Have you been praying for a physical version of either Hi-Fi Rush or Pentiment? Maybe you're keen for both? Regardless of just how keen you are to spend some money on good ol' fashioned plastic game boxes, you won't have to wait long, as physical collectors editions of both games are going up for sale soon.

These special versions of both Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush are coming courtesy of Limited Run Games, an independent video game company that specialises in fancy video game releases. As the name implies, these don't stay on store shelves forever, and you'll have to pounce at the opportunity to snag what you want while you can.

Starting with Pentiment, you'll be able to pre-order physical editions of one of our 2022 Games of the Year for either the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or the Nintendo Switch. The pre-order window will close on March 24, so you've got around a month to make your mind up and slap down an order. Each version will cost you $35, so it's not too shabby a deal.

Would you look at that, Dead Island 2 looks to have quietly rocked up on Xbox Game pass without an official announcement as of writing.

To be fair, Microsoft had a lot on its plate yesterday with the four games it’d hinted at being part of its big multi-platform plans during last week’s podcast all being officially revealed in several different ways. Both Pentiment and Grounded showed up in February 21’s Nintendo Direct, while Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves popped up afterwards, with an Xbox Wire post then confirming the quartet. No wonder a surprise Game Pass arrival looks to have flown under the radar.

The game, a lovingly-made narrative experience from Obsidian Entertainment, went down a treat on PC and Xbox where it first found a home thanks to publihser Xbox Game Studios. This comes following an official Xbox Podcast last week, in which head of Xbox Phil Spencer declared four Xbox-exclusive games would be headed to other consoles in due time. It looks like we finally have confirmation that Pentiment is one such game, even if it only had a short appearance in the Direct's highlight reel of upcoming titles.

There were reports and rumours ciculating around a Pentiment console port, which we stated in a prior article would be exciting news for everyone if true . Pentiment may not be one of Xbox's biggest hitters popularity-wise, but it's still one of its best exclusives in recent years.

Pentiment, in case you didn't know, is mint! Pentimnet was one of our Game of the Year picks back when it released in 2022, thanks in large part to its illustrated art style and fantastic writing. Obsidian Entertainment is known for its way with words, having been behind some of the best RPGs in its time. Shout out to Tyranny - one you may not have played but well worth the time.

As confirmed at today's Nintendo Direct, Grounded is making the leap from Xbox to Nintendo Switch on April 16, 2024.

Yup, this particular Direct was in the rumour mill a lot prior to the announcement of it earlier this week due to the fact the Nintendo Switch was being brought up in dicussions about Xbox taking some of its games multiplatform, and here one is.

If fact, Grounded was first up on the docket in today's Direct, which you can watch here, with a nice trailer ending with the reveal that it's launching on Switch on April 16, 2024.
