We were absolutely thrilled with everything that happened during the Scoobtober Community Contest. What an amazing performance by the winners - completely changing how we, the developers, and presumably the future competitors look at the possibilities in Sandbox Mode!

The key to this breakthrough? Motion sensor and pressure plate mechanics!
The most creative of players connected these newly introduced tools with some older tricks, creating houses that don’t just look outstanding, but also present you with a solid amount of surprising gameplay and interactive storytelling elements.

Another year, another list full of content that we managed to add to House Flipper 2 (with your help!💙).
This update marks the final step on our 2025 roadmap!


(A new one for 2026 - coming soon!)
Take a look at all the new additions and changes:

• A certain bearded ho-ho-ho guy has a new job for you. He seems familiar... (Unlocked by completing either "Exterior renovation" or "House remodeling to finish")
  
• A brand-new, messy property to buy and renovate, buried deep in snow! (Requires completing the job from the ho-ho-ho guy first)
  
• Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... – snowfall added to the Snowy Suburbs environment.
  
• A brand-new snow removal tool to deal with all that winter mess!
  
• PC: A warning message now appears when your disk space for saves is running low. (consoles already had this!)
  
• 170 New themed items available in the shop:

  • Lots of Santa-related goodies
    
  • 40 fireplace-esque items
    
  • 17 fence gates !!
    
  • 20 sports items to help you stay fit!
    
  • A brand new car
    
  • 9 fresh pillows

  • 20+ new mid-century modern lamps and plant pots (expanding the collection from the Scooby-Doo DLC!)
    
  • THE SNOW YEETER !! (yup, we've seen the petition to keep the name, you win! ːbessie_loveː)[/p]
    

Changes:

• Improved gamepad controls (including the Snow Editing Tool in Sandbox Mode)
  
• Multiple controller button fixes and improvements – including proper handling of the snow editing tool in Sandbox Mode.
  
• People living in suburban environments now turn their lights on at night (they’ve finally found the switch).
  
• After consulting lunar experts, we made the Moon look more natural.
  
• The save cleanup system (triggered when you’re running low on space) now shows more elements available for deletion.
  
• Available storage bar in mod.io screen now actually shows available space left for mods.
  
• [UI] Unpacking boxes now shows how many items remain inside, so you can manage your furnishing better!
  
• [UI] Improved the indicator dot that marks newly discovered gameplay elements (like new jobs).
  

Fixes:

• Scroll issues in custom picture view.
