Apex Legends' Season 14 weapon changes switch up "easy to use" Wingman

We think it's fair to say that if there's one thing we're all looking out for when it comes to a fresh set of Apex Legends patch notes, it's the weapon changes - and Season 14 isn't any different. It doesn't matter if you're using a character at the top of our Apex Legends tier list or the bottom, landing your shots is what's going to win you your next game. While we don't know all the information just yet, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that it's introducing huge weapon changes in Apex Legends' Season 14 to both the Wingman and the Spitfire.

What are these huge weapon changes? Well, during a pre-season press event, senior game designer Eric Canavese confirmed that both of these weapons are going to be using different ammo types moving forward. If you want to use the Wingman in Season 14, you're going to need to use Sniper Ammo and Sniper Magazines. If you want to use the Spitfire, you're going to need to stock up on Light Ammo and keep your eyes peeled for a Light Magazine.

If you're worried about these changes, you shouldn't be. Canavese explained that these changes are primarily aimed at altering the ammo economy in-game right now, noting specifically that this update shouldn't alter "the feel and the damage, and the handling, of that traditional Wingman we've all come to know and love."
