Happy Cinco De Mayo!

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO EVERYONE!


First things first, no this is not another seasonal event update. While it would've been cool to add a Cinco Demayo Special to our slowly-growing list of seasonal events, we're currently working on a few bigger things and need all the development hours we can get in order to get them done sooner rather than later.

This week's been pretty crazy as we had one of the game's core subsystems silently fail, which resulted in a plethora of unrelated bug reports. It took a couple of days of trial and error to get to the root of the issue and get it worked out, but we should be good now.

Also, the same steam glitch that took our game offline on 420 returned in force on May 2-3rd, and, once again, made our game unavailable on the Steam Store. Luckily, this time, it wasn't an isolated incident as a lot of AAA titles got hit as well, so the issue got resolved much faster.


WHAT'S NEW


ːws_peaceː Added an optional straight-to-the-point tutorial since some of you really "loved" original ːws_damanː

ːws_peaceː Increased base extract production quantities and added new higher tier press bags and decarb capsules.

ːws_peaceː Fixed all the issues with the Trippy Events. Yes, we know, we said we did it in the last patch, and now we look like a bunch of holes, but the trippy event issues were related to the subsystem failure, as mentioned earlier, and took a total of 3 days to get sorted out.

ːws_peaceː Updated the InfluGram App to give relevant information for those running on Barebones and wondering where the influencers have gone.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the lag caused by the influencers getting ready to do their influencer stuff for the first time when leveling up to level 30.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the bug causing the main menu to fail if an autosave is in progress.

ːws_peaceː Did some other stuff too, but we're not gonna bore you on Cinco De Mayo, you probably have better things to do ːws_damanː

By the way, some people have been freaking out about the game updating multiple times a day. This is mainly because we release minor patches, add-ons, and fixes whenever they're needed or finished.
IT'S KIND OF OUR THING ːws_damanː If this prevents you from enjoying the game. feel free to turn off the "Auto Update" option for Weed Shop 3 and manually update the game whenever you're ready for something new.


COMING UP


Currently, we have a whole bunch of things in progress, and a suggestion list longer than Justice League... Damn that was one long**s movie ːws_damanː However, the main focus right now is on getting the early game progression curve rebalanced and less grindy, and adding the wholesale mechanics to increase the cash flow mid-game so you can afford all the stuff you want sooner.

But for today, we're gonna eat some tequila and drink some dumpster tacosːws_damanː

501 Patch Notes

Here's what's new since the last patch notes:

ːws_peaceː Fixed all the mess with the hybrid combinations and names. Sorry about the xBreed data reset, but that was the last one.

429 Patch Notes

Here's what's new since the last patch notes:

ːws_peaceː xBreed App V1 has been added to all the lab PCs to help you keep track of (and rename) all the discovered Hybrid strains. A lab PC is required... oh yeah also a lab.

ːws_peaceː New hybrid strains to discover and.... uh grow.

ːws_peaceː Un-nerfed the bong smoking mechanics. Get just as high as you did before the last patch 5x faster.

ːws_peaceː Balanced out street dealing mechanics when selling extracts.

ːws_peaceː Fixed Sellify App's sales % discrepancies.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the camerar head bob setting being ignored when rolling joints.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the reverse always sunny cycle.

ːws_peaceː Moved the lawn at the outdoor grow field.

427 Patch Notes

Today's patch is all about rebalancing and bugfixes:

ːws_peaceː @Cobretti137 & @StonyMike managed to do the impossible and rebalanced all the late-game values. Now breeding hybrids, pressing dabs, and selling carts actually makes financial sense! Cart production also unlocks as soon as you get the lab.

ːws_peaceː The office chair from hell now triggers the Burnout Bowling event, just like the wheelchair except that you don't have to die to use it.

ːws_peaceː Getting high smoking bongs is much faster now while joints & blunts take a little longer to kick.

ːws_peaceː Multiple menu issues, such as mouse scroll not working and tiles not appearing, have been addressed.

ːws_peaceː The menu background blur is now an optional toggle in the options menu as is the camera head bob effect. Hopefully, this will increase the fps and decrease your nausea and not the other way around.

ːws_peaceː The clothing racks and postcard stands that from time to time were kicked into your store by stoned customers are now static objects. Now your customers can get stuck outside ːws_damanː

ːws_peaceː The Dude Jr. will now reappear as soon as you hit 45, running up and down the boardwalk is no longer required. You can still do it anyway, it's your game.

ːws_peaceː And the ghost harvest particles should now be a thing of the past... we hope ːws_damanː

426 Patch Notes

Here's what's new since the last patch:

ːws_peaceː Fixed the super-illusive and hopefully last Metal Rolling Table glitch.

ːws_peaceː Reconfigured the Metal Packaging Table to package three joints at the time just like the rolling table.

ːws_peaceː Added real-time lights to all the grow setup light components. The lights are off by default and can be toggled on in the Graphics section of the options menu. Be warned though, that they will put additional stress on your GPU so if you're barely getting 60 fps as is, it's probably wise to leave them off.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the possessed office chair from hell, for those who like to go fassssst.

ːws_peaceː Added outdoor grow watering can upgrades.

ːws_peaceː Added new grow field lights. They're fully automatic and synced up to the day & night cycle.

ːws_peaceː Fixed an oversight with the Dump Yo' Junk App that allowed players to sell their lab keys and, in turn, lose access to their production labs.
