Cockwork Industries Complete v5.0: 5th Anniversary Edition

v5.0 (Cockwork Industries Complete 5th Anniversary Edition) is a soft remaster that comes with improved animations and sex scenes, a reworked gallery and unlockables system, many other improvents under the hood as well as Simplified Chinese and Polish language versions.

  • Sex scenes and dialogue animations were remastered and converted from sprite-based animations to movies, greatly improving their fluidity.
  • Frame rates for sprite-based character animations in locations and foreplay sequences were greatly improved.
  • Sex scenes now have synchronized sound effects.
  • Personnel Files and Secret Archives menus were replaced with Gallery and Achievements menus respectively.
  • Gallery now contains all visual content (images and animations) available in the game.
  • Options menu was added containing language selection, particle effects toggle, fullscreen / windowed mode toggle and master volume setting.
  • Pause menu [ESC] now has access to Load Game, Gallery, Achievements and Options menus.
  • Simplified Chinese and Polish language versions were added.
  • Gallery entries can now be unlocked in Simplified Mode.
  • Steam achievements are now automatically unlocked as they are achieved in-game.
  • Game Guide was temporarily removed in order to be updated.
  • Many small improvements were made and bugs fixed.

Cockwork Industries Complete 5th Anniversary Edition

We're happy to unveil Cockwork Industries Complete v5.0, also known as the 5th Anniversary Edition, which is now available as a free update to the game!

The 5th Anniversary Edition is a soft remaster comes with improved animations and sex scenes, a reworked gallery and unlockables system and many other improvements under the hood.

On top of that, the game is now available two additional language versions: Simplified Chinese and Polish.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of changes, old save files from versions prior to 5.0 are not compatible with this new update. If you wish to finish your old playthrough and your game has already been updated to v5.0, you can roll the game back to version 4.19 using the "legacy" beta branch by going Cockwork Industries Complete page in your Steam library, click the cog icon -> "Properties" -> "Betas" and choosing "legacy" from the "Beta Participation" dropdown menu.

Previously unlocked gallery entries and achievements will remain unlocked in this version, however, all gallery entries that were previously not available in gallery will now have to be unlocked by playing through the game again.

Since there was a lot of work done under the hood, some new bugs may occasionally occur. Should you encounter one, please report in in the 5th Anniversary Edition Bug Megathread,

Our plans for nearest future

Hi everyone.

In this post I'd like to update you on our plans for the future.

There are currently three projects in our pipeline - Countess in Crimson DLC, an unannounced visual novel game and a small surprise project.

The Countess in Crimson DLC will expand on the story of the game introducing new storylines, three new romance options, new sex scenes for existing girls, new locations, etc. It will not continue the game's main plot, but rather add additional side stories parallel to the main one. Expect an official announcement with first preview later this month.

The unannounced visual novel game is our first game developed in Unity. Because of this, it's a smaller and less complex game by design and will serve as an entry point for us to streamline our Unity workflow for bigger projects. This doesn't mean, of course, it will be any less fun 🙂. The game will be officially announced quite soon, possibly this month as well.

The surprise project is, well... a surprise, so you'll have to wait and see what it is 😉.

Finally, let's talk about the elephant in the room, the game most of you forgot but some are still curious about - Forbidden Curiosities.

Development for Forbidden Curiosities is currently on hold. It's not cancelled, but we still haven't decided what exactly we want to do with it and we may eventually have to make a tough decision to abandon it.
The fact is, we announced it too early, before the game's core was prepared. Soon after, we decided we wouldn't be able to develop two games simultaneously and focused on developing Countess in Crimson. Once CiC was out, we made a decision to switch to Unity for future games and that also hindered FB's development, which we already started developing in Visionaire Studio.
We'll make a final decision on Forbidden Curiosities after we finish our current projects.
