Pre-Order the Dune: Awakening Vinyl Soundtrack!

[p]Greetings Sleepers, [/p][p]The full Dune: Awakening vinyl soundtrack, comprising 24 tracks, will arrive in January 2026, and is now available for pre-order, for £36 / $42. The soundtrack, sold in partnership with Laced Records, and with our own bespoke sleeve artwork, was created by award-winning composer Knut Avenstroup Haugen and was recorded in AIR Studio’s Lyndhurst Hall, the legendary recording studio in London. [/p][p][/p][p]Haugen's soundtrack conjures a planetary sense of scale, capturing Dune's singular blend of science fiction and spiritual tradition. Soaring vocal performances from Clara Sorace, Eurielle and Emília Rovira Alegre center this sense of the sacred, pushing the soundtrack to ecstatic emotional peaks. [/p][p]Seek the shade, Sleepers [/p]

Chapter 2 Free Update and The Lost Harvest DLC

[p]Greetings Sleepers, [/p][p]Change is coming to Arrakis. We’re excited to announce that our Chapter 2 free update and The Lost Harvest DLC, priced at $12.99, will release on September 10th, as revealed in the Into the Infinite Showcase at Gamescom! [/p][p]UPDATE: We have moved the date forward to September 9![/p][p]Today, we will cover what you can expect in the free Chapter 2 Update, the Lost Harvest DLC, as well as a few other events to look out for in the near future. [/p][p]Get a taste of the update and DLC in our announcement trailer! [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Chapter 2 Update (Free)
[p]Our update plan for Dune: Awakening is structured into free major content updates in the form of Books and Chapters, and paid content in the form of DLCs and Expansions. Generally, Chapter Updates will be released in parallel with DLCs. [/p][p][/p][p]Chapter 2 will be our first major content update. Embark on the next chapter of the main story following the sinister revelations at the end of Chapter 1. Explore new locations, meet new and familiar faces, delve deeper into the nature of your origins, and unravel a web that stretches into the darkest corners of the Imperium. [/p][p]Alongside the continuation of the story, Chapter 2 brings several new contracts, new dynamic encounters, new archetype armors, character re-customization, and more. [/p][p][/p]
DLC: The Lost Harvest (Paid)
[p]The Lost Harvest is a paid DLC with a complete standalone storyline. A carryall transporting a Miner’s Guild spice harvester has been shot out of the sky, and its cargo could change everything. Your job is to find it. [/p][p]The DLC also includes several unique cosmetics, including a brand-new vehicle, the Treadwheel, complete with its own unique animations and tier upgrades. The vehicle and other cosmetics provide no material benefit over its base game counterpart. [/p][p]Other cosmetics include several armor and weapon skins, and the Dune Man building set, letting you build bases in the style of those pragmatic and weathered workers of Arrakis. [/p][p][/p][p]The DLC is available for $12.99 and is included in the Season Pass ($24.99), which includes The Lost Harvest DLC and two more major DLCs. The Season Pass is already included in both the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition. We look forward to sharing more details on the DLC. [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The Free Trial is Here!
[p]Earlier today we launched our Free Trial, letting anyone taste the spice of Arrakis for free, for 10 hours, until August 24th. Free Trial characters are unable to play with those who own the game, but they will keep their character’s progress and backpack contents if they purchase the game. [/p][p]The only inaccessible areas are Arrakeen, Harko Village, and the Deep Desert. The entire Hagga Basin is free to explore, with all its varied biomes. Advance through the story, build a base, a vehicle, and explore the vast deserts. In almost every respect, the Free Trial gives you access to everything the full game has to offer. [/p][p]But be warned - once one tastes the spice, and the blue Eyes of Ibad start to take hold, one becomes bound to Arrakis forever. [/p][p]Get the full details on the Free Trial here. [/p][p][/p]
In-Game Event
[p]Changes are coming to Arrakis earlier than you may think! Before Chapter 2 arrives, you will experience a new conflict that leads into the major update. We’ll have more to share on this soon. [/p][p][/p]
Developer Livestream
[p]We’ll be doing a deeper dive into the contents of both the free update and the DLC in a livestream featuring our community managers and developers. Keep your eye on our channels for when we announce the date and time. [/p][p][/p]
Soundtrack Vinyl Pre-Orders Now Live
[p]The full Dune: Awakening vinyl soundtrack, including two bonus-tracks, is now available for pre-order! US here and anywhere else here.[/p][p]The soundtrack was created by award-winning composer Knut Avenstroup Haugen and was recorded in AIR Studio’s Lyndhurst Hall, the legendary recording studio in London. [/p][p]We look forward to sharing more news as we approach the launch of Chapter 2. [/p][p]Seek the shade, Sleepers [/p]

Free Trial Now Live!

[p]Greetings Sleepers,[/p][p]The Dune: Awakening Free Trial is now available! Until August 24th, anyone can download the game on Steam and play for 10 hours.[/p][p][/p][p]In the interest of making the experience of getting consumed by Shai-Hulud more accessible to all – we are incredibly excited to open the planet up for a limited time. We have also made it possible for a character’s progress to get transferred if you buy the game during or after the Trial.[/p][p][/p][p]Let's go over what the Free Trial encompasses in detail.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Play for free for 10 hours until August 24th. The timer only progresses when you are playing.[/p]
  • [p]Explore the entirety of Hagga Basin! Only Harko Village, Arrakeen, and the Deep Desert are unavailable.[/p]
  • [p]Keep your progress if you buy the game! More details below.[/p]
  • [p]Free Trial characters will play on dedicated Free Trial servers, meaning they may encounter other Free Trial players, but not those who have purchased the game.[/p]
    • [p]NOTE: If you upgrade to the full game, you can pick and continue on any server within the World (group of servers) you first chose for your Trial character. Therefore, if you have friends already playing the full game, make sure to pick the World they’re on for your Free Trial character.[/p]
  • [p]Get rewards when you buy the game.[/p]
    • [p]The Desert Mechanic cosmetic items are unlocked when you buy the game during or after the trial. These cosmetics are also available to existing players at in-game vendors.  [/p]
    • [p]Get a bundle of basic materials when you buy the game, to help you quickly rebuild your base. [/p]
[p][/p][p]As we mentioned, character progress is kept if you purchase the game. We want to be completely clear about what that includes and doesn’t include, however.[/p]
  • [p]The following is transferred when going from Free Trial to purchased game:[/p]
    • [p]Character journey progress, level, skill and tech points[/p]
    • [p]Character backpack contents[/p]
  • [p]The following is not transferred when going from Free Trial to purchased game: [/p]
    • [p]Your base (although if you progress very quickly, you can blueprint your base and keep that). [/p]
    • [p]Vehicles (this too can be circumvented by backing it up with a vehicle backup tool). [/p]
    • [p]More than 10,000 Solaris.[/p][p][/p]
[p]Invite your friends, Sleepers, to the crucible of Arrakis. Let them find their way. We’ll leave you with a quote from Dune:[/p][p]“A poison - so subtle, so insidious... so irreversible. It won't even kill you unless you stop taking it. We can't leave Arrakis unless we take part of Arrakis with us."[/p]
