Apex Legends might be getting a heavy rocket launcher in the future

Following the Apex Legends leak hinting at more free emotes for the battle royale, trusted Apex Legends leaker 'KralRindo' is back again with another interesting discovery from the shooter's files. This time around, they have stumbled upon an unreleased weapon model - which was added to the game's files during the Beast of Prey collection event update. While we don't know too much about this new weapon, we do know that it's a heavy rocket launcher - something we haven't seen in-game before.

In a short YouTube video, which you will be able to see for yourself below, KralRindo can be seen showing off the unreleased rocket launcher - named Archer - in-game with Lifeline. Its militaristic design is almost outdated compared to other IMC weapons we see in-game, suggesting it's older technology than other armaments available right now.

Interestingly, it also features a flip-out built-in holographic sight, which might suggest that this is a weapon without any attachment slots. If you're a Titanfall veteran, you'll know this gun very well - it's one of best Anti-Titan weapons available.

This Apex Legends Planet Coaster park took over 18 months to create

Look, we all know that Apex Legends is one of the best battle royale games out there right now. But, what if we took this incredibly popular competitive FPS game and translated it into a theme park? Well, one Planet Coaster expert has done just that - virtually, anyway. Talented theme park constructor and die-hard Apex Legends fan 'DoxNotch' has created Amber Rock Station, an Apex Legends-themed theme park set in a former IMC frontier outpost, in Frontier Development's Planet Coaster and it deserves so much more praise. Not only is that incredible in itself, but it also took DoxNotch a whopping year and a half to put together.

In DoxNotch's incredible Amber Rock Station theme park, players are able to explore and experience 13 attractions based on characters from Respawn Entertainment's free-to-play battle royale shooter - and each one has a little bit of a story to it, too.

For example, take Wattson's Tesla Coiler - one of the first rides you come across when you enter Amber Rock Station. Visually, this ride is themed around Wattson's experimentations, electricity, and tesla coils - as you might already expect. However, DoxNotch explains that the concept behind this virtual experience is that the people riding the Tesla Coiler are actually there to weigh down the ride's spinning cars to help Wattson charge her latest inventions.

Apex Legends Fight or Fright event resurrects Control LTM

Spooky season is almost upon us, and in Apex Legends land, that means a four-week event of sinister skins and some fun limited time modes. As well as Apex's staple Halloween event Shadow Royale coming back for a run on a nighttime Olympus, everybody's favourite LTM that should be a permanent mode, Control, is returning too.

Respawn has revealed the full schedule for the frightening four-week fiesta, and in week three of the event, players will be able to jump into Control for the first time since June. The two-team, objective-based respawn mode has fleetingly appeared in Apex on a few occasions now, and while there have been creases to iron out, players have begged for it to be added to the game as a permanent mode due to it's easy-going, low stakes nature that makes it an excellent warm up for more serious action in Apex Legends ranked.

Control will be played across three of its distinct POI-based maps: Barometer, Lava Siphon, and Hammond Labs (which will be the version in the Olympus After Dark map variant coming in Fight or Fright this year).
