The Degenerate Update

SAY HELLO TO THE DEGENERATES!

The degenerates are finally here and they're about to ruin your day!
In order to make the gameplay more challenging once you've got employees doing all the work for you, we've introduced the degenerates.

So who are the degenerates you ask? Well, they're the worst of the worst: crackheads, bath salts dealers, and the biggest POS of all: the snitch.
CRACKHEADS
Crackheads will turn up at night and try to steal any merch they can get their hands on for a quick flip. They're sneaky and pretty quick so either keep your Bum Basher on standby or hire extra security.
BATH SALTS DEALERS
The dealers will poach your customers up and down the boardwalk while peddling their s**t and slowly chipping away at that customer loyalty stat you've worked so hard to build up.
THE SNITCH
Salty about the lack of influencers and dumber than a bag of d***s, the snitch will try to scare your customers away by making BS accusations about your shop, which will ultimately hurt your respect stats.

To help you deal with a new set of challenges posed by the degenerates we've added more higher-tier employees and a couple of new melee weapons to your arsenal.

OTHER CHANGES

Degenerates aside, we've also made some significant changes to the codebase and the NPC model generation, which should help improve performance on lower-end PCs. We've rebalanced the wack quality settings for better visuals while at the same time reducing the video memory usage as well.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Twitcher app is still a work in progress at the moment, we're still adding and testing features on a small scale. If everything goes according to plan we should have it ready for the general public by the end of the month. We've also begun work on the trippy events and sidequests that should make the daily grind less grindy... We'll be busting those out one at a time as soon as we got something ready!

Stay tuned! ːws_peaceː

F*** S*** U*

In case you were wondering why we had 10 patches out in the last 4 days that had 0 new content, well it's because we decided to refactor and optimize the old codebase. The whole process brought back a whole batch of old bugs and introduced a bunch of new ones as well... which then took days to fix.

While we'd rather work on new content or even eat dumpster tacos, refactoring was a necessary evil in order to prepare the game for what's to come and improve performance on under-specced systems.

Also, in order to reduce the instances of customers and staff getting stuck because of the more elaborate higher-end shop layouts, we made some major changes to the animation and navigation logic. Hopefully, the new AI will have a positive impact on your shop's customer flow, and, if it doesn't, make sure to let us know on Discord ːws_damanː

Stay tuned!

Monthly Update #3

The grind don't stop...

It's been three months since the EA launch and this thing is not getting any easier dammit ːws_smileyfaceː
We are moving forward though. Now with the staff out, retweaked, and mostly functional, we started work on the next stage of the game- the crazy sh**t ːws_damanː

While it's going to take at least a couple of weeks to get most of it ready, we'll be releasing incremental updates on the main branch on a regular basis till then. As long as we don't get bogged down with some major bugs or other issues, like today, we should have some new content out as soon as this week!

Stay tuned and happy 4th of July to everyone... who um believes... in July!

Ignore The Burrito

HERE'S WHAT'S NEW SINCE THE LAST PATCH NOTES:

 • Added an option to turn the TVs off and reload the last visited page when loading into the game.
 • Due to a lot of confusion, we made Auto Scale UI the default option, however, you can still change to manual scaling in the options menu
 • Improved the sales staff counter selection logic
 • Improved the Merch Managers' display refilling logic
 • Fixed a glitch causing employees to get stuck when changing jobs
 • Fixed a couple of missing collider issues
 • Optimized weed plants and the rain system... hopefully ;)

As for Yesterday's Burrito, the app is still a work in progress and there aren't any codes hidden in the game yet so you can stop looking for now ːws_damanː
