Apex Legends fans want a League of Legends feature in battle royale

We know Apex Legends is one of the best battle royale games out there right now, but sometimes you just get into a game with someone who's not having a good day. There are a lot of ways to communicate with your squad in Respawn Entertainment's shooter, but apparently, it seems as though the Apex Legends community doesn't think there's enough. If you're someone who thinks there should be a way to praise and reward other players based on their in-game performance, you're not alone. Apex Legends fans want Respawn Entertainment to introduce an endorsement system to the battle royale - something like the endorsement system in Overwatch or League of Legends' honor system

The conversation, sparked by Revenant main 'Wiggles357' on the Apex Legends subreddit, is all about finding a way for players in-game to effectively communicate their gratitude with other Apex Legends players for things like: getting knocked and not quitting, having good comms in-game, and "just all around good sportsmanship".

Of course, as you might already know, Apex Legends does prompt players to say thank you to their squadmates when they're revived - and when they pick up an item pinged by another. However, this suggestion seems to go beyond that.

Apex Legends actress reveals new Horizon skin is tribute to her cat

We all know that Apex Legends is easily one of the best battle royale games out there right now, but did you know that Respawn Entertainment is one of the best developers out there, too? Following on from the wholesome revelation from the Apex Legends devs that Vantage's bat Echo is "just too cute" to kill, Horizon voice actress Elle Newlands has revealed that one of the Scottish legends' new skins is actually a tribute to her late cat, Anya. We're not crying, you are.

On August 15, almost a week after the start of Season 14, Newlands took to Twitter to share a screenshot of Horizon's new Anya's Armor epic skin and offer some insight into the meaning of this name - and in part, the skin's design - with her followers and fans of the battle royale.

"Not me crying because [Apex Legends and Respawn Entertainment] honoured my 20-year-old cat who recently passed away with a skin in her memory", Newlands began. "Anya's Armor... Thank you [studio operations director Tim Lewinson] and your good heart."

We all know that the Apex Legends devs confirmed that Vantage's bat Echo is "just too cute" to kill, but they didn't really express just how strong this little winged beast is. Ahead of any impactful Apex Legends patch notes, battle royale players are finding out that you can actually balance various items and ultimates on Echo. This means you can make a mobile Heat Shield in the storm circle or, more hilariously, chase your enemies with Horizon's oppressive Black Hole ability. Well, that's just what we've seen online anyway.

One example of this hilarious exploit can be found on r/ApexUncovered, a subreddit dedicated to Apex Legends' leaks, datamines, and exploits. On this very forum, user 'Deusbass' has shared a clip of themselves and another player experimenting with Vantage's Echo Relocation tactical ability and Horizon's Black Hole ultimate ability in Apex Legends' infamous shooting range - a place where almost every exploit is first explored.

In a similar fashion to Gibraltar players placing a Dome of Protection shield on Lifeline's DOC Heal Drone, all players really need to do is balance something like Horizon's Black Hole or the aforementioned Heat Shield on the back of Echo for this exploit to work - at the moment, anyway.

Apex Legends Vantage bug lets you dash like Jett in Valorant

Apex Legends' Vantage has been a relative hit so far in Season 14 - so much so that someone was dedicated enough to reach 1,000 kills with her in only the first 30 hours of the new season. Players are loving her kit, which is a combination of long-range damage with her always active ultimate and interesting movement mechanics thanks to her jetpack and adorable pet bat, Echo.

However, did you know that Vantage can even perform abilities found in rival competitive FPS game Valorant? Well, she can, but it certainly isn't intentional.

Players are quickly mastering how to use a bizarre bug to their advantage, which will result in Vantage performing a rapid sideways dash, much like Valorant's agile duelist Jett. When combined with a double jump as well, you're able to pull off some rather scary-looking movement that would definitely bamboozle an opponent in a close-range gunfight.
