We are starting more servers

Dear Community,

The launch has been a struggle when it comes to handling the number of players on Myrland as you all know. We have a core vision of one world and have been working towards that for many years. Not having the ability to get real cases with the amount of players needed to progress in this field makes this a very time consuming step, and mostly, a big frustration for our players. It shouldn't feel as if our players who bought the game are testing this process. In this I have failed to make it work in an acceptable timeframe.

We have done several patches that have increased the overall stable population cap by 300-600 at a time and we are reaching decent numbers for Myrland, but not enough to support our 10k that want to play on Myrland now.

This means we have decided that we need to do what's necessary to make sure everyone can play directly. This means we will add additional continents, just as planned for future continents like Sarducaa etc, but it will be Myrland for now. You will be able to travel back and forth, as you do between different Haven instances now, and things will remain persistent with your character and guild status. However you will not be able to build on these extra Myrland continents, only on the main one.
This gives us headroom to continue our work on improving our continent's capacity. We are also working on our upcoming continents that will replace the extra Myrland continents whenever they are ready.

We need a few days until we can deploy these extra continents and let all of you in, and we will update you when we have the final day and time for this.

Patch Notes 1.0.0.9

Added
  • Added confirm buttons to leaving & disbanding guild.
  • Added new gatherable resources to Myrland
  • Added a few more roaming bandits on Haven

Changes
  • Rebuilt the queue system to be more reliable and informative. You can now see your position and an estimate of the time you will have to wait. The new system also keeps connections alive in a better way. Part of this change made the “logging in” sequence longer but just let it do its thing and you should correctly connect. You also keep your spot in the queue for much longer now. If the game crashes while you are in the middle of the queue you now have 10 minutes to login to keep your spot.
  • Added 2 more nodes to help balance the players better in the world. This makes it so that we can take in a lot more players.
  • Improve load balance that decides when the server queue should start. This should make it so that the server only starts a queue when it needs to, leading to more players on the server.
  • Improved the startup sequence for the server to make sure that it has fully started before starting the startup queue.
  • Myrland queue message is now shown as a popup that you need to confirm in the haven city selection UI.
  • Increased some fishes strength
  • Lowered some fish values
  • Updated taming and domination messages to make them a bit more clear

Fixes
  • Multiple crash fixes in the UI.
  • Fixed issue where clicking the vertical border of the window would be detected as a drag input causing the user not to be able to stop dragging the window.
  • Fixed the correct vendor value on Clothos animal parts.
  • Fixed house doors and keep gates playing the opening animation incorrectly while loading in.
  • Fixed being unable to upgrade your house in certain rare instances.
  • Fixed decoration mode not activating while standing on top of furniture inside a house.
  • Fixed instant respawners in Myrland.

Server update to improve queue times

We are working on improving the queue situation in Myrland and have some fixes being worked on that should greatly improve the queue and the numbers of players who can be on the server at the same time.

As a temporary step we applied a patch to the Myrland server that reduces the disconnect time of players from 4 hours to 5 minutes to get more players rotating out and in of the server.

Thank you for your patience while we sort this out.

Patch Notes 1.0.0.8

Added
  • Added EULA to the login screen that you need to accept in order to play.

Changes
  • After leaving the queue you will now be able to skip the entire queue the next time you login if you do it within 5 min after leaving. So if any issues occur while you are loading into the game you can now skip the queue when you relog.
  • Decreased the CladeXP you get from Walking Deads.
  • Increased the CladeXP you get from Bandits and Risars.
  • Removed Ironwood trees from Haven.
  • Fire particles are tweaked to look better on lower settings

Fixes
  • Fixed another set of crashes related to the login queue and after entering the game. (error code 0x80000003)
  • Fixed a startup crash related to the characters in the login screen sometimes initializing before other systems.
  • Fixed issue that made clients disconnect from the login while in the middle of the queue.
  • Fixed issue that would disconnect clients as soon as they entered Nave after being in queue. This is a partial fix as this will still happen in some cases if it does; simply pressing login again should move you to the front of the queue and you will just login again instantly without having to wait.
  • Optimized the nodes to handle more people even in crowded areas. More optimizations are still coming.
  • Fixed several leaks caused by insane pressure on the login servers.
  • Fixed floating plants near Vadda.
  • Fixed broken collision in some ruins.
  • Fixed a tiny issue in the female body mesh UVs related to tattoos.

Patch Notes 1.0.0.7

Added
  • Added more wildlife to the world.
  • Added a new version of Zombies that roam near cities that do not have a Graveyard.

Changes
  • You can now only bring a total of 3 gold from Haven.
  • Lowered the sell price on haven bandit heads to 25s (was 80s).
  • You now need to have your clade gifts at level 2 before you can leave Haven.
  • Decreased the spawn timer on horse spawns (they now spawn faster).
  • Increased the “Use” distance on bankers to make them easier to access.
  • The Tindrem bank is now easier to access.
  • Strongholds can no longer be placed within 100m of another stronghold or keep.

Fixes
  • Fixed issue with the client crashing after roughly 20 minutes in the login queue.
  • Fixed issue with player bodies getting stuck with proportions of that of another clade in character creation and the paperdoll window. For example, a Thursar could get the body shape of an Oghmir. Note, this never affected your appearance to others in the game.
  • Fixed issue with player faces breaking after character creation. This was due to an encoding error that only happened to some face codes. This error can’t be repaired but we are working on a solution to allow you to update your character face without rerolling. New and rerolled characters should be fixed. Broken faces will remain the same on existing characters until we have a solution and we do not recommend rerolling at this time.
  • Fixed crash in HUD when clearing the split stack popup.
  • Fixed crash when clearing extra effects on weapons (for example torch fire).
  • Fixed crash related to preloading game content on startup.
  • Fixed crash in HUD when updating the list of stabled pets.
  • Fixed a rare crash related to getting information about another player.
  • Fixed a rare crash in HUD when unequipping items.
  • Fixed a rare crash related to updating player velocity.
  • Fixed one of the Huergar beards being broken on a lower LOD.
  • Fixed Wisent foot-placement when moving.
  • Fixed a lot of landscape and terrain issues.

Optimization
  • Made several optimizations to the server to help with overcrowded cities.
