The Lab Event 'Chaos Mode' Now Live!

Hey everyone!

The new Lab Mode 'Chaos Mode' is now live and it's time to wield experimental weaponry!



Here's a list of all the effects on the weapons in this Lab mode:

  • Baseball Bat: Slightly lower damage but no knockback
  • Assault Rifle: Massive clip and fire rate, but reduced damage and accuracy
  • Shotgun: Blunderbuss mode, 1 shot but a huge amount of pellets
  • Revolver: Double damage, but bullets move incredibly slowly
  • Bazooka: 1 hit 1 kill, but the explosion radius is tiny
  • Plasma Blaster: Semi auto, but no explosion and reduced damage. Still bounces though
  • Turret Launcher: Fires timed explosives
  • Rocket Shield: Increased health and ammo efficiency, but slower speed
  • Sheep Launcher: More a dropper than a launcher, no fire speed, but the Sheep are now a lot quicker
  • Rocket Gun: Each clip only has one rocket, but it does increased damage and has a huge explosion
  • Grenade: Explodes on impact and thrown at a high speed
  • Banana Bomb: Secondary explosives now fire shrapnel
  • Holy Hand Grenade: Fuse now lasts only 1/2 a second

Team Deathmatch Has Landed!

Hey Worms!

The new Team Deathmatch mode has landed in Worms Rumble! It's time to take a side and battle in 12v12 real-time action! Get ready to rumble in smaller versions of the 32 player maps, reshaped by a permanent storm. Plus, gain double XP through to the end of this weekend! Read more on the full update below!



Haven't heard of Worms Rumble before? Well - it's an arena based real-time shooter with up to 32 players, with battle royal, deathmatch and experimental modes. Wield classic Worms weaponry like the iconic holy hand grenade and even get blasting with new ones like the powerful Hammerhead rocket launcher. Worms Rumble also has crossplay between PC, PS4 and PS5!

Team Deathmatch


Take up the call of team based total Wormfare with the new Team Deathmatch mode! Be assigned to red or blue team in a battle to rack up the most kills and find yourself in 12v12 arena based controlled chaos. This game mode was highly requested in the community and we were eager to get it in. We've also changed the maps to be smaller based on community feedback from an open beta on the mode, expect to see storms at the edges of maps from the 32 player mode!

It's time to hop into the action and fight for your teams victory!

Double XP Weekend


To celebrate the launch of the new mode and update, we are starting the first double XP weekend starting today at 3PM GMT through to Monday 3PM GMT. Hop in game for double the xp gain and get rewarded with cosmetics to make your Worm look the best they can be. There's never been a better time to rumble!

Fixes


Again, we have been listening closely to everyone's feedback and some of the issues you have faced. We have made a few fixes and improvements that should help make many of your game experiences better!

Crash fixes: we have fixed several of the most common crash issues effecting players. The way we get the best data is when people send the crash reports from the prompt after their game has closed which has helped us track down and solve these biggest issues so far. If you come across any new issues please be sure to click send info if you get this prompt and you can also contact our support team here: Support

Network Improvements: we have made some improvement to network issues players were having including several issues of delay/jitter. We will continue to monitor and improve this as it will be continually improved upon.

Full fix notes:

  • Fixes for multiple crashes seen across all platforms
  • Fixes / optimisations for general network gameplay
  • Fixed a desync issue when using the Grapple Gun and Jetpack
  • Fixed an issue where the small banner displayed the incorrect player while specating
  • The News feed articles are now correctly translated in all languages
  • Fixed an issue where the jetpack wasn't removed from the player's inventory when the item's durability reached 0
  • Fixed an issue where the player was unable to jump after taking fall damage
  • Fixed an issue where certain emotes were displayed incorrectly
  • Fixed an issue where the player was unable to accept invites on PlayStation
  • Fixed an issue where Team17 friends online status was displayed incorrectly
  • Fixed a visual issue when the main menu background was not loaded correctly
  • Fixed an issue where the player was unable to search for a Lab mode after the search was cancelled
  • Fixed an issue where the pre-game information was not displayed

Worms Rumble Team Deathmatch Coming Soon, Rising Tide Lab Mode & Dev Roadmap!

Hey Worms!

We've been listening closely to community requests and are excited to reveal that a team death match mode will be landing in Worms Rumble on January 28th 2021!

[h3]TDM Mode[/h3]

A classic team vs team deathmatch mode is coming to the game next week. Take up the banner of the red or blue team and show the enemy the true meaning of collective Worms fire power!

This mode will be 12v12 and the maps will be reduced in size from the 32 player variants with some areas cut off with storms.

Thanks to everyone who joined our beta tests and helped us try out the new mode. We've listened to your feedback and tweaked the originally more chaotic mode! Spawns, map size and flow were critiques we've listened to and changed to make the mode better!

[h3]Roadmap[/h3]

Worms, we want to show you that we have much more content planned and for that we've put together a development roadmap that highlights some of the things coming in the near future!



Please note, the roadmap isn't exhaustive or set in stone, everything could change and there will be additions that aren't mentioned here.

[h3]Fixes[/h3]

We're aware of a few issues with the game and are working hard to resolve them!

Crashes have been effecting some PC players and next weeks TDM patch will come with fixes that aim to resolve the majority of the reports we've received.

Networking issues will be continuously looked at and patched, we will be getting out fixes as soon as we can to keep improving things.

Whilst they don't effect Steam users we're also working with Sony on resolving the PS5 Trophy issues. We'll let everyone know as soon as we have a fix for those still still experiencing issues.

Worms Rumble Closed Beta For Big New Feature + The Lab Event 'Slo-Mo' Now Live!

Hey everyone!

The new Lab Mode Slo-Mo is now live and it's time to take on the true speed of a real life Worm! You, your projectiles and enemies will be slowed significantly in the Deathmatch mode.

You have until Monday January 11th at 3PM GMT to dodge bullets, plan the paths for your projectiles and master the world of slow motion!

This weeks reward is an exclusive Unicorn outfit coloration for just participating!
