Apex Legends Global Series to host all of its 2023 LANs in London

December 21, 2022 A previous version of this article reported that just the Split 1 Playoffs are to be hosted in London. This has been corrected to show that all three 2023 ALGS LAN events are to be hosted in London.

The Apex Legends Global Series has revealed that all of its 2022/23 season LAN events will be hosted in the same city after announcing the venue for the Split 1 Playoffs in February.

Despite facing criticism over visas and COVID contingencies at its two LAN events last season, the ALGS looks to bounce back in Year 3 of the competition with LANs at the Split 1 and 2 Playoff events, and of course the ALGS Championship. We now know that despite last year's events taking place across two continents, things will be more centralised this year, with all three events taking place in London.

Apex Legends' deadliest one-shot weapon is not what you'd expect

When it boils down to choosing which weapon is the deadliest in Respawn Entertainment's battle royale shooter Apex Legends, there's - more often than not - more than one answer. For players with keen eyes and steady hands, the Kraber is easily the deadliest weapon. Although, if you're someone who's much more effective in a tight spot, you would argue that the R-99 is the deadliest weapon in the game - right? Well, you'll be pleased to know that we're here to settle this little debate once and for all with something that's been available in Apex Legends right from the start. The deadliest weapon in Apex Legends is, of course, the Cargo Bot supply drop.

Now, we know what you're thinking, and you have every right to think it. We must be joking when we say the Cargo Bot supply drop, right? Well, yes - but, actually no. No matter who you're playing as when it comes to our Apex Legends tier list, it looks like - at least for now - that there are Cargo Bot supply drops that will kill you on sight.

Of course, what we're talking about is an Apex Legends bug - at least, we're fairly certain this is a bug and not an intentional feature - that is instantly killing players trying to melee recently dropped Cargo Bot supply drops. It's not something we expect to see fixed in the next set of Apex Legends patch notes, but it's certainly something that needs to be fixed.
