Ultimate Disc Golf v1.0.71 Is Live

We got a lot of great feedback on the last major release, and have fixed several small bugs while also finalizing some of the sound settings including the intro music for this minor release.

1) Fixed day/night cycle - all courses now have a 60 minute day and night
2) Fixed night lighting to make it easier to see where one is going
3) Intro Music - Music volume setting now works, and the intro music will now select randomly from 6 tracks.
4) Voice volume now works for character "effort" sounds cues
5) SFX volume now works for most sounds like disc impact and "whoosh".
6) Fixed Sunny Birch preview image in menu (need to switch out with newer image)
7) Trajectory preview now works with difficulty setting (static on easy / normal, moves on hard / expert)
8) Power meter now works with difficulty settings (one chance on hard / expert, endless chances on easy / normal)
9) Release point for putts has been adjusted. Putts were releasing off to the left and should now be more accurate.
10) Music 100% volume has been adjusted down to be more in line with other sounds in the game
11) New hole completion cinematic (Only on breezy pines for public testing before finalizing)

Ultimate Disc Golf Version 1.0.7 Is Live

This next major release of Ultimate Disc Golf is now live for all Steam players. We appreciate everyone's patience as we worked to upgrade the game from Unreal Engine 4.22 to 4.24 for this release.

Many things have been improved / overhauled including but not limited to:

Animation / character locomotion system
Menu system
Character creation system
Throwing mechanics

There is still much to do, but we are extremely excited about this release as it marks a solid step in the right direction for the game.

Version 1.0.7 Releasing Soon

It's been a while since the last release, but there is a good reason why. The game was recently upgraded to use Unreal Engine 4.24 which opened up a lot of new features under the hood. This decision was not made lightly, but the team felt it was better to do it now while still in alpha and waiting until later would only make the process more time consuming.

Upgrading is looking like the right decision, since the last release 1.0.6 we have been able to improve / overhaul several major things such as the custom character creation, locomotion system, and the entire menu system. This meant a longer wait between releases than the 1-2 week release cycle we had been consistent with.

Check out these videos of some updates that will be a part of the next release.

The next version will be releasing in just a few more days.
