Temple of Snek has had it's first update out of beta! v.0.1.7

The first major update is still to come but for now, here's a few little quality-of-life additions, and fixes to minor errors.

It's a great time to dip into the dungeon, if you haven't already ... and remember to leave a review, it really helps!

Improvements since 0.1.2:
  • Animated logo on main menu.
  • Options menu now accessible from the pause screen in Story Mode.
  • Adjusted camera position in eastern Treasury to highlight a doorway.
  • Added and alternative route near the Old Dungeon Entrance to avoid a potential softlock should players decide to backtrack.
  • Area name added to pause-map screen.


Fixes:
  • Fixed collision bug in Torture Chambers.
  • Minor edits to Traditional Chinese and French translations.
  • Minor update to credits.
  • Fixed issue where hitting the reset button while passing above or sideways over a checkpoint would restore the previous checkpoint instead of the latest one.
  • Fixed a potential softlock that could happen in the Guard Rooms, if Snek died while a priestess was holding a door open for her. So rude!
  • Fixed FOV for ultrawide, super-ultrawide, mega-hyper-wideboi and non-standard aspect ratios.
  • Fixed issue where trying to unpause the start menu for Classic Mode would start an empty game.
  • Fixed a divide-by-zero error that would have destroyed the entire universe if the player had looked at the pause map before moving one tile.
  • Bordered Window size options now include some standard wide and ultrawide sizes by default, in the event that the engine is unable to suggest better options.
  • Pressing Escape / pause on the Options menu now cancels options and returns to the main menu or the pause menu as you'd expect.
  • Animated logo now only plays on first loading the game, and a bug where it would pause before completing if it took too long to load is now fixed.
  • Navigating UI with the keyboard or gamepad now displaces the mouse and avoids the pointer blocking button input. Now also works with Options sub-menu buttons.
  • Key mappings that have been unbound now stay unbound unless you bind them again.
  • Fixed issue where it was possible to use fast-mode in one-step mode if you timed it right, which caused problems.
  • Fixed a one beat delay in snek-cam activing when using one-step mode, which would cause you to crash in tight spaces.
  • Tapping fast-mode button super fast no longer gets you stuck in fast-mode.
  • Fixed some missing area name translations that appeared in v.0.1.5.
  • Experimental tweak to snek growth particles that might reduce reported physics-engine crashes in for long sneks (e.g. Classic Mode).
  • Experimental minor tweak to water shader to fix black line and pixel artefacts on low quality settings.
