that these ideas will be added to The Bloodline exactly as they were imagined, but they will certainly be a great source of inspiration for future content!

  • Fixed Astral Rift not spawning enemies properly (reduced required kills from 30 to 15)

  • Fixed issue with pause window getting stuck when quickly pausing/unpausing
  • Fixed issue where game would crash when leaving then entering an area after leveling up your Vampirism skill
  • Fixed issue with crashes with Astral Rift event in the Khenmoore Flatlands
  • ESC now closes the potioncrafting window (Still opens the pause screen - will be fixed soon as well)
  • Fixed dead-end dialogue with Leon Harfort in Arema
  • The staff skill "Totem" no longer requires you to leave your staff, leaving you unarmed. You will now keep your staff and a duplicate staff will be placed.
  • Upgrading a guild assignment no longer gets rid of guild currency reward
  • All Druid form spells should hide your ranged weapon when shapeshifted
  • Moonstone Ingot removed from level 1 smelting options
  • Autonomous Bot now appears in your companion window after crafting it (works now!) (all of its components can now be obtained through console commands as well)
  • Destroying the Paladin's Tower after constructing it now properly destroys all of the compenents
  • Reduced damage from coughing with Shaky Throat disease
  • Changed quest accept/completed UI
  • Goblin Leaders should now spawn instead of Goblin Infantry for Lionsmane "Hunt Goblin Leader" assignments
  • Fixed issue with the Vampire skill "Feed" not properly tracking Vampirism EXP
  • Fixed text clipping out of passive skill tooltips
  • Fixed text clipping out of companion window
  • Undead Staff now shoots projectiles with the default staff attack
  • Fixed issue in Birch Forest where every single mining ore node would spawn in a single spot

  • Changing the players hair color with the preset color options now properly updates hair stubble color as well

  • Curing vampirism with the console command will not prevent mana and stamina from regenerating any longer
  • Fixed issue where you could not become a Vampire again after curing your Vampirism with the console command

  • Fixed issue with 3rd plot to the right as you walk away from your stronghold that would not allow you to construct buildings properly in its location
  • Fixed Autonomous Bot Companion dialogue
  • Fixed dead-end dialogue with Prawix the Travelling Wizard in Khenmoore
  • Fixed issue where enemies would play a jumping animation when they weren't jumping
  • Frozen enemy VFX should be destroyed when the enemy unfreezes (Greatly optimized cryomancy!)
  • Fixed issue where the "Flamethrower" skill would apply multiple burn status effects to the player
  • Fixed tooltip for Dwarven Grenade Launcher
  • Fixed navigation issues in Khenmoore
  • Fixed issue where player would not unlock Fletcher's Brew recipe when completing the Fletcher's Brew quest
  • Fixed objective text for "Keeper of Cows" questline
  • Fixed layering issue with credit window on main menu
  • Fixed issue where some buildings wouldn't be completely destroyed when deconstructing them
  • Added quest marker for "Keeper of Cows" questline for the Khenmoore Physician

  • Removed floating skill book at the village of Ordwood
  • Overpowder should now have a much bigger damage cone
  • Flintlock skills with the timed UI element no longer add a bullet to your gun's magazine
  • Fixed issue that would cause crashes when leveling up Blood Magic
  • Collision on the Ogre Dens should now work properly
  • Goblin Shivs should now show the proper name, image and description

[h2]BALANCING/ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]
  • All druid animal form spells now add Druid EXP for every 3 seconds in the form
  • Damaging enemies with the wolf-form attacks now grants Druid EXP
  • All Druid spells should now cost mana, and grant Druid EXP for casting them
  • Adjusted camera placement for wolf-form spell.
  • Damaging enemies with Boar Rush now grants Druid EXP
  • Damaging enemies with Bear Claw spell now grants Druid EXP
  • The spell "Carrion Flock" now grants Druid EXP for every second you continue casting the spell
  • Standard staff attacks now grant staff EXP
  • Reduced Blood Leech mana cost from 50 to 25
  • Blood Totem spell now costs 35 mana (was 0)
  • Viscera Storm spell now costs 35 mana (was also 0)
  • Reduced Consume Vitality mana cost from 50 to 35
  • Blood Spear and Ichorian Blade no longer require mana - but will draw from your own blood if an enemy or corpse is not targeted, resulting in self-damage.
  • Clot Orb will now drain your own health to cast and not cost any mana
  • Meat Puppet spell now costs less mana, but drains more health per second while puppeting an enemy
  • Reduced health cost for summoning a Blood Golem with your own blood from 150 to 100
  • Increased Undead Walker summon health from 125 to 350
  • Increased Undead Walker summon damage from 20 to 30
  • Increased Undead Ripper summon health from 250 to 450
  • Increased Undead Ripper summon damage from 35 to 55
  • Increased Undead Breaker summon health from 150 to 600
  • Increased Undead Breaker summon damage from 60 to 90
  • Increased Iron Flintlock Pistol from 80 damage to 125
  • Slightly reduced Iron Flintlock Pistol reload speed
  • Reduced Iron Blunderpistol damage from 25 damage per pellet to 15 damage per pellet
  • Reduced pellet spread for Iron Blunderpistol (from 15-degree cone to 10-degree cone)
  • Removed Quartermaster and Stable construction sites from inside the Harbinger's Stronghold
  • Replaced goblins spawns with Three Sister Cult spawns at the Three Sister's Forest
  • Reduced Copper Ultrasword damage from 50 to 35
  • Reduced Slimemetal Ultrasword damage from 75 to 50
  • Triple Shot and Druidic Bolts now grant 3 Bow EXP for each hit
  • Frost and Fire arrows now grant 3 Bow EXP on hit
  • Rimeshot now grants 3 Bow EXP on cast
  • Rain of Arrows now grants 6 Bow EXP on cast
  • Relentless Barrage now grants 2 Bow EXP for each hit
  • Mortar Arrow now grants 3 Bow EXP on cast
  • Balloon Arrow now grants 3 Bow EXP on cast
  • Overdraw now grants 10 Bow EXP on hit

  • Hitting enemies with a thrown shield now grants 10 Shield EXP
  • Shield Plow now grants 10 Shield EXP upon hitting an enemy
  • Catapult Shield now grants 7 Shield EXP upon hitting an enemy
  • Shield Projection now grants 5 shield EXP on cast
  • Shield Foothold now grants 5 EXP when shield attaches to a surface
  • Shield Glider now grants 8 EXP on cast
  • Blood Rain now costs 50 mana and has a 60 second cooldown
  • Focused Shot now grants flintlock EXP if you hit an enemy (15 for perfect shots, 10 for on-time shots, 5 for missed-timed shots)
  • Buckshot now grants flintlock EXP if you hit any enemy (1 EXP for every pellet hit. 20 total pellets fired)
  • Overpowder now deals x3 weapon damage and grants 15 flintlock EXP
