After Funcom have patched Dune: Awakening quite a few times since release, the experience on Steam Deck is now good enough that it's been Steam Deck Verified.

Dune Awakening dev apologizes for radio silence as new roadmap arrives

It's been a tough post-launch period for Dune Awakening. Despite Funcom's best efforts to ensure the sandworms are the only bug-adjacent entities players have to worry about, its bold new MMO has been riddled with issues from the off. I'm not surprised there have been teething problems considering the sheer scope of its undertaking, but the studio's consistently risen to the challenges it's faced. While the game may not be in a perfect state, its new roadmap offers a promising look ahead.

[p]The volume of Cobalt Paste has been reduced from 1.0 to 0.5.[/p]
[p]Removed the UI visual showing server language on the server browser.[/p]
[p]Further improved server and client stability[/p]

[p]Addressed gaps in Deep Desert Shield Wall landscapes.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue that caused starter abilities to be reset to level 1, causing players to lose skill points.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue that caused the player to enter “free look” camera mode on a black screen, or a completely black screen, if travel was refused by the server.[/p]
[p]Ground vehicles can now be suspended by patrol ships.[/p]
[p]Fixed a bug that caused detonating deployables to be stuck on cooldown when entering a vehicle.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue where a player could spawn falling under the terrain instead of on the correct respawn location in Hagga Basin.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue where players would fall indefinitely if they fell through the map. Now you should be put on top of terrain, if you fell down through the mesh.[/p]

Dune: Awakening is Steam Deck Verified!
