Regarding the Dune Man Building Pieces

[p]First, big thanks to everyone who jumped into Chapter 2 and the Lost Harvest DLC yesterday and who took the time to share your thoughts with us.[/p][p][/p][p]We realize that our communication around the contents of the DLC has not been clear enough. The Lost Harvest DLC has a variety of content, with the focus being on the new side story and the Treadwheel, but the way the Dune Man building pieces were communicated created expectations that it would be a full building set rather than what was our intention: four new pieces to supplement the base game building sets.[/p][p][/p][p]We understand the disappointment some of you have shared, and to rectify that, we will work on creating more Dune Man building pieces that we’ll make available to all owners of the Lost Harvest DLC. We’re looking at adding around 15 more pieces and we aim to have these available late September or early October.[/p][p][/p][p]Some of you were asking if we were planning on releasing additional Dune Man building pieces via Twitch Drops. No, that was never the plan. Those campaigns have their own exclusive rewards.[/p][p][/p][p]While we’re on the topic of Twitch Drops, we can also share that we plan to make all (including past) Twitch Drops obtainable in the game and we’ll provide more details about that when ready. As with many other games, Twitch Drops are important for us to support the creator ecosystem and give the game more visibility on the Twitch platform. But, while these are free rewards available to everyone, we understand not everyone wants to or have the time to watch live streams and we want to make sure those people also get access to these items in-game sometime after the Twitch Drops campaign concludes.[/p][p][/p][p]Once again, thank you for spending time with Chapter 2 and the Lost Harvest DLC, and please keep sharing your thoughts with us. We’ll keep you updated on all the above.[/p]

Dune Awakening's first paid DLC adds the funkiest vehicle I've ever seen

Like the planet Arrakis itself, Dune is a story ripe for mining. The number of stories you can tell in Frank Herbert's incredibly rich universe are immeasurable, and I'm glad Dune Awakening is allowing players to create their own, emergent narratives on the desert planet. The game had a mixed reception at launch, one that developer Funcom is keen to repair with the release of a free update and paid DLC story, which are both available now.

Chapter 2 Highlights
Continue Your Story
[p]Following the sinister revelations in Act 3, you must now continue your journey. Meet new and familiar characters, explore new locations, investigate brutal murders, and delve deeper into the past as you unravel a web that stretches into the darkest corners of the Imperium. [/p][p][/p]
Character Re-Customization
[p]Visit Arrakeen or Harko Village at any time to re-customize your character using the advanced and unnatural methods of the Suk and the Tleilaxu. Fashion the flesh to suit your whim. [/p][p][/p]
New Hairstyles & Tattoos
[p]New trends from across the Imperium eventually find their way even to Arrakis. Explore four new hairstyles and five new tattoos. Don't expose those to the sun. [/p][p][/p]
Arrakeen and Harko Village Contracts
[p]Discover new characters in the social hubs with stories to tell and contracts to offer. Make money working as a bouncer, get goods through customs, and more! [/p][p][/p]
Archetype Armors
[p]Complete the advanced trainer contracts to earn the five new archetype armor sets, styled according to each Great School of the Imperium, such as the Bene Gesserit or the Mentat Order. Let people see what you are and what you can do. [/p][p][/p]
Rename Storage Containers
[p]The spice must flow! Increase your base’s efficiency and organization with the new renaming functionality, available for storage containers, vehicles, and some placeables. [/p][p][/p]
More Dynamic Encounters
[p]We continue adding more variety to the deserts of Arrakis. Take on assassination contracts and come across new temporary merchants in the wilderness. [/p][p][/p]
Auto-Run Toggle
[p]With the press of a button you can now toggle auto-run. This also works for vehicles, letting you cruise across the sand with ease. It won’t stop the worm from eating you though. [/p][p][/p]
More Reliable Ornithopter Rockets
[p]Firing rockets from an ornithopter is now a far better experience overall. The rockets are more accurate and fire where you are aiming. The skies are yours, Sleeper. [/p][p][/p]
Combat Improvements
[p]Long live the fighters! Enemies will now generally react quicker, such as when activating their Holtzman shields. Sprint attacks are easier to aim when there are clusters of enemies, and there’s a new graphical effect when dashing out of a stagger. See the full list in the patch notes. [/p][p][/p]
Deep Desert Borders Removed
[p]We have removed the quicksand between sectors in the Deep Desert, allowing you to cross these borders on foot and in ground vehicles. In addition, abilities, weapons, and combat overall works across sectors, and crossing these borders should no longer cause disconnects and hitching. [/p][p][/p]
Deep Desert Variety
[p]The Deep Desert is ever-changing. We have added new Deep Desert layouts for more variety and increased rock island density across the board, giving more access to building space for new bases. [/p][p][/p]
New Missile Launcher Tier
[p]A new duraluminium-tier missile launcher has been added, letting you defend against ornithopters at an earlier stage. Unlock it in the research menu and fill the sky with fire. [/p][p][/p]
Synced Loot Boxes & NPCs
[p]Various loot containers in PvP areas now respawn at the same time as related NPCs, improving the Deep Desert and shipwreck looting experience. [/p][p][/p]
Assault Ornithopter Capacity
[p]Inventory slots on the assault ornithopter have been increased from 15 to 20, and volume from 1,000 to 2,000.
