Code 100 Apex Legends PS4 - error code explained and how to fix

Apex Legends Code 100 for PS4 is a somewhat common error code that players experience when playing the battle royale, halting progress and presenting the error "unable to complete EA sign in". Apex Legends is patching out a popular movement tech exploit

Apex Legends is getting rid of tap-strafing, a bit of movement tech that allows players to do speedy mid-air turns without losing any momentum. It was never an intended game mechanic, but something high-level players have discovered that makes it incredibly tough to shoot at them. But last night, Respawn announced that they're doing away with tap-strafing in the battle royale's next patch.

Apex Legends' overpowered tap-strafing will be removed in an upcoming patch

Respawn Entertainment will be removing tap-strafing from Apex Legends in patch 10.1, the studio has confirmed.

The announcement was made via a tweet from the studio's official Twitter account, where it explained the reason for the removal in a frank and clear statement.

If you're unsure what tap-strafing is, it's essentially a high-level in-game technique that allows a player to perform fast movement changes without impacting speed and momentum. To put it simply, it's a trick that can be used to make you harder to shoot (especially in the air), whilst providing all the advantages of being mobile. Think of it as a dodge-roll, albeit one Respawn never intended you to use.

Apex Legends nerfed the all-powerful Seer last night and I didn't even notice

Last night, Respawn updated Apex Legends to apply some much-needed nerfs to Seer. He's the most recent Legend to arrive in the battle royale, introduced at the start of the current season, and honestly he's been a bit of a pain. Seer's abilities revolve around tracking other players in incredibly disruptive ways, and now the devs have made a few changes to make him a little less annoying. Unfortunately, the changes don't seem that noticeable - I played Apex for three hours last night and didn't actually realise there'd been a patch.
