[h3]Balance and Changes[/h3]
  • Spells obtained from using Arcane Vision can now be used immediately.
  • Arcane Vision now has a 2-turn starting cooldown and 4-turn normal cooldown.
  • Temporarily removed the trail effect when a full book bonus is activated.
  • Flying no longer prevents an entity from riding a minion.
  • Spell limit raised to 16


[h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed issue where Dive would sometimes not teleport you low enough if used above terrain.
  • Fixed mushrooms not detaching from you if you lose your tower from damage.
  • Critters no longer trigger portals.
  • Fixed wrong collision check calculation for Arcane Portal causing you to still be able to place one on top of towered players.
  • Fixed bug where more than one player can get caught by a single Mantrap.
  • Fixed some edge cases with Mantrap and Arcane Portal causing crashes and sometimes continuing to damage whoever was mounted before sinking.
  • Fixed edge case with Water Lord and Arcane Portal causing the game to crash.
  • Fixed player shader effects disappearing while riding a minion.
  • Fixed offset issue with Lightning Rod when the entity it's attached to changes size.
  • Updated Volcano's description to specify how many turns it lasts.
  • Fixed various bugs with player ghosts.

New Rewards, Player Ghosts and more!

This patch will be coming out on December 7th at 10AM PST.

Here are the patch notes.

  • Spells and bonus essence can now drop at the end of the round.
  • Experimental: Players now turn into ghosts when they die. Ghosts can fly around and move through terrain but can't currently interact with anything.
    This is currently only enabled in the new game mode "Experimental". Please try it out and let us know if you notice any bugs with it 😄
  • Add a chat to the end of game screen.


[h2]Changes[/h2]
  • Mega Boulder's damage is now the following: 5 at the start, then increases by 5 each time it increases in size, up to 20 per bounce max.
  • Improved rematching. Rematches no longer happen if all players leave except one.


[h2]Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed crashes from some edge cases when shooting a Rolling Snowball into mountable minions.
  • Prevent players from being able to activate full book bonuses more than once.
  • Attempt at fixing edge case where Fireball would spawn more than 8 napalm.
  • Fixed bug where minions with multi-hit passives (e.g. Whale, Mantrap, Storm Wisp) would keep activating them even after dying.
  • Fixed wrong radius for Ice Golem's freezing aura when overgrown.
  • Fixed the position of the Storm Wisp's eyes when overgrown.
  • Fixed slightly offset positioning of the particles for Ice Golem and Tree of Life.
  • The Mantrap can no longer grab a Phoenix egg.

[h2]Changes[/h2]
  • Teams can now be selected before the match starts in the lobby.
  • Greatly increased the range of Phoenix's Fire Breath absorption.
  • Nerfed Rain of Fire's damage from 15 to 10 per fireball.
  • Buffed Comet's base damage to 90, and it now digs slightly into terrain before exploding.
  • Changed Mega Boulder to 6 bounces x 20 damage per bounce.
  • Nerfed Mud Blast's initial damage from 30 to 10.
  • Removed the sandbox dummy's knockback resistance.
  • Buffed Tree of Life's hp from 35 to 50.
  • Increased snowflake count for Snowflake Blast from 16 to 20.
  • Fissure will now spawn a minimum of 6 Rock Scatter projectiles on its 2nd turn.
  • Increased the range of the toxic fumes for mushrooms.
  • Storm Titan's thunderstorm now no longer activates immediately after the titan is summoned.
  • Branch of Yggdrasil has been replaced by a new spell, Summon Ent, and its effects have been moved and modified into buffs for Full Nature (see Full Book Bonuses section).
  • Added new minion spell Vine Bridge to the Ent minion.
  • Added a visual effect to Ice Golem's aura.

[h2]Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed wrong radius being used for the cursor after sinking while overgrown.
  • Fixed wrong order of operations for if an entity with Substitute set up is hit by a Spore Ball.
  • Clams now have a cap of 7 damaging bounces to prevent the infinite bounce bug.
  • Arcane damage no longer hurts friendly minions.
  • Fixed minion summoning radius being too small when overgrown.
  • Fixed wrong radius values being used for most minion spells with a summoning range.
  • Fixed lightning rod sinking through entities if on an entity that is mounted on a minion.
  • Flying minions no longer lose their collision after not moving for a long time and then moving vertically only.
  • Updated visual indicators for Fissure, Whirlpool, and Whale, to match Volcano's indicator.
  • Fixed players continuing to move if pressing tab to open chat while still pressing left/right.
  • Fixed Arcane Portals still being allowed to spawn on towered players.
  • Added missing stun immunity for Rock Golem.


[h2]FULL BOOK BONUSES[/h2]
If you have all spells from a spellbook equipped, you get a new button when joining a match to activate full book bonuses. Activating the bonuses costs 50 HP and gives you various buffs and effects specific to each book.

[h3]Arcane[/h3]
  • Arcane Arrows and Arcane Bomb spawn 2 extra arrows.
  • Arcane Glyphs spawn an extra outer ring of glyphs.
  • Glyph Ball leaves behind a trail of glyphs.
  • On activation, you and all your current minions gain the following passive: at the start of your turn, shoot an arcane arrow towards the nearest enemy.


[h3]Fire[/h3]
  • The Phoenix's egg form becomes permanently unbreakable.
  • Increase the explosion radius of all your explosive fire spells by 50%.


[h3]Earth[/h3]
  • Gain permanent Stone Skin (with 2 instead of 5 damage reduction), and replace the Stone Skin spell with Rollout.
  • Mud rock projectiles create more terrain.


[h3]Water[/h3]
  • Gain permanent Water Skin, and replace the Water Skin spell with Dive.
  • Waterball and Water Jet spawn 10 extra droplets.
  • Spring Shower spawns 10 extra droplets per turn.
  • Whirlpool's height is increased.


[h3]Frost[/h3]
  • Gain immunity to being frozen.
  • Ice Ring becomes a targetable spell.
  • Ice Golem spawns a Frost Imp on death.
  • Convert Comet into Mini Comet: drop a small comet that's half the size and damage of Comet, but with a 2turn cooldown and more digging.


[h3]Storm[/h3]
  • Lightning Bolt and Lightning Bomb shoot 2 extra bolts.
  • All your Chain Lightning projectiles bounce an extra 8 times.


[h3]Nature[/h3]
  • Acorns create terrain around where they spawn.
  • Overgrowth makes entities even larger.
  • On activation, all your existing mushrooms gain the following passive: at the start of your turn, shoot a spore ball towards the nearest enemy.

[h3]Cosmetics[/h3]
  • Added Beta Hat and Patreon Supporter Wand to the game. If you played a few games during the beta you will receive the hat. If you supported us on Patreon you will also receive the Supporter Wand. ❤️
  • Added Mushroom Costume which drops like other items.


[h3]Changes[/h3]
  • Added player counts to the mode select menu
  • Replaced Leaf Arrow and Leaf Storm with new spells Spore Ball and Spore Bomb.
  • Spores deal damage on impact and spawn fungus (mushrooms).
  • Fungus deals damage to anyone nearby at the start of your turn, every turn, and they cannot be destroyed except by sinking.
  • Replaced Nature's Touch with new minion Mantrap: a mountable minion, but every turn it deals 30 damage to whoever is mounted on it. Only entities smaller enough than the mantrap can mount it. The mantrap is also unable to jump.
  • New minion spell Vine Tunnel: tunnel through terrain and teleport to where the spell leaves terrain.
  • The sandbox dummy now has several of the Tier 3 spells equipped.
  • Enabled camera focus by pressing C for missiles, bombs, and environment objects (clouds, whirlpool, volcano, etc).
  • Changed Water Troll's HP to 60.
  • The Water Troll and Whale now won't have Waterball unless you have it equipped yourself.
  • The Storm Wisp now won't have Blink unless you have it equipped yourself.


[h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed bug where a mountable minion can steal a player from another mountable minion, causing the minion stolen from to become unmountable.
  • Updated Hailstorm's icon.
  • Fixed camera shaking bug when zoomed all the way out in some maps.
  • Lightning bolts no longer have a small limited range.
  • Removed the outdated ice shield background on the Ice Golem.
  • Fixed the black texture bug in the map editor.
