Chrono Ark Early Access 1.63 update!



Hello, Fellow Arkers!
Chrono Ark EA Patch 1.63 has arrived!

Improvements

- Lucy’s storylines and records have been added.
- Sizz’s base Attack has been increased by 1.
- Some tooltip texts have been changed.
- Azar’s Blade Starfall’s effect has been changed.
- Story texts displayed when the Clock Tower is first operated have been changed.
- Chrono Ark: Fate is now playable as an additional content from the Main Menu.

Chrono Ark: Fate

We decided to focus on developing the contents for Chrono Ark. Chrono Ark: Fate will be added after the official launch as additional content.

Storyline
Lucy’s storyline is now playable instead of playing Chrono Ark: Fate after running the Clock Tower. All save files will be reset to the instance where the Clock Tower starts to operate.

Chrono Ark EA v1.62: One-Time Save and 64-bit Support!



Hello, fellow Arkers!
Chrono Ark EA v1.62 has been updated.

We have significantly improved on One-time save logic and gameplay environment on 64-bit.


[h2]One-Time Save[/h2]
- Now the One-time saves the field map’s status so that you can save the progress more flexibly.
- One-time save objects now spawns at normal fields not only the campfires.
- Now the load button doesn’t load the next Stage.
- All One-time save data and Hope Mode’s progress will be reset.

[h2]Improved Gameplay Environment[/h2]
Now the game will be executed based on either32-bit or 64-bit processor.
The game has been executed as a 32-bit version. It now can be run more stably on the 64-bit environment.

Change Log

System
Normal Difficulty - Now you start a game with some portion of potions and scrolls as identified.
Removed Tracking keyword and Replaced the miss from the ally attack with a miss that hits half the damage.

Phoenix and Charon - Phoenix now avoids Charon who tries to use Phoenix’s vitality. Phoenix can no longer stay with Charon anymore.

Trisha
Backstab - Critical Keyword has been removed. The damage amount has been increased by 10%. The base critical chance has increased by 20%.

Ironheart
Charge of Faith - The cost has been reduced by 1.

  • (NEW) Skill Keyword - Critical has been added.
  • (NEW) Skill Book - Healing 101 has been added.
  • (NEW) Relic - Shark Fin, Yummy Carrot, and Bottle of the Evil Spirit have been added.
  • (NEW) Unique Equipment - Scale Vest has been added.
  • Twisted Light - Now can only be used 4 times per battle.
  • Vigil of an Old Hero - The effect has slightly been changed.
  • Shield of Luminosity - The effect has been nerfed.
  • Last Flame - Now prevents the Death’s Door once and provides a regeneration effect.
  • Sword of Forest - Now shows the availability of its extra effect.
  • Sir Dorchi X - Max Health has been decreased by 10. It no longer shows that Dancing Leaves inflicts Pain damage.
  • Text Color - Not any Pain damage related texts are displayed in purple.

  • (NEW) Skill: Let Me Absorb You! has been added.
  • (NEW) Skill: Dark Sanctuary has been added.
  • Soul Strike - The effect has been changed with Rare level.
  • Shadow Pillars - No longer has Ignore Taunt with Common level.
  • Vigil of Darkness - Now has Swiftness.
  • Evil Phantasm - The effect has been changed.
  • Dark Barrier - The barrier amount has been increased. It now deals Pain damage to the target.




> Hein
  • (NEW) Skill: Blood Storm has been added.
  • Merciless Explosion - The base damage amount has been decreased.
  • Intimidation - No longer has the Remove Taunt effect and targets all enemies.
  • End of the Line - No longer has Countdown.
  • Rage Slash - Now the cost is reduced to 0 if Hein is at the Death’s Door.
  • Tear Up - Countdown has been added. The damage amount has been increased. Always lands against a target with Weakening debuff.
  • Assault Slash - The damage amount has been increased. Always lands against a target with Weakening debuff.


> Trisha
  • Shadow Veil - Once has been removed. Various effects have been added.
  • Blink Stab - Now the effect remains until the card deck is shuffled 3 times during this turn.
  • Caught Off Guard - No longer recovers 2 Mana -> Now it deals higher additional damage instead.
  • Heart Pierce - The effect has been improved.
  • Illusion Strike - The effect has been improved.
  • Shadow Dance - Now gives Double Team buff to all allies. The number has been adjusted.


> Lian
  • (NEW) Draw Skill: Begone! has been added.
  • Relentless Swipe - The cost has been increased by 1. The damage amount has been increased.


> Joey
  • Biotic Field - Now it comes to the top of the deck when the battle starts.
  • Conjure Potion - The effect has been significantly increased.


> Pressel
  • Celestial Wing - Now it comes to the top of the deck when the battle starts.
  • Guardian Angel - No longer gets Excluded when Overhealed.
  • Shining Pillar - The damage amount has been reduced.
  • First Class to Heaven - Now has a Critical Keyword.


> Selena & Helia
  • Blessing of the Moon - Costs 3. Now the cost is reduced if it is in hand.
  • Blessing of the Stars - Costs 3. Now the cost is reduced if it is in hand. The activation mechanic has been improved.


> Silverstein
  • Overcharged Shot - The effect has been changed.
  • Enhanced Mark - Costs 2. The duration and overall stats have been increased.
  • Blind Fire - The effect has been changed.


> Azar
  • Storming Blade - 9 Countdown has been added.
  • Illusion Flash - Countdown has been removed.
  • Fantasy - Swiftness has been removed.
  • Veiled Sword - Now the reflection damage scales up to Azar’s Attack.


> Narhan
  • Brain Lock - Costs 2, Always stun all enemies.


> Miss Chain
  • Fire Ground - Swiftness has been removed. Now gives Burnnn! to all allies.


> Phoenix
  • (NEW) Draw Skill: Treat Time has been added.



> Huzz
  • Restrained Healing - Cost 2 -> 1
  • This Might Sting! - Swiftness has been added.
  • Carrot and Stick - Now provides Healing Gauge Protection to the target.


> Lucy
  • Dark Silhouette - A draw effect after receiving damage by an ally has been added. The damage amount has been adjusted.
  • Effective Plan - Cost 0 -> 1, Swiftness has been removed.
  • Increase Max. Mana - Cost 3 -> 2

Feedback Reports from the Community and Update Plans

[h3]1. “I have played Chrono Ark: Fate and the genre is too different from the original game and has too much play time!”[/h3]

Alternative Solution: The game is now clearable without watching the ending of Chrono Ark: Fate
The game currently plays Lucy’s story where the Prologue of Chrono Ark: Fate is supposed to be.
Chrono Ark: Fate can be unlocked and viewed under a certain condition.


Our first intention was to make players watch the Prologue only for Chrono Ark: Fate and let them choose to watch the rest. Now you can choose whether to choose to watch the Prologue or not.


We considered that players would remain curious about the rest of the story after clearing the game without watching Chrono Ark: Fate. So, we decided not to force everyone to go through the plots.

The reason why we decided to build Chrono Ark: Fate is because I, as a director, personally do not like resolving remaining questions into a separate series.


There are many short but emotional stories about Lucy to come. Please wait for them to be added patiently.


Also, new PV and trailer for Chrono Ark are planned to be added around the time the second series of Chrono Ark: Fate is on!



[h3]2. “Please Balance out the Skills!”[/h3]

We are planning massive buffs and nerfs.

"Charon’s skill set is just mediocre."
- Charon will receive her Rare skill. Her new core mechanic will be upgraded while dealing additional damage when Soul Stigma is applied to the target.


"Azar’s Illusion Flash is too hard to use. Fantasy is too overpowered."
- We will nerf Fantasy and remove the Count effect from Azar’s Illusion Flash.

"Hein depends on Merciless Explosion. His other skills sucks with low Accuracy. It’s impossible to use Hein without Merciless Explostion."
- We will buff Hein’s skills based on Merciless Explosion’s health-based self-harming mechanic. We will also add extra effects to skills such as Tear Up and Assault Slash to suggest a new concept to Hein players.

"Most of the Rare skills of Silverstein, Narhan, and most of the Healers suck."
- We will improve on all Rare skills mentioned above..


"Lian and Phoenix don’t have any Draw Skills?"
- We will add them for both.



Others:

Selena and Helia’s Blessing-based skills - Planned to be buffed

Lian’s Relentless Swipe - Planned to be nerfed

Trisha - Planned to fix Blink Stab’s OTK mechanic. Planned to improve on ‘boring’ skills.

Miss Chain’s Fire Ground - Planned to be buffed
