Brace yourselves for exciting news! With the help of PM Studios, Exophobia will be part of PAX Online! We're bringing back the demo with an exclusive achievement if you complete it!

From September 12th through the 20th, you will be able to play the Exophobia demo again, but this time with an extra reward... At the end you will earn yourself an exclusive PSX Online event achievement! So be sure to not miss it! Do you still have the skills?

The partnership with PM Studios will help bring more exciting opportunities to the game in the future, so it can become as big as it deserves! I just want to thank everyone for all your support, it has been an amazing journey and it's just getting started.

In case you missed it, Exophobia was one of the games featured in Realms Deep 2020, among dozens of other new retro first-person shooters!
The event is over, but you can check them out, on this Steam page. They are all amazing, and lots of announced games are there.

Hello everyone! The Steam Game Festival was crazy, I can't express how anxious I was to get so many new eyes on the game. I couldn't even work on the game, I was just so focused on absorbing all the feedback ahah which, by the way, has been very valuable.

[h3]I just want to thank everyone who tried the demo, streamed it, posted it on Youtube, filled the feedback form and joined my dev stream and Discord. You just made this event so amazing and helped a lot! And congrats to everyone who beat the demo, it turns out it was not as easy as I thought.. (as always).

Also, due to some requests,[h3] I will keep the demo available for the next couple of days.
[/h3] If you didn't had the chance to play it, you can do it now, for maybe the end of this week. After that I want to take it out, because I will focus on all your feedback and turn Exophobia into an even better game than this demo shows!

• Collect all discs (5/5)
  
• Collect all health upgrades (3/3)
  
• Push an enemy into the conveyor belt end
  
• Lure an alien into some lasers
  
• Find the hidden helmet powerup (3/3)
  
• Beat the final boss with no damage

Hello there, I'm José Castanheira, aka 'Zarc'

I'm a solo dev developing Exophobia, a modern, clean take on the classic retro first-person shooter gameplay, combining a frightening sci-fi setting, a stylized aesthetic, fast-paced intense combat and metroidvania exploration.

Imagine if Wolfenstein 3D was never upgraded upon, but evolved with faster and more intense gameplay. Mix that with alien enemies, tough bosses, upgradeable character and a rhythmic synthwave OST! (by Pedro J. Costa)

In this demo, you'll be able to play a short level featuring the first elements of the game, from getting equipped with the weapon to fighting the first boss. I promise that it's filled with a lot of great moments, hope you enjoy it!
