Season 5 - Moonlight Race Begins:
- Season 5 Duration:

- Time Attack Rankings, Season Best, and other seasonal content will be reset.
- When the season ends, there will be an Off-Season until the beginning of the next season.
- This Off-Season is a rest period until the beginning of the next season, with no season content such as Racing Passes or Daily/Premium Challenges.
- Replays before the start of Season 5 will be reset.
Season 5 Racing Pass
- Complete Daily and Premium Challenges during the Racing Pass period to level up the pass (Max Level: 40)
- Weekly and Event Challenges have also been added for all Racers to help level up your Racing Pass.
- Premium Racing Pass Rewards are available upon purchase of the Premium Racing Pass.
Season 5 Decal Market
- The Decal Market will be cleared, and only newly listed Decals for Season 5 can be favorited and downloaded.
- The top 60 most popular decals from Season 4 will be maintained and be on display in the Season 4 Top 60 tab.
- Decals from weeks where the season promotion evaluation was still in progress will also be maintained.
- Grand Prix Active Periods:
- The KartRider: Drift Grand Prix will be available during the following periods:
- 1:00 AM - 5:00 AM UTC (4 hours)
- 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM UTC (4 hours)
- 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM UTC (3 hours)
- The KartRider: Drift Grand Prix will be available during the following periods:
- Participation Requirement: B2 License Earned
- Modes: Item Grand Prix (Squad), Speed Grand Prix (Solo)
- Note: Only solo-queueing is available for both Item and Speed Grand Prix
- The top 100 Racers from the Season 4 Grand Prix in both modes will be added to the Hall of Fame.
- Qualifying Race:
- Racers who have not joined the Grand Prix during the season will participate in five Qualifying Races.
- The current season's Grand Prix rank will be determined based on the Qualifying Race results, as well as the previous season's Grand Prix GPP points (Placement Rank: Bronze III - Gold III).
- Racers rank Silver II and below (0 - 1,999 GPP) will earn additional GPP based on their accumulated GPP.
- Changes from Season 4:
- The rank for which Win Streak Bonuses stop applying has been changed (Grandmaster → Master).
- Grand Prix Solo Matchmaking has been changed:
- Races can now start with fewer than 8 Racers, depending on the wait time for matchmaking (minimum of 2).
- GPP Points changes will be reduced based on the number of matched players, and the Win Streak Bonus criteria have been adjusted as follows:
- 7-8 Racers: 3rd Place or higher.
- 5-6 Racers: 2nd Place or higher.
- 2-4 Racers: 1st Place.
- Matching Criteria for Squad Item Grand Prix has been expanded to allow for Racers in a greater score range to be matched together, to reduce wait
Season 5 Grand Prix Rewards
- When the Grand Prix season ends, rewards will be distributed based on the Racer's place overall and their Grand Prix Rank.
- Note: Racers must Finish in at least 10 Grand Prix races to qualify for prizes.
- Rewards are granted based on the highest rank the player achieved in the season, not their final rank.
- Rewards can be claimed until the end of the Season 5 Off-Season.

[h2]Bonus Tickets[/h2]
- Consumable Bonus Tickets have been added:
- These tickets are consumable items which will, for a set duration, increase the amount of RP and/or Lucci awarded from Races for as long as they remain active.
- Once acquired, Bonus Tickets are placed in the [Garage - Items] menu.
- Bonus Tickets are Inactive when acquired, and they will not have any effect until they are Activated in the Items menu by using the "Use Item" button.
- The Time Limits for Bonus Tickets will activate immediately on being acquired, regardless of if the ticket is activated or deactivated.
- Only one Bonus Ticket can be active at a time.
- If an additional Bonus Ticket of the same kind is acquired, the remaining time limits of the two tickets are added together.

- A separate notification message will be displayed when AI players are added.
- If you level-up past Lv. 20 or have a 3-win streak, the Matchmaking Option will automatically default to "Racers".
- Duo Mode has been removed.
License Mode
- The scoring requirements for certain License Missions have been updated.
- These changes are not retroactive, only attempts that occur after the Season 5 Update will count towards the updated scores.

- Rewards have been added to each Training Course Mission. These rewards are sent immediately upon completion of the Training Course.
- The Lobby Menu has been updated, removing and re-positioning some buttons:
- Profile and Mailbox buttons have been removed, with the Mailbox now integrated into the Social menu.
- Lobby and Challenges buttons have been added.
- Characters, Rotate Kart, and Quit buttons have been removed.
- The Profile and Quit options are now available under the Menu.
- Changes have been made to the Garage menu:
- The Livery menu has been moved into its own dedicated sub-menu of the Garage.
- Selecting a Kart or Character will now immediately allow you to change the selected item, and upgrades and other options are also available in this menu.

- The [Garage - Karts] UI now scrolls vertically through your collection of karts.
- Any newly acquired items will now appear at the top of the list the first time they're seen in the menu, to make it easier to find them.
- A Sort function has been added to the Change Kart and Change Outfit menus, allowing the list to be sorted by Grade (Highest/Lowest) or Season (Most Recent/Least Recent)
- Game Mode Selection UI has been updated to better organize the ways to race:
- Normal Modes: Item Mode / Speed Mode / Mode Lab

- Quick Match now allows you to quickly customize the Mode and Solo/Squad option before searching.
- The Item Shop UI has been improved:

- Packages: Shows all Packages of multiple items available in the Item Shop.
- Single Items: Shows the individual items in some packages and basic single items.
- Other Items: Shows miscellaneous items, such as the Racing Pass and Racer Name Change item.
- The Shop UI now scrolls vertically, and can be sorted.
- A smaller button to enter the K-COIN Shop has been added to the Item Shop menu.
- Categories have been updated to the following:
- The Time Attack UI has been improved:
- Filters have been added for Track Type (All / Speed) and Difficulty.
- Selecting Time Attack will take you to the Time Attack UI for a specific track immediately, and the track can be changed from that menu.
- The Custom Race UI has been improved:
- Karts, Characters, Balloons, and Settings can now be changed within the Custom Race UI
- The Room Master will be able to change both the game's Track and Mode as well as their personal Kart, Character, Balloon, and Settings through the "Game/Item Settings" button.
- Non-Room Masters will instead see an "Item Settings" button, which will allow them to change their personal Kart, Character, Balloon, and Settings.
- The License UI has been improved:
- The UI will now show the rewards for completing the selected License.
- For Item Mode License Missions, a guide to the items relevant to the mission will be shown before it begins.
- A highlighting effect has been added to the "Training Course" button.
- Momentum Challenges have been moved from [Profile - Momentum] to [Challenges - Momentum]
- When the "Next" button is pressed at the end of a menu, it will now loop the menu back to the first option.
- (PC/Console Only) Shortcuts for some menus have been changed, including the Quick Access buttons.
- Affected shortcuts include Select Mode, Communication, Social, Challenges, and others. The new shortcut keys can be viewed in the UI.
- Event notice UI for Hot Time and other events has been changed.
