Patch 4.10: Birthday Girl Andrea dialogue skin
As a final content update to Cockwork Industries we're adding dialogue skins to the game for all love interests. These skins, when active, will change the character's appearance in dialogue animations and portraits.
The first dialogue skin we're introducing is Birthday Girl Andrea, which can be picked up by clicking the ribbon item in the Office:
Upon pickup, a bonus "tease" animation showcasing the skin will also play out. Dialogue skins for remaining characters will be added over time.
Before any of you ask, the fact we're adding dialogue skins does not mean we'll be able to add a white protagonist "skin" to the game. There's a reason why we're only changing the characters' appearance in dialogues and not during sex scenes, endings, etc. To add those dialogue skins we already had to roll back some of our development tools to the versions we no longer use, but we decided it's worth it as a token of gratitude to the community. We are well aware of the demand for a white protagonist and it's something we'll certainly have in mind while working on our future games.

The dialogue skins are the final content we'll be adding to Cockwork Industries. While we were also considering adding some additional language versions to the game, under current circumstances it proved to be too difficult and we made a hard decision to abandon this idea. While we are blown-away and humbled by the visible demand for additional languages, it isn't something we were prepared for.
We know it's disappointing to many of you but one thing you have to understand is that Digital Seductions is essentially a micro two-man development team with limited resourced both in terms of budgets and workforce. Cockwork Industries was made on a minimal budget and languages other than English were never a consideration prior to the Steam release and we have no localization workflows in place.
Having said that, being on Steam allows up to steadily grow and we'd like to use this opportunity to bring you games with more features, language options, better visuals and audio in the future. We're planning to add some additional language versions to the games we're currently developing, though the choice of languages is yet to be determined. We know we have a lot of fans in China, Japan and South Korea but Asian languages are sadly out of the question for the foreseeable future due to engine limitations.
