Deadly Night - No Escape News

Major Update 0.6.9
Greetings Fellow Screamers,
[p]
First, we would like to apologize for the long wait. It has been so long that it felt like abandonware for most of you. We had struggles and our studio is trying so hard to survive. However, it's finally here! Deadly Night - No Escape (DNNE) has been fully remade on Unreal Engine 5.6 with nanite support. We're also happy to announce to our amazing community that there's an entirely new underground level waiting for you to explore it.

There's so much new content in DNNE and improved visuals, as well as smoother gameplay. We also have slightly refined the forest map and expanded it even further.

More updates to come. We will not have an update schedule, so expect an update to drop at any moment. We are trying to get a fixed schedule, so stay tuned for more updates.

Thank you for being a part of DNNE and its community.

Best regards,
SilverDam™ Development Team[/p]

An Honest Update from the Developer

Hey everyone,

I want to take a moment to be completely honest with you all. As the sole developer of World of Islands and the co-developer of Deadly Night - No Escape, I’ve poured my heart into these projects since I was 17. Game development has always been my passion, and I’ve done everything I could to bring these games to life with the limited skills I have.

However, life hasn’t been easy. Over the past months (or years), I’ve struggled with depression and personal challenges that have made it incredibly difficult to stay motivated and keep working at the pace I once did. I never intended to abandon World of Islands or Deadly Night - No Escape. The vision for both games is clear, and there’s so much planned, so much passion behind them. But without the motivation to move forward, everything has felt like it’s collapsing.

For Deadly Night - No Escape, I have a friend working alongside me, but we’ve always been like a right and left arm, one can’t function properly without the other. Because of my struggles, development on that project has stalled as well.

That said, I haven’t completely stepped away. I recently finished writing World of Islands’ full story and included it as a free novel with the Early Access version. Unfortunately, I’ve received reports that some players are unable to find or download it, and I’ll do my best to fix that as soon as possible.

To everyone who has supported these games, waited for updates, and believed in what I’m building, I’m truly sorry for letting you down. I deeply appreciate your patience and understanding. I don’t know when I’ll be able to fully return to development, but please know that I still care about these games and the people who enjoy them.

Thank you for sticking with me.

Deadly Night is Changing Course
Greetings to the awesome community of Deadly Night
We're very sorry that we did not release any updates since the announcement of remaking Deadly Night using the new engine UE5. After careful consideration and weeks put into remaking Deadly Night, we decided to change course and remake Deadly Night in an entirely new setting. Deadly Night was on its way to becoming a great Open-World Puzzle Horror Game. However, the development team decided to make Deadly Night more immersive, more cinematic, and more story rich.

Our studio collapsed at some point and now it's back and we're rebuilding it and making it grow, with your help.

After the release of the remake, the current existing release of Deadly Night will remain as an archived beta accessible to those who still want to experience it.

Thank you for being a part of our game and our community. We value your feedback and you're the most important part of this project.

Best Regards

Work on Deadly Night is Resumed!

Greetings to the awesome community of Deadly Night

I'm very sorry we've not released any updates for the past 3 years. Issues happened within the studio and the Deadly Night project was suspended until we had enough programmers. Due to lack of suitable equipment as well as lack of programmers/coders, we couldn't resume working on the game.
That is until this week, we are finally going to resume working on the Deadly Night project. However, due to technical issues, we will be remaking Deadly Night using the latest Unreal Engine 5.

Thank you for being a part of our game and our community.

Best Regards
