VIDEO UPDATE - NEW GAME MODE RHYTHMRIDE COMING!

The new mode is called RhythmRide !


Ride the Dragon and Slash the Balloons and Targets to the Ryhthm of the music!

Play as many times as you like and only your best times will be saved to the leaderboard.

The most requested feature for DragonRideVR is now out - FreeFly

FreeFly - You can control your own dragon using the motion controllers or a gamepad:

New Features in FreeFly:
  • Walk / Run / Jump / Swim / Fly / Glide Modes
  • Fireball
  • Smash / Attack
  • Control Customization (see in-game menu)
  • Dragon Customization (unlocks)
  • New Views - Be the dragon / Ride the Dragon / Outside the Dragon
  • Giant Crossbows that can attack
  • New Destructible Items: Crates / Doors / Targets / Giant Defence CrossBows

New FreeFly Game Modes: FreeFly - No Time limit just explore - Collect Crystals / Fly through rings.
BallonHunt - Fly into or Shoot balloons to get the highest score before time runs out.
EggHunt - 15 progressive Levels - Find The missing Eggs and unlock customizations, avoid being shot down!


2 New Worlds:
  • Ice Worlds - Frozen Land
  • Canyons - 16KM Map

FREEFLY BETA NOW AVAILABLE (UPDATED DEC 11)



The #1 Requested feature is here for testing.

To Play this exciting new mode you can opt-in to the beta from within steam.
Select the Beta ( if you wish to go back to the original game you can)


Why Beta?
There are still be new features that will be coming over the coming weeks as well as additions and fixes that are reported. We have the game in a good enough state to get players flying now.
We will keep updating and fixing issues daily.

How to Test.
Select the new FreeFly mode from dragon valley - once loaded press the in-game menu and view controls.
You can free-fly other worlds but the egg hunt game is only fully completed in dragon valley. Vive users are recommended to use a PC gamepad as the trackpads are not that great. (we built-in gamepad support)
There is a small possibility that you may lose your progress between beta updates.
We expect the beta to run for only a few weeks and then go to the main game stream (2.0)

Some users have to reset view on the main menu Some UI issues in-game menu game progression (Stars) Some areas in dragon valley are not finished - can see under cliffs/collision needs refining in some areas. Volcano Island / Ice World Is Free Fly Only

Hi All,

We are making great progress on the free fly and we are wondering how to release a beta in the coming weeks?

Free Fly:
Can walk, jump, surface swim, and fly.
Can Glide and Swoop and also pickup and drop (eggs)
Uses thumbstick for control including gamepad for users without good thumbsticks (Vive)

Should we make it in-game beta (will just appear - but will update everyone (the current game will work))
OR a separate release? (you will have to opt-in to the beta in steam)

UPDATE - To manage risk to new players we ended up making in a separate beta for a few weeks and then move it to mainstream as much of the core game had to change and didn't want to break the experience for new players... Thanks for your votes.
