Valve reveals most-played game demos from Steam Next Fest

The Steam Next Fest just came to a close, but its diverse game demos live on in our hearts. Valve sprinkled a little bit of everything into its recent event, from open-world RPGs to fantasy crafting sims. While many of the showcased demos are still available to play now, others are no longer up as developers prepare for their games' full release. To commemorate the Next Fest and talented devs, Steam just revealed its most-played game demos.

Welcome to the Enshrouded livestream.

You must scrape and scavenge through the ruined remnants of a lost kingdom, and fend off the beasts that hunger for your flesh. Journey through forests, caves, dungeons, searching for secret knowledge and treasure. Build the strength to venture into the Shroud and bring the fight back to the horrors of the deep.

This first playthrough of Enshrouded aims to showcase all of the games amazing capabilities. From learning to survive immediately to looting necessary tools, scavenging and crafting weapons, this gameplay shows you the exciting adventure you embark on in Enshrouded.

Elden Ring meets Rust in new survival RPG

Enshrouded has had me feeling some type of way since Keen Games' initial reveal of the blended survival RPG experience. It takes all of the crafting and exploring mechanics we love from games like Rust or Valheim, combining them with combat and medieval fantasy vibes seen in FromSoftware's timeless icons such as Dark Souls or Elden Ring. We can soon explore its vast world for ourselves during the Steam Next Fest, thanks to a free playable demo.
