We had some serious fun!
That contest was something else though, I have to admit that we felt like this theme would be very problematic to design around. You guys outdid yourselves with surprising ideas and wonderfully crafted houses!
The judging process was a bit prolonged, as we had to not only consider the visuals but actually play through the projects to understand what we're looking at. It's insane to see this kind of creativity level

Congrats to not only the winners, but to everyone who attempted to work with such an unusual theme:

We present the winning projects in no particular order this time:

- Resistance is Futile by Tari43
We loved to see the usage of our new keys mechanic. It was a lot of fun to unravel the secrets of the mysterious cube! It was a bit tricky, interesting, and visually pleasing. Great job!

- Land of the Lotus Eaters by WPWW
Dreamy! The visuals of this project capture the feeling of a dream so well! The usage of various mechanics required to progress is impressive! Make sure to look at your quests when attempting this one!

- House of the Radiator by Super_Kupo
So funny! Feels like a pun on a pun. Whoever goes through this project joins the radiator cult automatically! So gooood!

- Cartoon - Coloring Book by Sph1nxy
Oh my! So lovely, so unique, we've never seen something like it. The house is not big, but you can spend a long time admiring all the little black and white details. Incredible!

- A crocodiles tale by RoooseGarden
Mr and Mrs Croc invited us to their wedding, and it was a blast! Surprising visuals, funny challenges, lots of hard work! We loved it!

[h3]🎂 This weekend was tons of fun![/h3]

A huge free weekend event, our first DLC launch, and an update to spice it up!
But most importantly, we had the pleasure of greeting so many players in House Flipper 2 these last couple of days - Thank you!
In fact, we managed to reach a new all-time peak regarding concurrent player count - 21,945!!

We love the fact that so many of you found time to enjoy flipping together during our House Flipper Franchise Birthday weekend!
We hope the veteran flippers used this chance to show their friends around, and that all the rookie flippers will find their place here!

As every year, we have something special for you, and this time, it is a particularly exciting time, as the following events are taking place:




[h3]😱 House Flipper 2 Free Weekend![/h3]

That's right, tell everybody, invite your friends, and play together! This weekend, everybody can try House Flipper 2 for free and enjoy all the new content that arrives with the Free Co-op DLC release.
It's a great chance to see if you like the game and get it on an all-time high discount!

[h3]🤝 Free CO-OP DLC is OUT![/h3]

Designing, implementing, and polishing the CO-OP Mode in House Flipper 2 proved to be quite a tough journey! The release of the House Flipper 2 Co-op DLC is the final step!
It is officially the first DLC added to House Flipper 2, and it provides the Co-op mode fans with some extra content designed specifically for multiplayer fun. If you prefer to flip alone, all the new content can also be completed solo!
All that comes with an update to House Flipper 2, patch notes below!

[h3]📋 Official Co-op Release Update 1.8.[/h3]

New:
• 4 new co-op jobs (can be played in single player – we won’t be checking): The first one is "Help us create a fun place!", unlocked after "A floor plan to change".
• 4 new co-op houses (also playable in single player). The first one is "Old marketplace".
• 92 new items! Details below.

92 new items:
• 2 new wallpapers
• 7 new kinds of wall and ceiling molding
• Triangle windows with a 5-block base
• 3 elephant figurines
• 5 kinds of plushies
• Some small baby items
• Darts and a dartboard
• Film projector and film cans
• 6 kitchen containers
• 11 museum items including display cases and signs :)
• Picture lights - different sizes in one item!
• A chess set with individual pieces that slot nicely onto the board ;>
• Japanese maples
• Sago palms
• 4 path lights

Changes:
• Custom pictures retain their aspect ratio when placed in frames.
• Customizing an item that changes its model removes attached items (e.g. changing the right door to left will remove any sticky note that stuck to it). Be aware!
• [Assembly] Removed the ability to move the camera with Ctrl+Mouse.
• [Assembly] Improved scene lighting.
• [Assembly][UI] Assembly star animation is faster.

Fixes:
• Restored the menu exit button from the "Floor is Lava" map.
• [Sandbox] Fishing rod tool should now correctly drop rocks.
• [Sandbox] The "Ignore collisions" option in the "Transform tool" in mode "Resize" should now work correctly in all scenarios.
• [UI] The header in the popup when deleting a gallery photo is now translated correctly.

Co-op new:
• Added pinging and emoticons (X on keyboard, D-pad up on controller)! Now you can really say what you think about that wall color 💩
• Added visual effects when cleaning stains and using detergent, so other players can see how much you're (not) helping.
• Added option to kick players from the lobby view.
• Added wall-building visual effect to be seen by other players.
• Added notification and countdown before reloading the game when a new player joins.
• Added item carrying animation.
• Improved player crouch animations - no more pretending to hold a shotgun!
• Added notification for internet connection problems.
• Added player nickname to the disconnect message.

Co-op changes:
• Task progress under [TAB] syncs in near real-time.
• Synchronized material amounts in finishing boxes (tiles, panels, wallpaper) and paint buckets.
• Synchronized doors, laptop, TV channels, and light switches.
• Synchronized time of day when using the bed.
• Synchronized inventory key color.
• The online lobby join code is now hidden by default.
• The Join button is disabled when playing solo and not in the menu.

Co-op fixes:
• Fixed disconnect issues when loading many houses in a row or one very large house.
• Multiple players unpacking a box at the same time will no longer break the game.
• Starting tools now sync correctly when transitioning between plots.
• Tools are now properly locked when joining Floor is Lava mode.
• Paint color on roller no longer resets when a new player joins.
• Items bought by the host will no longer be duplicated for clients.
• Client disconnects no longer leave behind a ghost of the item they were buying.
• When exiting a sandbox plot test to the main menu, all players are returned to the lobby (not just the host).
• After completing a job and skipping the before-after & messages, players are no longer pulled back into the job for a second.
• Flashlight beam direction matches the viewing direction.
• Disabled player shadows to avoid scaring others in co-op. It's not Halloween. Not yet.
• Fixed an issue where the session-end notification couldn’t be closed.
