Beta 383 Changelog | Release Candidate
This is a release candidate build, and is likely to go to the live branch.

CHANGES SINCE LAST BETA

CHANGES
• Removed: Highlighting of Window Toolbar settings in the Tutorial helper. I believe that it was redundant and only caused a bit of confusion as to why you were led to that menu with a dead end. Users can parse what a settings gear is, there is no need to help with that.

 • Added: "Allow Movement" toggle to the "Wrist" tab in the Settings menu. This allows you to turn off the ability to grab and move the wrist.
BUG FIXES
• Fixed: Many instances of the Tutorial button highlighting getting broken and leaving buttons highlighted indefinitely. This should no longer happen.
CHANGES FROM LIVE

CHANGES
• Added: Small animation to desktop window to ensure that users put on the headset to see the overlay.

 • Added: New Settings Tab "Experimental." This tab will contain experimental settings, and a description of what each one does.

 • Added: Force Higher Quality Overlay Rendering option to the "Experimental" tab in Settings.

 • Added: Experimental Option, Input blocking. This just automates the process of turning on the global overlay input blocking system through SteamVR settings. This option will allow XSO to take control of input exclusively while Layout Mode is open, preventing input to the background application.

 • Added: New contextual tutorial. This will only play once, and is aimed to help new and old users alike, as it will intuitively guide you through how to use the basic functions of the overlay.

 • Added: "Allow Movement" toggle to the "Wrist" tab in the Settings menu. This allows you to turn off the ability to grab and move the wrist.

 • Added: Plugin front-end. This is not currently accessible to the end user, and will be expanded in the future.
