Holovision update: Version 0.19.1 now live

Hi everyone! Version 0.19.2 is now live!

Full changelog as follows below.
Over 50 (!) new animations
This is a tremendous amount of work, but I was able to add over 50 new sex animations into the game (although some are just variations of faces).

At the start of dev I had planned on staying just with the pixel-art due to time constraints (new animations are a lot of work, sometimes the majority of work for adult games). However, due to the large demand for line-art animations, I decided to add some as a bonus, and will be continuing to add them depending on reception.

For those of you who prefer the pixel-art animations, don’t worry, those are not going anywhere. My plan moving forward is to keep the pixel-art animations as essentially the “story mode” of sexual encounters, while the new line-art animations will be “free mode.”

Most or all romanceable characters will have at least one “story-mode” scene that serves as the player’s first sexual encounter with them. After that, the new line-art animations will be unlocked.

Scenes added in this upcoming update:

For Kore, Kaywin, Thassia

 • Giving Handjob x3 (Male PC only)
 • Giving Blowjob x4 (Male PC only)
 • Doggy x4
 • Missionary x4
 • Receiving Oral x3
 • Side by side x4
 • Titfuck x 4 (Male PC only)

Hatsuo

 • Receiving Oral x4
 • Lap sex x4
 • Giving Oral x 3 (Female PC only, for now)

(Keep in mind that Kaywin is hetrosexual, so she will continue to turn down female PCs. Everyone else in this update is bisexual.)

What’s different in the new animations?

Well, you’ll soon find out, but if you’ve played a sex/h-game before, you won’t be surprised. Unlike the pixel-art animations, the new animations are a notable detour from the current art style, and to aid in speed (so these updates don’t take months) they will be in black and white with some other minor shortcuts. With that being said, I’d like to thank TORii, a self-taught animator, for providing the new sets. Please let us know what you think of the animations so we can better our craft.

You can access the new animations/Free Mode by having completed at least one story sexual encounter with that companion, and also being able to take them up to a room (so after the initial series of quests).
Lore books
Those who played my last game may be surprised by the lack of lore books and other documentation, but that is coming to a close. I am adding a new care package in the player’s room at the guild hall that will shed some more light on the Guild as well as the city’s other prominent factions. Another basic lore package can be found at Pike's Library, an overworld location that opens up once the player has reached 20 Esteem. Talking to Pike a second time will unlock a "books" option.

In future updates, lore books will be purchasable at Pike’s Library.

Books can be read in your "Journal" in the main menu.
Television
I’m also adding in a television that the player can interact with to learn more of the world and MoonFall. Just to help with immersion. One has been added to the player's room, and one in the garage.

The television is mostly text (I wish I had the money to commission GTA-style cartoons, that would be wonderful), and will give the player some "current events" background. Once we move into Act II, the player's actions may alter what is reported on the news.
New Steam trading cards
We've finally added a smattering of trading cards, as I know some of you have been asking for them since the beginning of dev. Will think about adding more as development continues.
Expanded player's private room and Diana's room
Mostly to fit the television and a few other things. Added an option to wash up in your bathroom (hard to see in isometric mode).
Bugfixes
Due to a technical issue, I had to revert most of my bugfixes for this update, but look for a patch soon.

Sneak peek for the June update

Hi everyone! This month’s update includes the long-anticipated new sex scenes, lore books, and interactable televisions (more on that later). Expect the update to drop sometime next week.

New sex animations

The new sex animations comprise the bulk of this update, and I’m adding a lot. At the start of dev I had planned on staying just with the pixel-art due to time constraints (new animations are a lot of work, sometimes the majority of work for adult games). However, due to the large demand for line-art animations, I decided to add some as a bonus, and will be continuing to add them depending on reception.

 • Doggy x4
 • Missionary x4
 • Receiving Oral x3
 • Side by side x4
 • Titfuck x 4 (Male PC only)

Hatsuo

 • Receiving Oral x5
 • Lap sex x4
 • Giving Oral x 4 (Female PC only, for now)

(Keep in mind that Kaywin is hetrosexual, so she will continue to turn down female PCs. Everyone else in this update is bisexual.)

What’s different in the new animations?

As always, the full changelog will come with the update’s release.
New Content
New enemies

Several new enemies have been added to hostile encounters in the overworld map.

New Hosting contracts

A new type of contract available in the overworld, players are tasked with entertaining a VIP for one of MoonFall’s factions. Running a Guild Hall is never easy, and anything can happen. From being involved in attempted assassinations to getting invited to the odd orgy, it’s your job to make sure the VIP has a good time.

And presumably leave your Guild Hall alive.

New Faction-specific Contracts

Once you reach a certain point in a faction quest chain (usually pretty early on), that faction’s overworld HQ will open Faction-specific Contracts for you.

Faction-specific Contracts allow you to earn more Credits, Esteem and faction reputation than regular or hosting contracts, but are generally more difficult to complete.

There is a short planning phase where players can try to even their odds by spending resources, and then an execution phase where the player determines what types of tactics they will use. The method of execution will result in bonuses depending on the type of enemy they face. For example, more cautious tactics generally work better against better-trained mercenaries, whereas shock and awe are effective against low-level street thugs.

 • Stormbreakers - Bodyguard contracts
 • Iron Cartel - Heist contracts
 • Old Watch - Bounty contracts
 • Travelers Mandate - Monster Hunt Contracts

New Items!

All existing items have been rebalanced and modified.

I have also expanded the game’s gun shop from just selling a few items to a much wider array of weapons, armor and mods. Most weapons will give your character a new skill reflective of the weapon’s class. For example, submachine guns will give the Running Cover skill, which increases your move points and make you slightly harder to hit.

 • New gun categories include pistols, smgs, flechette guns, rifles, assault rifles, SMART guns, and more!
 • New melee categories include knives, swords, axes, polearms, hammers and more.
 • Added channels - weapons that only Shapers can use.
 • Additionally, shields have been added to the game.
 • New armor is also available. Light armor will increase your move points while heavy armor will lower it (but provide much better protection).
 • Mods can now be purchased, allowing you to add attachments to guns, melee weapons and armor.

Lastly, I have added three body augmentations to Golgo’s Shop.

I will continue adding new equipment and augmentations throughout development, so the current roster of items is only the tip of the iceberg.

New location - Pike’s Library

Added a new mysterious location on the overworld map that will appear once the player reaches 20 Esteem. It’s a bit of a mysterious place with more functions that will be unlocked as dev continues. As its name suggests, the Library will be a source of world lore once that gets added to the game.
