Vienna, Austria / Helsinki, Finland, March 20th, 2025: Ladies and Gentlemen, the next generation of demolition derby madness is here. Wreckfest 2 is crashing into Early Access on Steam today, bringing next-level car destruction, slicker graphics, improved physics, and a whole lot of new features to fuel your inner petrolhead. And yes, it’s once again developed by Bugbear Entertainment – the masters of metal-mangling mayhem.

Just like its predecessor, Wreckfest 2 will keep evolving throughout Early Access, with fresh content and features rolling in regularly. Bugbear and THQ Nordic are all about making this a game for the players, shaped by the players. We want your feedback – tell us what you love, what you want more of, and what crazy ideas we absolutely need to implement. We’ve got a truckload of ideas (and an actual truck), but we want to hear which ones you like the most!

Now, a fair warning: don’t expect Wreckfest 2’s Early Access version to be as jam-packed with content as Wreckfest 1 after nearly a decade of updates, patches, and DLCs. This is just the beginning of an epic ride, and the game will grow with regular updates, guided by our living roadmap - powered by you.

To reflect this evolving journey, Wreckfest 2 is launching at an introductory SRP of $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, with a 20% launch discount for the first two weeks (until April 3, 2025), making it an even sweeter deal. As development progresses and major updates roll out, the SRP will gradually increase until the full 1.0 release on PC and consoles.

Developer Bugbear has overhauled its physics engine to deliver the most intense crashes, deeper component damage, and absolute vehicular mayhem.

Race on high-speed circuits - or tear through a junkyard filled with, well, junk! Take on wild jumps, try to dodge oncoming traffic at chaotic intersections. Good luck with that! Or embrace total destruction in derby mode, where chaos reigns, and every collision fuels the madness. It’s not just a race - it’s carnage on wheels. With no rules and no mercy, every race becomes a battle to the finish line against up to 23 other players or AI drivers in all-out multiplayer mayhem!

Forget the shiny supercars - In Wreckfest 2, the rides are old, rusty, dented, and patched together. As Early Access progresses, you'll be able to build the banger of your dreams and transform your battered ride into a wrecking machine! New cars and other vehicles will be added as the game evolves.

Hello!

Today we updated the steam store page of Wreckfest 2. We mainly removed references to certain features and languages which are going to be in the full release version, but not for the Early Access launch of Wreckfest 2. Long awaited features like mod support or additional languages will come throughout the Early Access progress or with the 1.0 full launch at the latest.



We do not want to cause confusion here, hence we will make sure that the store page reflects the currently available content of the game.


We recommend to keep an eye on the Early Access roadmap we are going to publish soon.
