Patch v1.0.17

Hi,

Just a minor patch to fix some controls related issues some people where having:
  • new: added the ability to free-look while landed.
  • new: the game now automatically enters Computer Mode after the ship has landed. Hopefully this helps against accidental take-offs.
  • fixed: only the first mouse button could be mapped. Now all 8 mouse buttons can be mapped.


Patch v1.0.16 - TrackIR support & French language support

Hi,

This patch adds support for TrackIR as well as French localization. Please refer to the forums for more information on TrackIR support:

  • new: added TrackIR support. Update your game list in the TrackIR application first.
  • new: added FR (French) language support.
  • changed: various UI elements to facilitate localization.



I'm now going to shift my focus more to the topic of the first major update of the game: free-roaming.

Hotfix Patch v1.0.15

Hi,

A hotfix patch that fixes the following issues:
  • first light in Cube Field would not trigger.
  • there was no way to disable the computer alarm.
  • there was no way to access the Dimension Device controls on the computer.

Patch v1.0.14 - partial controller support and more

Hi there,

This patch focusses on control improvements: the game now uses fewer controls by adding a Computer Mode. This allows for easier mapping onto game controllers. Official templates for the Xbox One and Switch Pro controllers can be found on the forums.

  • new: partial controller support.
  • new: control deadzone setting.
  • new: controls helper, a cheatsheet overlay that shows the control mappings.
  • new: the camera now peeks a bit beyond the ship's heading.
  • changed: reduced the amount of controls to make controller device mapping easier.
  • changed: ship steering dynamics.
  • changed: increased roll precision when the ship is heading at the horizon.
  • changed: controls dialog can now be reached straight from the options menu.
  • changed: Points-of-Interest are now also displayed when freelooking.
  • changed: now the boost does not activate when full thrust mode is off.
  • changed: drilling: green layers will not appear anymore beyond the target drill depth.
  • changed: drilling: the looks of the target depth line to avoid players confusing it with the sweet spot depth line of the Depth Scanner graph.
  • changed: Gre (the moon of GJ669 b) now contains water instead of fuel.
  • changed: added some more hints here and there in the story.
  • changed: increased the amount of DE on GJ669 b.
  • fixed: issue where the last target had to be redone after a load game.
  • fixed: freelook angles were not reset properly.
  • fixed: drilling: drill head tip did not exactly represent the current depth.
  • fixed: drilling on Ixo during the tutorial would always yield an opal.


In the next patch we'll add TrackIR support as well as French localization support.

Patch v1.0.14 on experimental branch

A test build of v1.0.14 has been released on the experimental branch. It contains mostly control system changes adding better support for game controllers. For those who want to get an early peek this is your chance.
