Announcement for Game Mode Survey

Greetings Soldiers.

A Game Mode Survey will be conducted until next week’s Thursday update.
We will thoroughly review survey results and community sentiment for a final decision on whether to revert recent game mode changes.
We wholeheartedly ask for your active participation

■ Duo/Squad Mode Hotfix Survey Info
1. Survey Period: (KST) Feb. 4, 2022 – Feb. 9, 2022
2. Survey Link: [Click Here]

Prior to our trio game mode update, we had been constantly monitoring data and community sentiment to slowly chew on and reconsider combat fun-factors, balance, and game direction.

After careful reconsideration, we came to the conclusion that enabling trio mode will provide fluid class balance and a more enjoyable experience during combat.
By implementing Trio Mode, we were able to collect insightful data as listed below.

- Consistent Pick Rate for All Classes
- Increased Level Up and Looting Speed
- Faster Combat Tempo
- Increased Time in Combat (Improved Class Balance)
- Decrease of One-sided Fights
- Decrease of Deaths from the Ice Storm

However, we failed to promptly announce these changes, much to the dissatisfaction of our Duo and Squad Players.
We deeply apologize for the short notice of these important changes.

We will try our best to give a heads up for future patches that can have a big impact on your gameplay.
Additionally, based on our Super Soldiers feedback, we plan to possibly revert recent game mode changes to enable Duo/Squad game modes.

We will always strive to offer a community-centric and a more enjoyable gameplay experience to our soldiers.

As always, a big thank you for playing.

Feb. 4 Patch Notes

A server maintenance will be carried out from 13:00 to 15:00, on Feb. 4 (KST).

Maintenance details are as follows.

1. Feature Improvements
1) Improved Slide Controls
- Sliding is now only activated when the player holds down the slide key for a set amount of time.
This change was made to prevent players from accidentally sliding during a fight when they want to crouch instead.
Players can revert the sliding key mechanic back to the old version if they prefer in the controls settings.
- Added a fine adjustment option for slide controls in the settings to prevent sliding by accident when playing as a Gatling Soldier or Strike Force
- Sliding has been changed to only activate when pressing the “crouch” key while sprinting.

2) Keybind for Slide
- Players can now use a separate keybind for slide instead of having to share the same key with crouch.
- The default value is still same key as crouch.

3) Slide Control Types
- Players can now choose to either tap or press-and-hold a key to slide.
Tap: Press key to slide immediately. Same setting as before.
Hold: Press and hold to slide. Players can adjust how long they want to hold the key in order to trigger the slide command.
The default value is set to "hold".

2. Performance Improvements
- CPU performance improved when playing in a multi-player match.

3. Voice Chat
- Removed the "all" option for voice chat found in Settings > Audio > Voice Chat Channels.
The "all" option in voice chat has been temporarily removed because
we discovered some users being abusive to others or advertising the sale of illegal cheating software.
- The voice chat setting will be changed to "team" if it was previously set to "all".

4. Bug Fixes
- Shotgun Master - Added the previously missing fall damage negation description for Lv. 1 Jump Training.

All the best, Super People Team.

Announcement for Matchmaking Changes on Jan. 27

Greetings Soldiers,

We have made the decision to disable duos and squads for an undefined period.

We notice that many players are disappointed with this decision and are aware that this impacts a lot of you who in these past few months have been playing the game as duos or squads. We wholeheartedly apologize for the short notice of these important changes. Many teammates and groups had to separate due to this sudden change and it was not well thought out on our end.

With the SUPER PEOPLE revival system, we were noticing that a lot of the fights and revives were happening outside the play zone and this effect amplified as many players ended up falling behind and a big number of deaths were occurring in the ice storms, outside of the play zones.

We also felt that many players were suffering from a lack of materials between the same group due to collection paths and suggestions being identical in many cases—we had hoped to reduce this collision by lowering the team size.

Despite our intentions to better the game, we made the mistake of lacking communication with our soldiers who have been planning games with friends and other partners. We apologize and hope that you will try the trio mode to help us gather valuable data that will aid the improvement of SUPER PEOPLE.
We will be keeping a close eye on your feedback on the server to see how it affects the overall gameplay. Again, in the end, it is your active in-game activity that directs and fosters our game in a healthier and more constructive direction based on internal data. This includes, but is not limited to, broader options of queues or matchmaking.

We are staying committed to making Super People the best it can be for all of you Super Soldiers.

Thank you for your understanding, and a sincere thank you for playing.
