v1.0.74 Is Live - Turbo Putts, New Putting Camera, and More

Version 1.0.74 is now live and includes number of improvements and bug-fixes, as well as the addition of Turbo Putts :D. Thank you to all of our players new and old, we appreciate each and every one of you so much!

Development is heating up as we are now getting close to beta, and we have planned the next minor release for 1 week from now with the next major version 1.0.8 due in a few weeks being the final of alpha.

Full change-log for this version:

1) New Feature - Turbo Putts!

3) Improvement - Disc cam polishes and fine tuning
4) Enhancement - No tap-ins allowed in expert mode

11) Bugfix - Lot's of fixes to the female character mesh animations (turn in place, mantling, jumping)
12) Enhancement - Color indicators on scorecard for each hole indicating ace, eagle, birdie, etc
13) Bugfix - Adjusted grass physical material to reduce sliding on some courses.
14) Enhancement - More work on celebration sequences
15) Enhancement - Minor touches and improvements to Breezy Pines
16) Enhancement - Added more in-game leaderboards continued improving the UI for these. (still a wip)
16) A number of other very small fixes, adjustments, and optimizations

New Course "Hidden Meadow" Coming Soon

Coming soon to UDG "Hidden Meadow" is a scenic 9 hole course that will challenge players with a few tunnel throws and small water hazards.

v1.0.73 Minor Release Is Now Live

1.0.73 Alpha

1) Bugfix - disable teleporting after starting a hole to prevent bug that caused player to temporarily be stuck in tee
2) Bugfix - Prevent un-equipping discs using quick slot selection once throw sequence has been started which caused round ending bug
3) Improvement - Finished hole par setup on Whispering Bluffs
4) Improvement - Added default clothing to character creator
5) Bugfix - when teleporting if you are crouched it will now automatically stand you up after the teleport.
6) Bugfix - remove M key that was in use for testing step outs
7) Improvement - Added stairs at hole #10 in Sunny Birch

There are also some other minor tweaks and fixes. Work continues to finalize angle of release mechanics, and soon we'll be ready to patch in the first set of challenges, missions, and progression system.

Halloween Patch

The holiday season is upon us, and for most of us it has been a bumpy road through 2020 to say the least. So while lot's of great progress is happening on the remaining core game-play features, we wanted to change things up and have some fun to get in the Halloween spirit.

Sunny Birch has gotten a bit of a make-over and has been transformed into "Spooky Birch". This Halloween themed course will be playable through the end of the month.

While this isn't an official release we did squeeze in a couple of other small patches.

  • Targeting system now works with Tees and Baskets
  • Day/Night cycle has been set to 3 hours each
  • Further tweaked night-time lighting on several courses
  • Fine-tuned sun hazard on Dusty Canyon
  • Changed sun angle on Dusty Canyon so morning rounds to not start first hole with sun hazard anymore

Version 1.0.72 is now live

Version 1.0.72 is now live for all Steam players. We're very excited to have Steam stats now working (more to be added soon). Leader-boards are now also being tested out and will be polished over the next couple of releases..

Chestnut Lakes had some holes that were very difficult with the current throw power. We will soon be finalizing the player ability system which will make it possible to increase throw power, accuracy, etc. In the meantime we have added safer shot placement options on Chestnut Lakes making it playable with base throw power.

Please welcome the new course "Whispering Bluffs" to the game. An 18 hole course with sweeping views and challenging par 4 and 5 holes.

6) Enhancement: New physically based unified water system with realistic ripples, caustics, particles etc
7) Enhancement: Feminine posture and locomotion for female custom characters
8) Enhancement: Hole previews can now be triggered for the hole in play even when not standing on the tee pad.
9) Disabled SteamVR until full VR support is ready.
10) Enhancement: Added an additional camera rotation mode that allows for a full 360 deg. view of the player.
11) Bugfix: Fixed hole scoring on Par 4 or greater holes
12) Bugfix: Upgrade from UE4.22 to 4.24 cleared out the default RHI config. We believe this is what was causing the random crash on startup to happen. The game will now default to DirectX11 as it did before the Unreal Engine update which caused the random crashes to start.
13) Enhancement: Steam leaderboards! (rough version still a WIP)
14) New Course!: "Whispering Bluffs"

The next major release will contain the long-awaited arrival of being able to change release angles! Before that we plan to have a smaller release or two with mostly bug-fixes.
