Update #35 - New enemy, new Boss, new room!

Welcome!



Today's update major highlights are the addition of a new room type, the Forge, that can show up behind blue doors, a new dangerous enemy, the Kumakatok, and Ixora, a fiery Dungeon Guardian.


New Content:
  • New Room Type: The Forge, where you can upgrade a single weapon level.
  • New enemy: Kumakatok
  • New Boss: Ixora


Gameplay changes:
  • Chained chest challenge is now harder (waves end earlier). Wave duration now is modified by difficulty.
  • Added more tar pits in special fights.
  • Changed how Blue lock doors work:
    Instead of locking a special room behind the door, now an additional room is placed. Blue lock rooms can only have a Chest or Forge room, and these won't show up outside Blue locks either.
  • Bookworm now shouldn't show up if you already have 4 perk choices per level up.
  • Buffed Sprinter a bit.
  • Changed Oracle perk a bit.
  • Toned down Ulmar Fish rotation speed while attacking.
  • Removed ability to use the Character Skill/Amulet while dashing.
  • Ulmar Fish' beam now doesn't pierce Asiro's Shield.
  • Switcheroo projectiles now benefit of Damage multipliers.


Improvements:
  • Redone Main Menu background.
  • Reorganized Main Menu buttons to make it a bit easier to read.
  • Added background music for Ice Cave theme.
  • Reworded some perks to make it more clear that a weapon will be consumed.
  • Improved the comparison UI when picking up a weapon/amulet.
  • Daily Challenge has been moved from "Extra Modes" (now reworded to "Classic Modes") to the main menu.
  • Added more tooltips to specific game settings.
  • Done some changes to the postprocessing chain that should improve performance a bit.
  • Now there's a specific bind for the character sheet (U by default). The F key still opens it by default, but it can be disabled in settings as usual.
  • Tightened interactables angle/distance a bit.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed some visual issues related to Ulmar Fish scale (such as Shield champions' bubble).
  • Should have fixed "weapon disappearance" bug when hit by charging Vanguards.
  • Should have fixed "weapon disappearance" bug when spawning Skeletons.
  • Should have fixed a rare issue where enemies could spawn inside stairs.
  • Fixed enemies jumping through a wall in a specific room.
  • Fixed Shop reroll not working properly when resuming a saved run.
  • Fixed Shrine visuals resetting when revisiting the room.
  • Fixed minion spawn effects not properly showing up.

Update #34 - Hotfix update

Hi! This patch fixes some issues introduced in the last update, along with some balance adjustments to the new enemies.

Improvements:
  • You can now use Ctrl to close the newly added stats screen


Gameplay changes:
  • Ulmar fish: Reduced a bit beam follow speed, decreased damage.
  • Infernal fish: Increased attack rate, increased projectile size a bit, increased damage dealt, increased amount spawned.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed Margaret unlocking Rigel's perks on top of her own.

Update #33 - Ulmar Fish!

Hello!



In today's update we're bringing a new minion making a comeback from Ziggurat 1, the Ulmar Fish!

We're also adding a new Reroll mechanic for perks, shops and shrines, that allows you to spend money for another shot at getting perks that might better adjust to your current build!

New content:
  • New enemies: Ulmar Fish and Infernal Fish


New features:
  • You can now open a Stat screen showing current modifiers for the most common stats in the Character Sheet
  • You can now spend money to reroll perks, shrine oaths (not dungeon oaths, you wouldn't have money anyway), and Shop items.


Improvements:
  • Campaign: Story missions now have fixed bosses on each dungeon level.
  • Simplified the stats shown when picking a weapon, and you can now compare the values with the currently equipped one.
  • The exit portal is highlighted once you've defeated the boss, and the combat challenge chest is highlighted when you complete the challenge (only while you're in the same room).


Gameplay changes:
  • Oath effects can now show up and be chosen more than once.
  • Increased hitbox size for all Slimes
  • Kira: Decreased Shroud duration, increased movement speed while Shroud is active, decreased Shroud cooldown.
  • Enemies will now chase a bit more actively if there's no line of sight to the target.
  • Elemental Master: Now it deals more elemental damage and reduces Basic damage dealt.
  • Fountains now slightly increase maximum health/mana when used.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed Gilded Artifact FPS drop
  • Fixed an issue with enemies getting inside decorations in a specific room.
  • Fixed animation issue with Eris.

Update #32 - Bugfixes and small balance changes

Hi! Today we're releasing a new update fixing a couple of bugs, and doing some balancing changes to a few weapons and enemies.

Gameply changes:
  • Frozen Warrior: Increased their damage. A recent update decreased player slowdown when frozen, and the Frozen Warriors were not as fearsome as before.
  • Floating and Bronze Warriors: Increased their damage. A recent update decreased their attack hitbox, so they wouldn't hit players as much. This makes them easier to dodge, but they will hit harder.
  • Green Slimes: Reduced the amount of them spawned per fight. While a single Green Slime can be a bit hard to kill, and can deal some damage, the main problem is having several of these ones clumped together. Reducing their numbers should help making them less frustrating to deal with.
  • Raziel: Increased overall damage. Raziel has always been one of the weaker bosses, and fairly easy to dodge. Increasing its damage should punish mistakes without making him too opressive.
  • King Blob III: Increased spread of the counter-attack spikes. King Blob's basic attacks are fairly easy to dodge, but the counter attack was harder to deal with. Increasing the spread should offer more safe space.
  • Power of Heart: Tightened primary attack spread.
  • Bonestorm Cutlass: Tightened secondary attack spread.
  • Done some changes to a few perks to make them more interesting/effective.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed problem with capital I letters when the system language is set to Turkish.
  • Fixed some issues with alpha transitions, such as the player spawning cutscene, or chest tops.
  • Fixed in-game timer resetting to 0 after resuming a game in progress.

Update #31 - Bugfix update

Hi! We've just released a patch fixing a few bugs reported during the past days, and also adding a useful details screen on the Laboratory.

Improvements:
  • Added an optional window with stat upgrades in the Laboratory.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed ground hole in the Ice Cave theme.
  • Fixed Gauntlet in Extra Modes having fixed Scholar difficulty
  • Fixed Gauntlet in Extra Modes not applying enemy modifiers properly after Save&Quit
  • Fixed Gauntlet in Extra Modes not having passives/specials unlocked
  • Fixed Amulets not recovering charges between rounds in Gauntlet.
  • Fixed Good Omens perk showing up in Gauntlet.
